    When the Thunder took a 15 point lead midway through the 4th quarter, it looked like this series would return to Oklahoma City. But late game heroics by CJ McCollum, Mo Harkless, set the stage for the most dramatic series ending shot we've ever seen by Damian Lillard.

      C N I didn’t make that read at all. OKC was very competitive during that series against the Warriors and they seemed to have the momentum with them for most of the time. I applaud KD for leaving but don’t forget that one of the reasons why many were surprised that he went to GS was because of how well the Thunder did against them that whole season which seemed to be a conception of a fierce rivalry.

    • @cnelsonlv999
      @cnelsonlv999 5 років тому +7

      @@davidmuller6011 KD's performance in that game wasn't as bad as Westbrook's. But I am not talking about that game... I am talking about KD single-handedly lifting the team on his back against the Spurs in the previous series. The fact is... OKC shouldn't have been playing GS at all that year. It was only because of KD's game 4 performance that their season was saved. That was THE game when it became clear KD was done with Westbrook! People still overlook that game... but THAT is when it all happened. I personally don't put any stock into anything that happened against GS. They never really had any business being in that series, and they were definitely going to lose against the Cavs if they did manage to get to the Finals. That was all just formality... the move was done after Game 4 against the Spurs.

    Damian Lillard is one of my new favorite players. Westbrick continues to shoot 30% on the field. Too many misses, too many unguarded 3 pt shooters, too many seconds lost due to him trying to grab all those empty rebounds (still leading the league in uncontested rebounds), too many forced assists (resulting in low percentage shots for his teammates and turnovers), too many unfinished drives that resulted to easy baskets for his opponents. Organic stats will always lead to wins, stat-padding doesn't do a thing.

      Ugh! I am a lifelong Bulls and Jordan fan. Watched all of their games... and that is probably my least favorite game-winner of Jordan's career. The Game 7 shot against the Cavs was WAY more impressive. Come on, man! How can you even compare that very pedestrian and boring shot, which wasn't even a walkoff... to this ridiculous walk off shot by Lillard! NO! Absolutely not! Dump that shot in the trash bin... it is the most overrated shot in NBA history! Again... I say that as an absolute diehard Bulls and Jordan fan! Dump that shot in the trash where it belongs! It was garbage, it was boring, and there was nothing special about it, except that it was Jordan's last shot as a Bull. Jordan had AT LEAST 10 game winners (playoffs and non-playoffs) that were better than that one!

      @@elgererolon1489 Ugh! No! Jordan made so many game-winning shots where he just shook a guy with a great move, or made an amazing shot. That one he did neither. It was a good no call, but he clearly helped Russell to the floor with his hand, and made a very easy wide open jumper. I watched it live when it happened, and basically it was a golf clap kind of situation. Oh... there he goes again.
      What Lillard did was absolutely cold-blooded, and that's bullshit to call it luck! Lillard made that same shot early in the game. Just bullshit! Sorry, you are WAY wrong! Jordan's shot against the Cavs (another one I watched live as a teenager) was MUCH more exciting and impressive. Me and my buddy were going crazy when we watched that. The Jordan Finals shot I remember just as clearly... and it was just kind of a look and a nod. Yep!
