When the Thunder took a 15 point lead midway through the 4th quarter, it looked like this series would return to Oklahoma City. But late game heroics by CJ McCollum, Mo Harkless, set the stage for the most dramatic series ending shot we've ever seen by Damian Lillard.

Westbrook: *exists*
Coach Nick: Can you hear me shaking my head?
hahahahaha holy damn that has me dying
Westbrook made it so easy tho lol
Underrated comment! Had me choking my food 😂
Im dead
Lmao bruhhh😂
Lillard had 21 more points in only 2 more shot attempts than westbrick.
M fuck you, Westbrook averages more rebounds and assists, so he’s better overall. Lillard is just a better shooter
@@kobesan42 So you mean to say Westrbrook is better because of tRiPLe dOubLe ?
M that’s the beauty of it. I knew Dame was good, but I had my doubts because of what happens in the playoffs. I’m enjoying the matchup between he and Westbrook, but I doubt Westbrook still. His stats seem to be getting him nowhere. They seemed to have a solid team this year too.
Cause he’s better than everyone but curry
KAIDZ lmaooo, I just wanted to troll. Dame kicked his ass the whole series
there are 5 walk off playoff buzzerbeaters in NBA history
dame has 2 of them
Who has the others?
I mean Lebron has 2 last year too
Ralph Sampson and 2 from MJ

My cousin was arguing that Russ was playing well this series because he had a few triple doubles. I told him they were still down 3-1 so what do those stats do for him now? Now everyone can see that Dame is a top 3 PG in the league
this man damian really CASUALLY sidestepped from the logo😤🔥🔥
Mans was an outlier in the data set

This video proves that Dame suffers from a rare case of BADASSERY
👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏
Cringy AF but somehow still good 👏
Badassery against weak teams.

He unlocked the next level, knew he had to get the job done after last season.
No other shot has this resume: the final play... for 50 points... for the win... for a playoff victory... for a playoff series victory... over an All Defensive Team defender 5 inches taller... it is THE GREATEST SHOT IN NBA HISTORY. Period.
this was my far the most gutsy game winner ive ever seen bruh, dame dolla is cold blooded
Westbrook and self reflection, good joke. Dude hasn't changed a thing about his game his whole career doubt he will start now
We talking about a guy who literally wears a necklace with his name on it...
Those Dudes never change anything because they´re too full of them self
Because of his potential Westbrook is one of the biggest tragedy’s in sports
@@yoced8213
pffff as long as it is self inflicted I can´t see any tragedy in this. A tragedy is a story like DRose or Shaun Livingston or even Gordon Hayward... But a dude who is just to dumb/stubborn to become the greatest version of himself is no tragedy. In this particullar case I would even say it´s only stupidity.
JustLooseMe true bro
JustLooseMe it’s just so ANNOYING
Improve on his weaknesses? Russ will look at his inefficient triple double and be fine with how he played.
Quite the poetic ending for Westbrook.
Next question!
His triple - double s means nothing when His team is loosing. He is Just loking for His stats, some times you have to play for your team not trying to be a hero every time
Russ will be working on a new taunt lol
in Westbrook's mind he won that matchup lolol
Westbrook's clock management make me shaking my head. He's always like that from Scott Brooks era and never change since.
Hakeem R. Daud that's why KD left the OKC russ didn't change anything...
jordan michael KD left OKC cause he couldn’t get it done. Stop this revisionist bullshit
@@ItMeRishi"Revisionist" Relax it's just basketball and not history that actually matters. NBA is a business, and he just did the right business move since he won 2 rings, our opinions are irrelevant in the long run. Shaq was despised in Orlando for leaving them but look how history has treated him as a winner in LA, he did the same as KD did lmao.
@@ItMeRishi yeah he couldn't get it done because Russ is there, that's why he left OKC, that's the fucking point of the comment, go watch Cricket if you can't understand logic and basketball
@@ItMeRishi Westbrook had KD harden melo ibaka oladipo and PG.....and cant cant win at all???????
This has been a kinda rough season for the blazers, so every time we have a bad loss I come back to this video and it never fails to put I huge, stupid grin on my face. Damian Lillard is that dude and I hope more than anything we can get him a ring before his career is over
The defense on that shot was actually really impressive, great reaction time. There's just no stopping Dame.
They let a man with 47 pts dribble the air our the basketball with the clock going down and never once sent a dbl team at him. Get the ball out of his hands and make someone else beat you... simple
Clutch shot. Really really really stupid decision to take it. Clutch shot tho but again that was such a dumbbb shot selection
@Cameron Rutt Not for Dame. Dude can hit that consistently. More consistent than russ will ever be
@@realkhyri idc if he CAN hit it. Its still a low percentage shot. Pg played grest defense. If he misses that shot we better have ripped him for it. Anyways still a great shot
Cameron Rutt 8-12 the series not a low pct
One thing I learned from this is Westbrook has terrible shot clock management and playmaking in the clutch skills.
Not shit?
You did Westbrook didn’t
Jokić would be a better than russ for playmaking
So you are about 6 years late 🤔
Brandon Malone did you see him two years ago. Clearly you're not watching the same basketballs as I do.
The shot legit gave me the longest goosebumps I’ve ever had
I was stuck for like 10 minutes with a blunt in my hand I couldn't even smoke it😂
Saw a comment on another video. “KD put his legacy in jeopardy just to leave Westbrook”.
Yea... and if you watched OKC's playoff run that year, and the play of both Westbrook and KD... it should be very clear why he did it, and why it was unquestionably the right move. He had no choice...
@@cnelsonlv999 it was the right move, yes. But let's not try to play revisionist history here and act like KD didn't shit himself when they were up 3-1 either
Dumb fuck. No one was questioning him leaving OKC. It was the fact that he joined the Warriors. He literally could have went to any other team besides the Cavs & no one would have cared.
C N I didn’t make that read at all. OKC was very competitive during that series against the Warriors and they seemed to have the momentum with them for most of the time. I applaud KD for leaving but don’t forget that one of the reasons why many were surprised that he went to GS was because of how well the Thunder did against them that whole season which seemed to be a conception of a fierce rivalry.
@@davidmuller6011 KD's performance in that game wasn't as bad as Westbrook's. But I am not talking about that game... I am talking about KD single-handedly lifting the team on his back against the Spurs in the previous series. The fact is... OKC shouldn't have been playing GS at all that year. It was only because of KD's game 4 performance that their season was saved. That was THE game when it became clear KD was done with Westbrook! People still overlook that game... but THAT is when it all happened. I personally don't put any stock into anything that happened against GS. They never really had any business being in that series, and they were definitely going to lose against the Cavs if they did manage to get to the Finals. That was all just formality... the move was done after Game 4 against the Spurs.
can you hear me dropping my jaw?
SirRoger this comment was literally perfect ahaha
Lillard has been criminally underrated for a long while now. hopefully with this series, he finally gets the recognition he deserves.
Coach Nick: ‘lillard hits the most epic buzzer beater in nba history”
Kawhi: hold my snowball
Average Weeb it wasn’t a do or die situation? It was literally game 7 in the semi-finals and was about to head into overtime with Philly having all the momentum. What’s your point?
Russ is the most overrated PG in NBA history, pure example of peoples addiction to athleticism over game knowledge and actual skill.
funny thing is Dame is more athletic but uses it inteligently rather than weatbrook who is already starting to decline. Dame has a 43 inch vert westbrook just 36
@@TheDAWinz dawgggg noooo. One thing RW has is athleticism no way is a another pg that athletic.
@@N0.M3rcy Prime D Rose was the most athletic PG of all time. Russell is just the most aggressive.
Alongside Steve Nash
Lillard is better than Kyrie while getting 10 times less media attention. Legend
Hold up, we'll see how Kyrie is on his own in the Playoffs against a tough team.
Let's wait. But yeah I believe Lillard is better. Has more playoffs experience with much less talent
Wait didn't lillard just got sweep by jrue holiday last season? Even a rookie donovan mitchell outplayed westbrook last season chill bruh
Yea... Lillard is officially the #2 PG in the NBA. I had him right behind Kyrie, but this one officially puts him in front.
Yeah but. Irving has yet to get past the second round without LeBron. Dame has more playoff appearances playing in the west.
But let's wait...
Dame:I scored the most clutch buzzer beater.
Kawhi :hold my beer
Dame is the 2nd best point god. I bet OKC will go separate ways with Billy Donovan, while changing the pieces around George and Westbrook.
They should have gotten rid of him ages ago
Coaching wasn't the problem though, Russ is a liability.
Advait Patil I always thought the 3 best PG’s were Curry, Kyrie, and Westbrook. The top 3 PG’s are now Curry, Kyrie, Dame.
yes and okc will still get first round exits year after year, coz russ is the real cancer

To be honest if that was in the WCF or Finals that would be the greatest shot in NBA playoffs history it’s in the top 3 though
Dame is too cold. First he drops 50, then the game winner, then the wave and now the pic in the thumbnail looking like an album cover. 🔥🔥🔥

Westie was trying to beat Lillard.
Lillard was trying to beat the thunder. That’s why he won.

I was waiting for this video. OKC 👋🏾👋🏾
I'm a rockets fan so that memory hurts lol, but dame is cold and I love watching him. What a way to seal up a 50 point game, that was one of those games where he could have only scored 20 but they were all in such needed moments, so clutch.
That walking away "bye bye" hand gesture is fucking epic!!!!! Not only because you got the buzzer beater but because you dropped 50 on them and nailed the shit out of the coffin.

When you hear *shot by curry* but look up and its portland
Yeah.I keep forgetting that Seth Curry plays for Portland. Its like people need to say the thhhhhhh part.
The build up to this game winner is amazing.
Theres gonna be a 999ovr dame on 2k18
Lilard really ended a whole franchise with one shot
When dame last shot goes down, I was 30 seconds stared at my phone. It was unbeliveable. Props to Portland and Dame for having a great feature like this. (Not a thunder fan) hahahha
00:45 he said BYE BYE!? omg that's my new favorite player
One of the best performances I’ve ever seen. From start to finish each shot was very necessary. Absolutely amazing!!
Paul George couldn't defend it better
Watch Seth Curry up by the OKC bench as Dame sets up for the shot. He turns to the bench with about 3 seconds to go and says "you guys ready to go home?"
Nobody:
Coach Nick:Can u hear me shaking my head
Westbrook: Next question!
Lillard: Ok I love you. Bye Bye
he did it twice btw. not just the coincidence.
I'm surprised people were shocked this happened. I was thinking that Westbrook should've left his man and charged ahead to force Liliard to pass it. I knew it was going in. And I couldn't have been happier.
I love the way Dame give that bye2 after that dagger
It's definitely not the best in nba history. I think his shot against the rockets was better being down 2 and all
I don't know man... different situations and everything... but something about the confidence of taking that shot just puts it on another level. The Rockets situation was more desperation... down 2 with just a couple seconds on the clock.
@@cnelsonlv999 a couple seconds? My mans only had .9 and still got it done.
@@tydye731 That just proves my point even more. It was a desperation shot. It was beautiful and clutch... but it wasn't the same as last night. That was an assassin moment!
Its better actually down with 2 points in 0.9 secs puts a pressure. While this one is tie. But one things for sure about this is it is "savage" and cold blooded shot that pg and okc had tasted. "Never serve cold food" unless you hate them.
It is got to be top 5. For me, it's not just the situation, the depth, or anything like that. It is just because of that "bye bye" wave. That was to perfect. Like, nice try, but GTFO!
Legend has it he's still shaking his head to this day
hi, coach Nick. can we get a video on Westbrook's/OKC's R1 exit?
I could literally watch 20 hours of analysis from you without getting tired. Great stuff.
I want to see that dame do that vs the gsw
Ever since I started watching your vids months ago my defense and basketball iq period has gotten a lot better
Best playoff buzzer beater in NBA playoff history, no doubt about it, no arguments.
I swear at 8:01 I thought I heard "f*ck it" instead of "bucket"....I was so focusing watching PG's defense that I guess I could hear his thoughts too. What an amazing clutch game winning shot that was...
Damian Lillard is one of my new favorite players. Westbrick continues to shoot 30% on the field. Too many misses, too many unguarded 3 pt shooters, too many seconds lost due to him trying to grab all those empty rebounds (still leading the league in uncontested rebounds), too many forced assists (resulting in low percentage shots for his teammates and turnovers), too many unfinished drives that resulted to easy baskets for his opponents. Organic stats will always lead to wins, stat-padding doesn't do a thing.
To me, steph‘s game winner vs OKC vs the best. But this was nevertheless insane o.o
Yeah but then again. A playoff series clinching game winner will always be better than a reg season game winner.
That game winner was out of this world
One thing is for sure, OKC needs to break up and enough of Paul George and Westbrook tandem.
NO!!!! THEY newd a new COACH!!!!! U don't know what ur talking about

That was the most epic game winner I have seen happen live. Lillard was amazing throughout the first half, and came through in the clutch at the end. The Blazers totally deserved to make the 2nd round. I would love to see a GSW vs POR WCF series!
I got chills watching that shot on TV

the BEST game so far in the playoffs no doubt
1)Curry
2)Kyrie
3)Dame
*Welcome to the top 3 Dame Dolla*
Damian Lillard is so underrated, it's sick.
That is special, I wish he was in a big market so people can see this guy playing almost every night, funny thing is, a lot of people don't know who he is still, cause of where he plays ball.
Mo Harkless was the unsung hero of the fourth quarter, constantly attacked with off ball cuts and got good looks when nobody on Portland but Dame could buy a bucket
You say the best nba game winner in history? No hate but how bout curry against okc as well. He got injured and managed to score and with a timeout he shoots from the half. In my opinion that's the best game winner in history... I think😂😂
That was in regular season.
Skelly_ BuildzYT hes talking about best game winning shot in the playoff, the curry shot is in regular season
For me, the curry shot is also the most memorable buzzer beater~
Skelly_ BuildzYT bruh this the playoffs and he hit a game winner it’s like someone sniping you final 2 for victory 😂
Skelly_ BuildzYT also this was against Russ who was trash talking him and dame put 50 on his head with the game from 37 ft
It's about Dame time this guy got his recognition he's been balling.
*Sorry but this is not the most epic game winning shot in NBA history. That's an overstatement. Jordan's championship shot will always be the best*
Ugh! I am a lifelong Bulls and Jordan fan. Watched all of their games... and that is probably my least favorite game-winner of Jordan's career. The Game 7 shot against the Cavs was WAY more impressive. Come on, man! How can you even compare that very pedestrian and boring shot, which wasn't even a walkoff... to this ridiculous walk off shot by Lillard! NO! Absolutely not! Dump that shot in the trash bin... it is the most overrated shot in NBA history! Again... I say that as an absolute diehard Bulls and Jordan fan! Dump that shot in the trash where it belongs! It was garbage, it was boring, and there was nothing special about it, except that it was Jordan's last shot as a Bull. Jordan had AT LEAST 10 game winners (playoffs and non-playoffs) that were better than that one!
@@cnelsonlv999 that's a chip winning shot. At to think that it came from an amazing steal, no time out made. A championship shot perfectly executed versus 1st round eliminating shot. Lillard's was 50 percent luck, Jordan's was absolute skill and finesse.
@@cnelsonlv999 i would even rate Lillard's eliminating shot to Rockets way back 2014 better than this one.
@@elgererolon1489 Ugh! No! Jordan made so many game-winning shots where he just shook a guy with a great move, or made an amazing shot. That one he did neither. It was a good no call, but he clearly helped Russell to the floor with his hand, and made a very easy wide open jumper. I watched it live when it happened, and basically it was a golf clap kind of situation. Oh... there he goes again.
What Lillard did was absolutely cold-blooded, and that's bullshit to call it luck! Lillard made that same shot early in the game. Just bullshit! Sorry, you are WAY wrong! Jordan's shot against the Cavs (another one I watched live as a teenager) was MUCH more exciting and impressive. Me and my buddy were going crazy when we watched that. The Jordan Finals shot I remember just as clearly... and it was just kind of a look and a nod. Yep!
Sorry... just no way!
@@elgererolon1489 As for the shot against the Rockets, it is a tough comparison. That one was 0.9 seconds left. It was more like Horry's shot. Just catch and heave. It was a beautiful shot, for sure... but the one last night was just so cold-blooded... to dribble out the clock and say, if you're gonna let me shoot it cleanly from here, I am going to end your season!
Been watching for 40+ years... never seen anything like that to end a series!
Dame Lillard is the most clutch player in the NBA and if he keeps on with this his reputation through time will be as an all time big shot player

Logic: We really got torched on inefficient shooting and overzealous drives. Is there a way we can fix that?
