EXTRACTION is so good realistic action movie I enjoyed most. The moments seems going with my surroundings and too fast to control the anxiety and with asian flavour.
Just like after playing an Assassin's Creed game I would look at a building and start to assess the quickest way to climb it, or after playing Red Dead Redemption 2 I was constantly looking at the sky for birds!
Just give these former stuntmen and stunt coordinators like Extraction director Sam Hargrave , Chad Stahelski(John Wick 1, 2 & 3), and David Leitch(John Wick, Deadpool 2 and Atomic Blonde) SOLID SCRIPTS and they will give you some kickass action films with AMAZING choreography and well shot action. Another Stunt coordinator, Gareth Evans gave us The Raid movies. Which IMO are some of the BEST action films of all time.
Fun fact: that Korean pin actually says Hemshiggy (or Hemshiki), which is a cutesy nickname based on his last name Korean fans made up for him. Some ppl think it suits him b/c he's friendly and cute and the name is similar to 햄긱 (Hemshig/k), a commonly used nickname for hamsters. (if that seems odd think of Fido or Rover for dogs)

The Bengali language they used was the Bengali type language of Calcutta. *BELIEVE* me, not even a single cast of the movie was from Bangladesh. There were only Indians, and some from a state of India, Calcutta. None of the locations of the movie was from Bangladesh either. Their shootings were only done from India and Thailand 😒

Extraction...In this movie, Bangladesh has been completely misrepresented, which is really disappointing to see from such a high level film production house. The whole environment was inappropriate . Yes, Dhaka has a lot of slums and dirty places, but most of the areas in Dhaka are now well developed with an actual standard and beautiful road system. If they set up the scene somewhere else in Bangladesh, it would've been more convincing and attractive. Basically, they represented unclean, messy and frowzy roads from Dhaka in this movie where Dhaka has one of the best and high quality road systems in Bangladesh. In reality, Dhaka doesn't have that kind of dense jungle anywhere near the city, obviously, not near around the Buriganga river. The way of criminal classes in Bangladesh are completely different. Remember, This is not Africa, people do not employ child soldiers here. And they certainly do not carry AK-47 in hand and in that open the way they represented. The uniforms and looks of our police department were completely misjudged. They were trying to portray the elite force of Bangladesh which they represented as highly trained Law Enforcement Squad. But actually they are not regular police and they deals with counter-terrorism and special stuff. It should've been the police that actually deals with the criminal or action in the street. Police vehicles were shown wrong. Don't get me wrong, the entire movie was brilliantly shot and exceptionally action-packed. But this kind of improper and inaccurate information provide a complete misrepresentation of Bangladesh to the viewers all around the world. Viewers of this movie, who doesn’t have any idea about Bangladesh will get untrue and wrong conception about a beautiful country which has been misrepresented in the set of this movie. And about the accents they used, the accent of the local was completely wrong, they were speaking in an accent which is usually used in West Bengal in India where People in Bangladesh have a completely different accent. Finally, they made some scenes with child terrorism, random violence a norm and represented Bangladesh all about violence and a 3rd world terrorist country like other African and Middle Eastern countries, They have displayed our highly trained law enforcement squads as the puppies of drug lords, like they’ve mostly showed about African countries... And that is what they did wrong!
