Really well done video! Clear! Easy to understand! You have a calm, reassuring voice. You make it appear easy. And I love the clarity of your video tape footage.
This is a very educational video. Thanks! I still have one question tho: I have a Megane 3, 1.4TCe, 2012. Do I need to change all those 4 cables (under each wheel)? Thanks for your answer!
Would it not be a good idea to put some product on the new ABS sensor before bolting it in place so that it doesn't stick and impossible to remove next time?
My ABS sensor(Altima 2007) has a bunch of white glue/epoxy inbetween the plastic holder and the metal frame at 1:28, I managed to remove the bolt and move the plastic surrounding the cable but there is also this white glue/epoxy from what it appears to be inside the sensor hole aswell to keep the sensor tight in (I highly doubt this was done from the manufacturer), my sensor is working but I need to remove it for replacing my bearing hub, any ideas how to loosen it without damage? is the sensor sensitive to glue removing agents? thank you
Why not try cleaning the tip of the metal sensor first with a microfiber cloth. its magnetic and it picks up stuff. An easy fix unless an OEM level scan tool says the sensor is dead. Maybe there's wire harness damage or somehow the plastic connector is damaged.
Later on you will be dealing with loss of power in the gas pedal I did that and now I’m dealing my car not wanting to drive and it’s not communicating correctly on what the speed is so it only lets me do 20 mph
CarsNToys I actually attempted this today on my 2002 Eclipse GT and the bolt holding in the sensor snapped in half. I'll have to drill the rest out at some point :(
Hey! Would this fix the fact that my speedometer doesn’t work? I’ve already replaced the speed sensor that’s mounted in the transmission and it still doesn’t work
This video was on to the point direct.... 👌 I just have 1 question. What type of sensor is it? I Mean hall sensors, Magneto resistive sensors, Or tachometer sensors? Please help.
My sister has a dodge caliber that needs a new wheel sensor and the way she described it to me the dodge dealership said it is in the bearing. Now I know the caliber has this outer sensor exactly where the one you just replaced is but is there an inner sensor that can go bad? And do you know of a cheap place to buy the sensor?
You can often find very cheap parts on Ebay. However, they're typically unknown brands. If your sister plans on keeping the vehicle (for the long run) it's best to pay for quality parts. Good luck!
Do you know where is located the ABS sensor cable connector to the 2006 Hyundai Sonata at the passenger side? Please, let me know. Thanks a lot, bye, Manuel
Where do you buy a replacement ABS sensor? I have a 2010 Ford Edge that I am constantly replacing the brakes on. The mechanic told me that the ABS sensor could be causing the calipers to stick.
I have c1103 and c1203 code on my Infiniti fx35, year 20088. mechanic said Speed sensor needs to be changed but asking alot of money for replacing it. He is saying that after replacement codes need to be cleared. My question is whether codes will automatically clear after replacement or need to be done manually? If auto, then I can replace the sensor myself

My garage tells me i need to replace my bearing aswell if I want to put a new sensor because mine broke (lexus is250 2008). Are they just trying to rip me off?
Probably not they will probably ruin it trying to get it off if its require to get the the sensor it all depends. Is the car vibrating now when driven?

More info than the haynes manual provides! Thanks.
Mine broke in the hole still particularly connected would you suggest lots of rust penetrater or ?
I had the same thing happen when replacing my ball joints, I ended up taping the old one out with a punch/screwdriver

Great video of meticulous work, that's why I've subscribed. I wonder whether it'll save some pains if the harness was spliced near the wheel ...
Great video will do my own abs sensor on my Chrysler 300
Can just cleaning the sensor fix the problem? Should I try cleaning first before replacing cable?
It's good to replace them at 100,000 miles on your car🚗...
Thank you brother 🎉
Very helpful, thank you
anyone know why my nissan altima 2012 2.5s wheel speed sensor won’t go back in the hole after i removed it out of the hole
