You under sold this great video and over delivered. You actually put 8 tips not 7! 1. Setting high standards 2. Praise your staff. 3. Find out your teams strengths (though this could go in SWOT) 4. Do nothing 5. Use team meetings wisely 6. Learn SMART way of effective decisions 7. Build long term relationships 8. Carry out a periodic SWOT
I have been a team leader at a Logistic warehouse for 3 years and that experience combined with this content helped me reach the next level. Many thanks from California.
It was mavolus have enjoyed it, thank you so much mr. RICHARD am learning alot from yo teaching, i know i will run my hotel smoothly through yo experience, high light me more about the responsibility of hotel owner, thank you waiting for yo reply ...
Thank you very much for your amazing video to pass the interview. I have an interview with BASF Group for the supply chain planner tomorrow and the day after tomorrow (6/19) with an Italian company for warehouse manager. Next week, I have a final interview with the Germany Energy company. I'm Japanese and as I am not so good at using English, I'm anxious and nervous now. I have been a job loser since 1st March 2020 and definitely need a job to support my family.
Quite a useful set of practices. I would have a caveat about 'SMART' decisions. This works for 'well-behaved' simple problems. Most management decisions are not like this. They are 'wicked' problems at worst, and complex at best. The first step is to find the problem. What is it we need to intervene in to create a set of circumstances that can advance our mission?
Hello Richard, thank you for sharing them, very helpful and very insightful, my 2nd round interview went well last week, the next round would be more testing managerial style and how you deal with stressful situation. Can you please create a video for R&D manager role? That would be highly appreciated!

@@CareerVidz thank you Richard for those links, I think I purchased the research analyst one from your website years ago, it was very useful at that time. And thanks for sharing the management videos, I have watched many of your videos in the past couple of weeks 😀 one thing for the management style- one video it says ‘ firm, consistent and fair’, and some other videos says ‘transformational and coaching etc’, under what situation I should use which style?
@@CareerVidz Hi Richard, great news- I got the job as a R&D manager 😄 thank you so much for all the great videos! It's wonderful to hear about your aspirations to become a hotel owner! While a diploma in management isn't strictly necessary, it can be very beneficial, providing essential business and hospitality knowledge, especially since you have limited experience. Consider pursuing formal education or gaining hands-on experience in various hotel roles to build your skills. Good luck on your journey!
Thanks Richard- I apparently wowed the interview panel of 6 and was offered the graduate programme place - from over 200 applicants. I’m now prepping for my fast track leadership programme. Your guidance and training is second to none. Do you think it’s a good idea to send a nice personalised acceptance letter?

doing nothing is important as manager. as in job interview dont reveal your minimum acceptable compensation untill the last possible moment. attempt to have your counterpart to reveal their cards first, regardless if it is human interaction or maturity wihin circumstances.
when people try to give advice especially people that work in management they are nasty about it and come off as a smart Alec people would be more open to advise and learning if it was done with respect which it rarely is
