@Eulalia Schultz I couldn't tell you how many as I only do a couple of 42in ones at a time. The time that they stay inflated though, is dependent on the quality of the balloon. I've had some that go down after 2 days and some that float for 6 months
Hi, the only difficulty is getting past the self sealing bit (you see me struggle to get the tip of the nozzle through), you can't blow them up like normal balloons. but if you can get a tube in there, then maybe

Can u do this with a normal air balloon pump? Like the small, long ones?
As long as you have a nozzle that will fit in then yes. They obviously wont float though and will only hang......

Hard to say as the canister doesnt feel like there is anything in from the start. probably about 12-16 of the big foil balloons in each one

Where do you get the helium tank from and is that all you need ?
Got two tanks from Amazon UK. If you have balloons, you only need the tank as it will come with an adaptor.
u can use a straw besides the tank
