Glad you added the PiP into your videos 🙌🏼 The problem with these Blu-Rays is the lack of the original audio. No HD version has the original audio. Hendrix from NYAFF stated the majority of Woo films are already 4K remastered(shown at festivals before the pandemic)The best versions of these films are on iTunes in Asia(lacking the original audio)and restorations done by fans on the restoration forums that has the laserdisc color grading. The issues is with the official transfers that were done is that there are mix issues and Woo favorite cut of A Bullet In The Head is lost.
Does the remix of the first film have rotten new foley effects? Some of these new remixes I’ve found to be just fine, much better than the horrible sewer-pipe echo jobs found on old Megastar and Universe DVDs. Except for a missing music cue I thought the remix on the Nova Media Blu of A CHINESE GHOST STORY sounded pretty good.
@@WaverBoy Is not as bad as those with the echo chamber. Is only the gun fights from what I remembered.

Full Contact is pretty good fun! It's just had the HD treatment in Germany, suspect a UK release won't be too far behind!
I own these two a better tomorrow and a better tomorrow 2 movies on dvd, nearly wanted release on Blu-ray, do they have English dubbed audio on these Blu-ray?
Hi. Nope, no English dubs on this set, and the quality is much the same as your DVD tbh.
Nice one Dragon. I own the standalone ABT 1 from Novamedia and it is really not much of an improvement from the old DVD I had, just before you rush off and buy it. Hopefully someone does a physical release of the 4K remaster that is on AppleTV
The iTunes one which is great lacks the original audio track just like this Blu-Ray.

@@Alex-xx9lh No is just for some odd reason they like using 7.1 remix tracks on every classic film.
Any word on true remasters of The Killer and Hard Boiled? I only own both Criterion DVD's. Thanks.
Sadly,, nothing reliable I'm comfortable recommending Charlie There are the Hong Kong Rescue versions, which are both very good compilations of the best versions presently available but he takes 6 months to ship minimum ( if at all) and in my case when they did arrive, half the discs didnt work. Most folks have to open a paypal dispute to get him to respond and send out their discs, You can find clones of his versions via ebay. But for now the HK bare bones Bluray of Hard Boiled and the Japanese or Korean Novamedia Bluray of the Killer are the best legitimate versions. But I'd say just keep a hold of your Criterion's for the time being!
Hey! Thanks for the quick response. It's a shame Criterion can't get their hands back on these. They would do a proper job. These were the first DVD's I purchased back in '99.
@@charliebronson1274 My pleasure, and I couldn't agree more! I hear rumours every year that they are going to, but so far nothing has been announced conclusively. The last solid info I heard was that they could only source a decent quality version to remaster which has burnt in subs, which they are dead against using. So we're seemingly at a stalemate just now until better source materials can be found.
Just wait. The HKR has the wrong color grading and the films are already done on a 4K scan which where shown at a festival. The issue is the rights holder are being dicks about it but don’t be surprised Criterion gets them back, which is the rumor and it would make sense for them to release it.

I just saw that UHD Club released this Trilogy. Saw on ebay. Not sure if I want to support them anymore.
it has nice looking packaging, but don't think the films themselves are remastered, it's the same old upscaled prints I believe :(
@@TheFanaticalDragon After looking at again, meh. I like some of the art, but some not so much. Not of the fan of the drawings. Pretty weak.
I like the Nova one better. :)

I don’t understand the question. Are you asking if this set is on Amazon? ( it’s not) or if the movies are ( they are, French and German releases, which I’ve not checked out the versions of to know how they compare)
Much like Smokey and the Bandit, 1 is great, 2 is decent 3 is rubbish! Chow yun fat was definitely too close to the mansion exploding in the 2nd one!
