hope she got the job!! you are correct, they are a great company. glad i only live 30 minutes from them...walk into their store and everyone treats you like you are their best friend.
Be nice to have a fish fillet 'cage' or basket to stuff with peppers & Roast those babies. Nothing like fresh roasted peppers for s o b cooking. Chiles Rellenos & roasted pepper sauces oh man.. Neat find & cool that its multi-functional especially for a large canning pot. Turkey fryer would bother me, being so far off the floor. Those things are scary anyways. Have y'all ever tried smoking some herbs for storing over winter? Instead of drying? I have heard smoking can add a nice tang. www.smokinlicious.com/blog/smoked-herbs-flavors-with-smoked-herb-dust/
When I ordered the RecTec Matador, I thought they didn't have any for sale. But Rebekah figured out you have to make an account, then You can order the RecTec Matador.
I LOVE any cooking appliance or utensil, indoor or outdoor! Just ask my family, lol. We have a gas grill, and I adore our Traeger, even though it's a small one. I keep thinking I'd love to have a Blackstone flat grill but so far I've resisted it. THIS ONE... oh my, very nice and I could justify it because I have a huge pressure canner and water bath canner that really aren't made to be used on a glass cooktop. We eat leftovers a lot, because these days I have so much going on that I like to cook once, eat twice...or more! Thanks for sharing!
I feel like I was a little too excited. The sun was going down and it was getting dark, so I knew I needed to be quick. So I came across very enthusiastic.
Yes, a pavilion is what I was just getting ready to type myself. I did a lot cabin bunk house for my entertaining area. Brought plans off the net. Lopped the trees myself. And made a weekend mens time. Friday eve till Sunday night. 20 x 20 footprint with patio about same footprint. Enough space to hold 40 + folk.
Get either the Camp Chef,or Blackstone flat top grill, for those times when you need to make burgers for lots of company,or breakfast for a bunch of people. Check em out.
🌹 WOW! That is fantastic! It would be great to cook sausage and bacon, and move your meat to the side and then cook veggies and move to the side. Then you have enough cooking space to make several omelettes and top with individual preferences!
I have an army buddy who has a very similar set up, he found his large pots to be wobbly, so he being the welding guru that he is, he made himself a multi purpose bracket to sit on top of the burner body and not only that he uses a home made insert of stainless as a flat top griddle, maybe this is an idea you can adopt if need be.
Using the covers like that, you entice mice to get up under there. Most of the time it is best to leave it open so you don't have any unwanted guests on your outdoor equipment.
Quite a versatile little device. Water bath canning, wok cooking, and crawfish boiling! Never thought about using giant cheese slices as a hotdog bun. Great idea Rebecca. Also the stain on the cabin looks awesome.
EXCITED EXCITED. yes yess yes. I am so happy to get this video. Hope there is some cooking goin on. so hoping. UPDATE>>>>enjoyed this SO MUCH. I am always happy to get cooking in the videos. happy happy. That looked amazing too. I went to Amazon to see what the price of this is and they are SOLD OUT. You caused it to be sold out. :)
What an awesome video, thanks man! I just purchased mine online after recently buying their RT700 Pellet grill (absolutely love it) and I too couldn't believe they didn't offer a cover. Thanks to you I can make sure mine gets protected when it shows up. Big plus to you bud. Great video!
I too already have a Camp Chef explorer and went after a Southwest Disk cooker. I like the thril of having a new toy as well, but i have to find anything i could cook in the wok cooker that I can’t make on the flat top griddle for my camp chef.
Cooker looks like fun. Food looked wonderful. I wonder about it being so close to the wood siding. Maybe move it out a foot or two? And make sure it doesn't wobble.
Great video . I use my Campchef burner for cooking outside when I'm useing the RV . Never cook in the RV . Looks like you hit the jackpot with that RecTec Matador wok . I can see that you're real excited about the purchase. Please do a video when you make your fried rice . No link at the bottom for the cover . Thanks .
Evan, are you still happy with the Rec Teq Matador? Does it get hot enough for frying as I heard it does not, as I am thinking of buying one. My husband and I love watching you on UA-cam.
I thought the double burner was more powerful than the camp he'd stove, but it is not. I think the burner turns out to be around 18,000 BTUs, and the camp chef was 30,000. I do use a 12 inch Dutch oven on the matador to fry fish on it. But it is slower to heat up than the camp chef was.
Have you tried doing a boil with this burner yet? I have used a turkey frier burner (50,000 btu’s) before and I am a little worried it will take a long while to boil a large pot. I am wanting to incorporate the matador into an outdoor kitchen for the wok but also for canning and boils. Thanks for answering so many questions I had in this video that recteq doesn’t really touch on. ( like taking off the wind ring and using other pots on the cooker)
Kinda like a Scottle grill but larger, flatter, better heat management, cheaper and better I should have bought a Rec Tec instead of the Scottle, Anyone want to buy a barely used Scottle grill
Needs more seasoning. Rub it over with oil, get it smoking hot then let it cool. Do this 4 or 5 times to build up the oil in the pores of the metal and you'll only need to wipe it out, NEVER wash it.
Do you have any issues with it on windy days? It looks like it's pretty protected by the ring under the wok. I'm watching your video now. I've seen two other brands and the one thing that turned me off is they want $50 for a lid, $50 for a spatula and $50 for a wind deflector. You'd have over $500 in the dang thing. It doesn't appear to break down like the other brands.
Everyone in Texas is cringing everytime you said fajita. Fajitas are grilled and then cut in thin slices. The tortilla is lightly toasted and then only folded in half. But I have to say it did look good.
Hi..... great thanks you for showing your video homestead bye 👋 bye 👋 bye 👋 bye 👋👍👍👍
Just purchased one! Cant wait!!!
Wish the peppers out of my garden looked like yours! Wish they’d perfect smell-a-vision.
HELLO from chihuahua mexico, I support the idea of building a pavilion for outdoor time, GOD BLESS YOU AND YOUR FAMILY.
Recteq is awesome! Their warranty and customer service is unbeatable! Enjoy!!!
Understatement of the year. "I don't know if you can tell, but I'm a little excited"!!!!!
Nice
That looks so good and I bet it taste good
My daughter Is interviewing for a marketing position with recteq in Augusta, Georgia. They are a great company and make a great product.
hope she got the job!! you are correct, they are a great company. glad i only live 30 minutes from them...walk into their store and everyone treats you like you are their best friend.
Cooking lessons with Even. What’s next. Looks so yummy.
Look at the size of those gorgeous peppers. Nice cooker too, Enjoy.

Very nice cooker! Yummy food! Thanks
24 seconds into 17 minute video and I'm sold already
Gosh you two have a beautiful home .. !
You could take the entire pan inside. Love it! Maybe even more than a Blackstone Griddle.
When I ordered the RecTec Matador, I thought they didn't have any for sale. But Rebekah figured out you have to make an account, then You can order the RecTec Matador.
Omg I just love it.
defebetly will be

Perfect pan for Spanish Paella. All in one Dish. Make a huge amount for everyone. Check many different recipes. Yummy!!!
Rebecca’s dish looks Yummy, I can do with out bread .Glad you found the one you want.
Love the cheese/ lettuce wrap! love ther matador! Great product, I want one!
That was a wonderful explanation of the Matador's advantages over the competition.
Oh paella that would be worth watching yum
Fajitas looked awesome! Glad to see you enjoy your new toy!
The cheese idea is a great idea. I’ll have to try it.

Love to cook outside as well, nicely done!!!!
Your enthusiasm is catching!!

Looks great🤚

The chicken flied lice looked tasty at the end of the video
thats nice
You and your wife have a very beautiful house. I enjoy watching your journey!
Id be whipping up some Paella 🥘 immediately lol. One of my favorite dishes actually! Good find Evan. Im going to look this one up. Enjoy!
I think I will be adding this along with a Blackstone to my list for outdoor kitchen area. Nice review sir!
Evan you should have an outdoor cooking channel.
Evan man you gotta have me out to help on the farm please lol looking forward to see more cooking video's
I think it’s cool that you worshed the pan instead of washed love the videos and damn your making me hungry
Good job, looks great. I’ll have to look in to that cooker
This. Is. 😱😱😱😱😱😱 Must. Have. I’d never cook inside again, no joke.
Thinkin that Y'all need to add a monthly segment called "Eatin with Evan"
Using the covers like that, you entice mice to get up under there. Most of the time it is best to leave it open so you don't have any unwanted guests on your outdoor equipment.
...Great lookin' cooker, hope it does the job, stay safe and enjoy your cooking..
Hi. Nice cooker.
I see a fish fry in your future! Lol love it!
Quite a versatile little device. Water bath canning, wok cooking, and crawfish boiling!
Never thought about using giant cheese slices as a hotdog bun. Great idea Rebecca. Also the stain on the cabin looks awesome.
The grill looks great and also I didn't know about cheese wraps previously, I will have to try that sometime.
I cooked a lot in my younger days and that cooker was just what I needed on several occasions!!! Great choice!!! Thanks...Peace!!!
Bill
Thank you for sharing. I'm very interested
I think this designed for making Paella?
Perfect for Paella if you have a Spanish theme event or just like Paella.
nice!!
👍👍👍

Amazon's been sold out. Thats why I had to order it from RecTec. Still had trouble ordering it from RecTec, had to make an account first.
@@CountryViewAcres Oh, okay. thank you!

What beautiful bell peppers you grow. I do believe if offered I’d eat your chicken fajitas. Many happy days cooking
neat cooker. I think I like the cheese and lettuce version of the fajita better... just for something different. The fresh veggies do look good.
I too already have a Camp Chef explorer and went after a Southwest Disk cooker. I like the thril of having a new toy as well, but i have to find anything i could cook in the wok cooker that I can’t make on the flat top griddle for my camp chef.

Don't forget to video your fried rice cooking. I would like to see that.
i am thinking cooking breakfast on it-bacon, eggs, pancakes, etc. if it has good temperature control.
Great video . I use my Campchef burner for cooking outside when I'm useing the RV . Never cook in the RV . Looks like you hit the jackpot with that RecTec Matador wok . I forgot to add the link. I will do it now. Thanks.
@@CountryViewAcres Ok thanks
Gorgeous peppers, do you deep fry pepper rings? Great with or without batter, seeds and all (pepper slices?)!
You might think about cooking your breakfast on the RecTec.
greetings evan; the incentive is born to get a huge dish washer that will clean huge pots and pans. you say they do not make them? sure they do!
Have you plans to build a pavilion or some other structure as a dedicated outdoor kitchen?
We do hope to build a picnic shelter/pavilion one day
Now I’m jealous of your peppers, I got 0 this year😭
Man, I can see doing some fried chicken in that thing!
You need some new hay wagons with side walls and a bailer with a kicker sense you do hay by yourself
If Rebecca isn't doing carbs, you'll be make fried riced cauliflower!
Evan, are you still happy with the Rec Teq Matador?

As a side note, the wheel has been around for a long time, no need to reinvent.
Did you ever do. UA-cam video on the fried rice on the matador?
Do you still use it?
Have you tried doing a boil with this burner yet? I have used a turkey frier burner (50,000 btu’s) before and I am a little worried it will take a long while to boil a large pot. It has since been discontinued.
Probably need to move that cooker away from the wood surface of the wall behind it OR put a heat shield in front of the wall to protect it.
Needs more seasoning. Rub it over with oil, get it smoking hot then let it cool. Do this 4 or 5 times to build up the oil in the pores of the metal and you'll only need to wipe it out, NEVER wash it.
Looks good but you forgot the sour cream. 😊
👍
ok second comment, im not low carb but a cheese wrap! i think so!
Those peppers looked awesome. Did you start the plants from seed? What variety are they? I got hungry just watching! 👍
Yes, I started them from seed. "King Arthur" & "Early Sunsation" are the varieties.
@@CountryViewAcres thanks. I’m guessing you were pleased with the results.
@@gregj2647 very happy with the king Arthur peppers. They seem to be best. They are the red ones.
hot spot in middle. cold on the edges.
