When ever I see the “ General “ it’s a good day .Love seeing the work on the old engines .More please .!
Brett your parts inventory amazes me no matter how old or how odd you have one laying somewhere! Love it.
I don’t know who has a bigger hoard - Brett or mustie1 😂
Pablo feels the same way I do about that beauty Dodge - keep her stock in ALL her sameness. She looks just awesome! One of the best examples of 50's Dodge truck coolness. Fresh PTO, fresh brakes, accel pump, couple of patches, repurposed wood bed and you got yourself a heckuva useful town runner for errands and such. I give that cab a thumbs-up, for what its worth. Just another amazing grab that was unusually spared the typical northern rust attack. That flatty six purrs like a grateful kitten and she looks eager for a second chance at road life. Wins all over the place ! Cheers!!!
Not a successful will-it-run until Pablo gets to go for a cruise!! Great video. Truck is in amazing shape given it's spent most of it's life on Ontario and Manitoba roads. Look forward to seeing what's next on this one. Gotta be worth doing something with such a cherry old truck like this. Be safe and stay well.
I'm always glad you take Pablo along for a ride. And you are an amazing person. Keep up the great work.
Thanks Brent and Pablo. Really appreciate your content. More memory jogs for this old man. My first car was a 1956 Plymouth with a flat head 6 pulled from a barnyard, brought home and got running/driving. That was almost 60 years ago.
Man, that's such an awesome story of your first ride. My first car was a 1990 Ford Festiva L with ice cold AC and that's it. I was 16, in 1999. I am 39 now and I am on my 69th vehicle since then. I've never owned anything cool that was domestic, almost all of my cars have been imports, but I grew up in that age. My first car would've been a 1960s Ford Galaxie 500 with a 352 FE and an auto that was garage kept its entire life, but the guy's widow got cold feet, and I didn't blame her because that was her husband's pride and joy. She didn't last much longer, but I sincerely hope that their kids got that car. She was going to sell it to me for $500 and my uncle had helped them throughout the years, and that's why she was willing to facilitate the offer, but I didn't deserve that beautiful car at that age, so it's just as well. Knowing me I would've done something stupid with it and ragged it out, so she was right for not wanting to sell it.
I know, I'm a young buck. My two other "first cars" was a 1979 Honda Civic 1200 with a 4 speed manual and a 1990 Chevrolet Beretta GT 2.8 auto.
One man and his trusty dog, Pablo!
That's a nice truck. You are so lucky to be able to find these. Not much left around my area. I keep looking. It seems really easy for you to get it running and driving. Always a pleasure watching. Thanks 👍
Being a truck guy all my life (long time) I'm glad to see you doing a lot of trucks. Very cool Dodge. Right on Brent.
You were the happiest guy ever what keeps you going and motivated you never seem tired and this is not even your normal job You’ve inspired me to keep moving many times
I love how you're able to laugh when things aren't going perfectly. Always enjoy seeing your vids.
Those old Dodge trucks ran well and did a lot of farm work. My friend had one, don’t remember year, but it was a steak bed. Just a fine truck for many years. Would be a great flip. Thanks and best of luck.
I love the laugh everytime one if these come to life.
Excellent use of the claw hammer!
Woohoooo.!
Finally, a Dodge that runs.! And it’s Pablo approved.! Great video.
Neat old truck and a donor for the lift mechanism.
Pablo approved it is.
Great seeing the 56 Dodge rolling under it's own power!! Pablo is so cool! Love that dog.
Good stuff thanks for video. I like the way Pablo leans on you !
My Dad got me a 1950 Dodge pickup for my 14th birthday , ran and drove , I'd drive it around in my neighborhood, put it in 3rd gear and at idle u could hear everyone of the cylinders hit at w whopping 7 mph lol it was a fun truck , bought it of a farm guy in Texas, wish I'd kept it and modified it out with up graded drive trane from front to back ...... like that 56 dodge not many of them around anymore.
This channel never gets old or boring. There is always something new on the horizon. Keep up the great content Brent!!!
Your like a mad professor bringing life back to these old trucks must of been the dashing start yet awsome content fantastic footage thank you for sharing
Awesome. Pablo is like my dog, a stubborn kisser. 🤣
Brent, Pablo is thinking, " I LIKE IT!!!"...
Don't forget Pablo's Asprin a couple of times a day just to keep his joints from creaking too much.
Not a handsome truck but in good shape for its age. Thanks for the video. Always appreciated.
:-) Always good when one of your videos appears in my feed. Stay safe out there.
Another brilliant episode Brent. Pablo digs the truck in a big way.
Brent, you amaze me every time, you are a true talented halfass car / truck guy , and love when you show your random specialty tools, like this pipe bender from time to time that you hide in your hoard cave 😁👍
Had to chuckle watching you tap on the valves with a hammer while remembering Mortske doing the same thing and a valve broke. Was waiting for one to snap off on you. Lol
All in all, this seems like a pretty solid unit.
I think I laughed so hard at the look on Mortske's face. It was priceless.
@@waynedavis7245 oh, I did too. 😁🤣
The old Dodge lives to run again. Great work. Thanks for sharing.
That old hound looks like he has seen a lot of winters,,, hard to find a good friend like him,, Hope this one s restored maybe
Ole Pablo wants to ride, thankyou for another great video, you are very good at the mechanical stuff and it's a pleasure to watch you work.
These truck videos are very addictive! Lol. Wish they were available at a reasonable cost over here in the UK 🇬🇧
You have so much good junk Brent. Love ya work Mate. Billy J..... Queensland, Australia.
I got her running great that is a awesome looking truck great watch Brent 👋👍🇨🇦
Keep the great work hope you have a great day
Great to see this old truck decide to live once more. I would have thrown in the towel when I had to take the head off. You made the right move in finishing the truck to take that ride, Like you said Pablos face says it all THIS IS MY TRUCK
WOW I Had a 1956 Dodge 1/2 ton when I was a kid! 50 years ago wow!
Brent. Fun video. Thanks for sharing it. You have lots of skill to get these things running and make it look easy. Like you said..."the truck is too good to just scrap or part out for the grille" but I think using the dump truck cylinder in the NAPCO is a good plan. I'm surprised you never throw a fire extinguisher in when you take your first drives in your projects. I always have one on hand for a "first start" and first drive just for insurance. Enjoy seeing Pablo along on your rides. He's a big guy and maybe having some hip or back problems getting in and out of those tall trucks. We had a big Lab with hip problems and a kennel owner told us about Glucosamine Chondroitin. We picked up some tablets at the pet store and just threw 2-3 in his dog dish with his food every day. Seemed to help him a lot. Keep up the fun projects. Looking forward to seeing the NAPCO truck moved along.
I agree about Pablo. The bench seat was too high to get on, considering his size. It would have been easier on the passenger side, where he could get on the floor board, then get up on the seat. Same with getting down, just move the gas can out of the way.
The trucks and other projects are awesome but Man you are Blessed with your sidekicks! That super cute and funny Wife and them Sweet big old Doggos! My Wife and I were just commenting how much that Dog loves ya when he got in that cab with you. Such good times! Please give the Doggies some good scritches for us all!
Absolutely amazing Brent! I really enjoy watching how you bring life back into these great old vehicles that had been forgotten.
Hi Brent and Pablo, nice ride, Pablo wants more rides,My dream car before I pass on is 1957 chevy sdn I like to take a ride in one, at 64 years old .
My roller pigeons is all I have now
Brent another great. Video l like those old trucks to looks like Pablo does still jamming on the music later
Your are the master of auto revival!!
Another cool rig. Thanks for another great video Brent. 🍺🐾
love to see driving something most people see as scrap your best furry friend keep it up 👍💯
Great video glad you posted keep them coming thanks
One of the hardest things to find, a commercial Vehicle or work truck that is still in decent condition. My dad owned a couple of Sedan Delivery 50s vintage Chev's that were worked to pieces when he was a contractor. I'm sure that's why you don't see them often today.
Good on you for saving them.
What a neat old truck! Another awesome video. Enjoyed watching. 🍺😃✌️
Pablo's favorite ride is whatever ride dad breathed life back into at the moment ... We humans should be so easy to please.
Great video Brent.Really like the revival work.Again, the truck was someone's pride and joy off the lot.
I just keep learning stuff from you on these type videos, which I really like very much. These tutorial videos are so educational where you show all the various ways things to check on these old motors and each video I learn something new. Great job and I would love to see another four door truck build for sure, you have the General now you would have the Sergeant. Pablo loves his rides and knows when its time to go, he getting keyed in on every project now and just waiting his turn to ride. Another great video my friend, take care.
In 1993 bought me 1951 Dodge truck had a camper on it its hole life 72000 original miles had new 1963 year tires still had the paper tag on the tires it was parked because the exhaust manifold was broke and burnt a few valves easy fix. Good luck find brake parts they were unattainable in 1993 had to have the shoes relined and after 6 months search found some old stock wheel cylinders.
That is a great dog you have I just lost mine after 17 years watching you and yours remind me how great they are Ang you have a good one take care.
Pavlo knows that if he waits all good stuff will come his way!
Always a Great Watch Brent Thanks for Sharing.
Made my Day . Take care.
This is a awesome moment brother great video getting this old girl back from the dead. I truly appreciate your channel and all the Classics you bring back to life. I believe you are doing awesome things with your skills and talents. Ty for bringing us all along for the adventures.

Man I sure do love Pablo. What a character he is lol. Great running truck. She will make a good project down the line when you’re ready. Not a whole lot of rust repair which is a win. Great video. Thanks for sharing.
Your really great with those flat heads. Brent your always full of surprises. Love your work as always. Congratulations! 👍
I've seen Pablo ride in many different vehicles but this is the first time I've seen him lay claim to one.
Another great save!!! Pablo looks like he might need to cut back on the ice cream! Haha
It was great to see the general back doing what she was designed to do great station
great find Brent , and another beauty that will be saved to enjoy many more....👀👍✔
Another great project truck. You´re a lucky fella.
Neighbor has one of these. I hate passing it everyday rotting away. He always compliments my old cars. I think Ill eventually talk him out of it
As a new subscriber, I was saddened by the disaster that happened within your shop. I have been an avid watcher since I discovered your channel. I will have to say I watch your videos about 50% of the time. the only TV competition you have in this house is Gold Rush. So Kudos to you and your presentation.
I love your expressions when things go "RIGHT."
Thankfully that PTO you found was a perfect match! Just the right amount of grime to blend right in...
Amazing job once again.
so Pablo wants to keep running the drone haha. what a cool dog. i was thinking of your other Dodge with the bad motor stuffing it on a Dakota Chassis . nice truck
Great truck, I had a 52 1/2T that I put a 56 Desoto 330 Hemi into... loved it.
Great find. Thanks again for sharing your video Brent and that is a big fur baby or bark manager taking over your truck.
That is a solid old truck.... great video as usual thank you Brent.
wow a remote trigger..... miracles do happen 😅
A made in Ontario truck that had to move to another province to last long enough to come back to life, Thing is it is good hands with you. I'm sure that no matter what it turns into it will be a masterpiece . Cant wait for your next project, I'm a real fan , love your work...Stu from Ontario.............
Awesome Videos man! Trucks turning out great, and is a BEAST!

Super cool. I like it when you pull something from the grave. And got that old truck running. Great job. Keep up the great work and I will keep on watching
PABLO sad when you first rolled in i though to myself looks like no ride for a while but you surprised me again what a boss and mechanic / oh now they call them technicians not to me your the best boss lets ride YIPPEE
Lots of win here! Congrats on getting this one going. I really like this era of Dodge trucks. Those flatheads seems really hard to kill and fairly straightforward to revive. That said, a Dakota swap would be sweet! I love watching your stuff and my wife ALWAYS appreciates seeing Pablo going for a victory rip. Thanks for your content Brent!
Give Pablo an extra treat tonite, he seems like a real Mopar guy!
Nice to see the old truck running again!
What a Gem, put a nice flatbed on, and would make a great truck. Thanks for sharing. Always a pleasure watching your program. Be good and enjoy your evening. 👍
Pablo is smart 'cuz he loves Mopar's. Truck is as old as I am but it runs far better than I do. Glad to see her moving again.
I love the Channel keep up the great work awesome videos
well i really dig those rims on that truck the other good thing is if you ever want to sit out by the pond you could always park the truck next to it and start it up to do away with mosquitos from the smoke lmao hello everyone
Awesome job Brent, glad you got it running again…
You find some of the coolest vehicles. That truck is no exception👍
Man,never boring watching your activity.gbu Man and keep
