  • Technique Tutorials | Learn to smoothly sew blanket panels together for a seamless look on both sides. Sew garter stitch and seam garter stitch squares easily. Also works on seaming mitered squares together. Seam mitered square blanket.
Using the Bickford Seam there won't be a ridge on your project. CAUTION: do not use this on a sweater shoulder area that would constantly have weight pulling on it. It is a less sturdy seam but useful for one that needs to be reversible.
This technique video is a clip from the How to Knit a Blanket in Bernat Softee Chunky tutorial video. If you'd like to try the full project click here: • How to Knit a Blanket ...

Thank you so much. I needed this. You have no idea how awesome it is to find someone who can film and explain in an understandable way. Thank you once again. Happy Knitting.

Thank you for the video it was so easy to follow and it gives a really good finish to my squares. I am putting together charity blankets and the squares have been made by a lot of different knitters and this method makes it very easy to assemble so thanks again for taking the trouble.

I had clicked on this video by chance after I had just learned to knit, and what in the coincidence that I used the exact same yarn.

Thank you for this video - most of the videos I’ve found about joining squares talk about joining either garter stitch or stockinette stitch squares - this is the first one I’ve found that demonstrates seaming together squares of stitches going in different directions. So helpful!

I have a really long blanket strip that I need to to stitch...might have to double stitch to keep it tight enough. Its apporox 6 foot in length lol so might take me a few hours to do that.
