I was a year-round biker so in the winter it snows and dark. I also purchased more gear in the spring because I am preparing for the spring/summer/fall hikes.

Hmmmmm no my edc doesn't change from season to season but yes, what we use and how often definitely does change. I don't travel by air so no edc modifications have to occur because of that. The last time I was on a plane my buck 110 was acceptable and smoking on the plane was ok too. My god, things have changed.

Not so much seasonal. More purpose driven, such as, will I be breaking down boxes today, or am I going to be collecting debris. As to seasonal purchasing, birthdays are the leading consideration. Usually, there is a niece, nephew or neighbor kid who is at the right age to begin building an EDC - so a good gift is a starter set of tools.

For me it's not seasonal. I carry the same gear all year. And my wife and I don't exchange gifts on Thanksgiving or Christmas. If we need something during the year, we just buy it.

Yea that’s what I do too. I may change up knives every once in a while but I always carry the same stuff too.

I carry a brighter flashlight in the winter, but that's about the only change, and yes, if I'm traveling with just cary on you loose a lot of carry, at least I do.

the biggest deal with the changing seasons for me is down to me wearing different clothes.
i carry roughly the same items, but it drastically changes the way i carry them.
in winter a thick jacket with lots of pockets and in summer a fanny pack or something like that.
