- Mr Shivaraman from Yangoon, Myanmar is well-known for his passionate social work to the needy and poor. He follows Vallar's path in conducting his personal and public life. This video forms Part 1 of the edited version of the interview for Aum Muruga Society, Sydney, Australia in September 2011.
The next World Tamil Language Conference must be held in Myanmar! This will enable the Tamil diaspora to focus on the needs of Myanmar Tamilians.

Tamilians are interlectual people, may tamilians of the whole world unite together. That's his point of view. The problem with them is the caste systerm that divided them.

Yes its provoking but exciting . Yes he has got the right to say whatever he believes as very few are doing what he has achieved. He is following karma yoga and can see and feel his achievement. I feel whatever spiritual path we take is to make us a better person. He has attained that with selfless service towards the needy. (Gunarajah)
Shivaraman is a courageous person. He must have had lot of opposition. Watching this reminds me of Swami Vivekananda, who concentrated on spiritual teaching in the west and social upliftment in India. (Elango, Sydney)
You seem to come across such interesting individuals. So it's an interesting question that people donate to the temple but reluctant towards charity. I wonder if the temples can use donations to do some charity work? Any thoughts? (Narmatha, Sydney)
