Gentleness is something that's come up a lot this year for me. Particularly this winter. Learning ways to navigate staying productive whilst also taking time to adequately take care of myself has been a big learning curve. Here's some of my favourite tips and ways to be more gentle to my spirit, even when my mental health is downhill or I'm working super hard.

I don't usually comment on videos, but I just wanted to say how perfect timing this was. I have literally been crying and having emotional breakdowns everyday this week because I have been so angry and frustrated with myself because of some academic struggles I have been going through. I have repeatedly been telling myself that I am ruining my life and that I don't deserve my dreams and I am worthless and a screw-up. My mental health has been deplorable, but this video really is a sign that I need to be more gentle and kind to myself during this time, even though it is so hard to be that right now. thank you so much
Same here 😭 your situation described in your comment is so similar to mine... I've had the worst week and picked up cutting myself again which I haven't done is years... but we are all trying to get through this. Good luck x

I painted my room today! I've been saying that I want to paint it about one and a half years now. I DID IT
Ok. So today i haven’t been capable of leaving house and going to uni because i was feeling like trash and i hated myself. Went to my youtube. Saw this in my recommandations. Stared at the title. Laughed inside. Clicked. It was exactly what i needed to hear. Thanks to the universe for guiding me through this. And thanks to you, your words saved me.

The best part of my day was when I was at my homeschool group in choir class. There was less people than usual today and towards the end we played a song guessing game. I had quite fun 1. being my crush was next to me and 2. Is that I guesses one of my favorite artists ☺️(I’ve been having a hard time this week, I had the courage to talk to my parents about an issue I’ve been having so that’s a big step in my progress)

recently i have been struggling with my physical health and it has been affecting my mental state, so i wanted to give you lovely people some advice i have picked up. as my acupuncturist put it, i need to be able to rest without collapsing. for example, meditation and walking are a form of resting, but collapsing is coming home and laying in bed for hours because you feel you can’t do anything else. i wanted to give all of you beautiful people a reminder to give yourself time to rest, and if you, like me, are not be at that point yet, hopefully we can learn to be kind enough with ourselves to get there soon. thank you freya for always reminding me to do the things that are good for me and that i enjoy, you absolutely radiate sunshine ☀️

I’m not usually a comment kind of person but I just feel like letting it out. These last weeks have been really stressful because of college work. I’ve just been feeling super anxious and stressful, this week in particular has been really hard to go through. I’ve had various emotional breakdowns and I’m just feeling frustrated, angry and irritated, like I can’t do anything, I can’t think and I can’t concentrate... Right now it is 7am and I have been laying in my bed unsuccessfully trying to sleep for a couple of hours, your name popped on my mind and I decided I would watch a video of yours to see if I could feel at least a little motivated. So I just wanted to say thank you for this, I was needing some kind of wise, friendly and kind words and yours helped me feeling motivated to finish that freaking essay, cook a great and colorful meal for myself and to just breath!
