Thanks, @ghost tree woodworks. I Think of the full-size templates being similar to using a storyboard or story stick for the layout of kitchen cabinets.
Thanks Patrick ,yes the step downs add more depth and dimension to the wine rack. Krenov used to talk about some of these small details that make a big difference. Thanks for mentioning that.
I hate to be that guy but a honeycomb pattern has six sides....not four. It kinda drove me crazy every time DM said "honeycomb". Nevertheless, I love watching this guy.....and I wish the videos were a little longer.
Hey Rick, haha, you’re correct about the honeycomb having six sides. I can’t remember, but I think it was the assistant producer that wanted to call it a honeycomb pattern. Oh well, at least it holds a lot of wine ha ha!
I haven’t made this and probably never will but I have used mahogany and walnut together because of this project!
Great to hear that Brian!
Very nice. Love the full size template for layout and for running the biscuit slots

I like the various step down. offsets on the trim. That's something I never would have thought of!

Nice build! Perfect for „4-sided bees“! 😉
@woodjoee. hahahaha, good one! Yeah, it wasn't really a honeycomb but I think the Producers liked the way it sounded.
He hasn’t aged in 30 years
Hahahaha, got my painting of Dorian Grey locked up in the safe, haha.
It looks beautiful, but just thinking about the glue-up gives me a headache.
@CCoburn , thanks and I have to laugh because it was a lot of work to do the glue ups.
