Your newer format for these videos is a big improvement. I liked seeing your old studio and all the mics, but being close to the camera, and having the couch/lights behind you looks great.
Yeah it’s good enough for sure. I like the idea of dropping 10 or 15 bucks more for a solid metal mic, but I would make some videos with this if I had to! Thanks for watching another one!
Who needs a SM7 when you got that!? You should just randomly record parts of videos with it and see if anyone notices the edits with the hot pink plastic mic.
This mic definitely looks like something you can easily recommend to someone who doesn't have one. Although that fifine headset will probably be king for those who also don't have headphones. They really ought to make an analog version of those.
That sounds amazing..... for a kids toy. As for a recording mic, it's not bad for a backup of a backup of a backup in a travel situation that you need a mic last minute.
I was about to pull the trigger on the "Singing Machine Karaoke Microphone SMM205P" and what happens??? ... 💥BAM 💥 BARK happens... in he swoops with the review... that is one possibility of how this story could have gone anyway. LOL. Seriously... I have heard a whole lot worse for a lot more $$$. I would even venture to say that it sounded decent n the video. It is leaps and bounds better than the Dollar General Mic that you reviewed at a substantial price difference and on that basis it represents a real bargain... and maybe in that case point a higher score on the BBSAR. Did I REALLY just say that?????.. WOW... LOL That being said I would rather save up a little more $ and go for the Behringer XM8500 or save a little more the Fifine K669D (for the current bargain price ultimate win.) Like you said in the headphones is seems to be a different animal and I trust your opinion and your rating. Looking forward to what is next.
Glad I'm not the only one saying "skissors" 🤣 Also - buy some of those full frequency range mini speakers and wire that in, it will vastly improve the sound and is a fun project. Only another 2 quid spent.
Not bad at all! i bought a mic in Five Below for FIVE TIMES the price and it sounded like crap. I would really recommend this for a beginner/newbie because it sounds great! Im new to the mic world but still i think this mic for 2 bucks its really good! I give it a 6.5 out of 10
If it were a heavier plastic I may have went higher. I just can’t help but think saving the 3 bucks and grabbing a used metal dynamic on eBay for 10-15 is the way to go. But it did SOUND passable for sure. I also have a 5 below mic I haven’t done yet!
"The twenty . . . centimeter . . . pythons...." HA! OK, it's not high fidelity. But, it does work, and for $2 that's all you can expect. I expect the weird sound in your phones was due to the mic being reverse-phased.
Can't even get the plastic packaging for $2.23. No Skizzers. Pretty good Hogan impression. Guess they couldn't afford to put the cement inside the body. Plosives were like a SDC. An unbalanced plastic mic, sounds like it needs some phantom power... lol.
Are you kidding?? For under 3 bucks? Heck of a deal. I was expecting a lot worse. Not that I plan to run out and buy one, but it is amazing what they produced for the money.
@@ObscureMics hey, if you are a young kid with no money and want to dabble in the singer songwriter realm, I could see a market. But at ten bucks, I think they're pushing their luck.

Highly appreciate that. I like it the most of my setups so far for sure
I agree that his setup/studio is looking pretty slick these days. Bark's straight forward candor has always been a winner in my book.
I mean... it works! Can't expect more than that for the price!
Why am I more excited to watch this review than a $400 mic review!!!! 😎🤣😂 love all you bring brah!!!
Nothing more fun than cheap mics!
“Fantastically bad” 😂😂😂😂 from here on out… setting the coffee down until the end to save my monitor from a coffee shower! 😂
Good thinking. Coffee also dries pretty sticky…blech
It sounded passable in the video tbh. Great video!

lol sadly if they are watching on their phone….they won’t notice at all lol

I would definitely rather have the headset

Which kinda means $3 wasted
@ObscureMics I just uploaded a temu mic review, I'd like your opinion on.
@BacktotheRetroReview yessssssss
@BacktotheRetroReview hey 1k subs!!!!!
@@ObscureMics yesss took forever... thank you
Plosive Machine. Then again, you could buy twenty instead of that $50 mystery box.
LOL and I would rather buy 20 of these….every time

@@ObscureMics not sure if you can still get them, but people like Roswell used to sell kits for making mics.

It’s a little known fact that making wrestling references boosts you significantly in the algorithm. Mic was bad, but I expected worse.
It needs to boost me soon. This videos pulling ATROCIOUS numbers lol

lol I should have applied some. But then I’d have a disappointed kid
hello there. do you have a link for the 😊mount that was on your SM58
You’ll need to look on the used market for the sterling sm5
Sold out and I believe discontinued as of the past week or so
@@ObscureMics Glad I bought Two of them for $4.97 each Back in late December 😁
The adapter is almost worth the price. 😃
Truth lol

It was so much worse in the headphones
And yeah…a great deal. But who will legitimately use it
It’s $10 now. I love when the bottom falls out on certain mics

No need for skizzers with all these steroids. Btw did you say you are 47? Because you definitely look younger!
I think I said 40s…hell I may have said 47 lol
I’m 43 as of last month
It’s useable … but yeah, meh! Spend a little more and get something you’re happy with! Definitely a good video piece though!!
That was the goal. Always hopeful it’s something that will surprise…and maybe this did a LITTLE
I was expecting you to sing or at least drop a diss track 😒
I missed that opportunity and the hulkster took over
@@ObscureMics 🤣🤣
I've heard worse lol worth the price in my opinion
Definitely do not disagree. Just think 10 or 15 bucks gets you so much better
