Yeah he's doing the whole "I ain't getting off the bench brahh" thing Melo and Russ did when people realized they were declining role players. I like the guy but he better start hooping or get humble if he wants to play top minutes in the Warriors (or wherever else).

If he ever get a max (which is doubtable) after this slouchy performances I won't doubt the youngsters will lose trust in the organization and demand trade. Wiggins had been a big problem but he wasn’t the issue last night. Klay scored 2 points in the second half and Kerr pulled Moody when he scored 11 points in the 4th without missing.
When he pulled Moody, I almost started crying! Even Moody was like…. Uhhhhh… you know I made those right?? The bench has been out performing the starters!
Also, Klay has been an emotional b*tch since he came back from his injury. Giving up on D, not putting up second effort, getting hit in the back with passes cuz he’s not paying attention… I could keep going…
Mike, love your content but this one was straight wrong. Wiggins is DEFINETELY not the biggest issue, it's more so Kerr and Klay, Wiggins might not be shooting the ball well, but you can still see him giving his all in the boards and defense. He still puts in tremendous effort despite the shooting percentages.
Wiggins has looked great recently, much of his slower start was due to broken ribs and being unable to play or do basketball during the offseason.
Honestly it's more on Kerr for not playing the young guys. Taking out Moody when he was that hot is just crazy.
Wiggs had a rib injury in the lakers series which he had to heal for in the summer, thats the reason he wasnt in shape during the training camp

2) Kerr's questionable rotation

Way off bro. You just gonna ignore the fact Wiggs missed most of last year due to the still undisclosed family issue and the fact he suffered a broken rib that hindered his offseason? I am not excusing his poor play, but this narrative around his work ethic at least since becoming a Warrior is pretty out of pocket. Klay's bad decision making and bad attitude along with Kerr's blind loyalty to him is the problem.
Just watch last night's loss to the Kings, Kerr says he took out Moody who had a hot hand because he wanted Wiggs in for defense.... but he should have substituted Klay to keep Moody's scoring and add Wiggs defense instead of keeping Klay's bricking and lack of effort on defense on the court.

I have watched every gsw game this season and the key takeaways from eye-test is -
Cp3 is still in adjustment period. Like Klay and Wiggs seem to do better when cp3 is off court.
Klay seems to have something extra to proof as shot selection is questionable at best (even though when he hits good rhythm he looks just like last time when they got a ring).
Wiggs, feels similar to Klay as poor scoring games start with him getting bad % by forcing shots and then looking scared to shoot.
With all these struggles it seems simple for any opponents to just double team Curry.
I wonder why is Podziemski and Moody not getting more play time. They have been absolute units for the minor share of minutes they have been given. Really think Kerr should have more confidence in his new players and use this early season time for them to get ready to pop off in play offs. Like sure - old squad might get back to decent numbers, but they are not winning on their own anymore. They need help from the kids. Like last Kings game they all just looked gassed at the last 5 min of 4th. Literally seemed like they ran out of juice
Disagree. The point where things changed for the Warriors was Draymond punching Jordan Poole. That destroyed the team chemistry. Klay is a shell of his former self but he hasn’t come around and realized it yet. Draymond is a liability on offense and not the defender he once was all while being a huge distraction for his team. He’s also slow and small and not able to d up bigger players which was one of his two positives. Wiggins is a follower without a leader right now that’s why his play is bad. CP3 just needs to retire. Facts, it’s not that they made the wrong picks. It’s because they’re on rebuilding teams not a team that’s still competing for chips. I guarantee that if moody or kuminga were on different teams they would be playing at an all star.

GSW style of play is not effective anymore unless these 3pts dropping. Too many passes even under the rim causing turnovers. draymond; if you take away his defense he a lowkey ben simons when it comes to attacking the basket. Main issue is the size as they need a center.
Lack of supporting cast. During their peak they always had that X Factor guy Iggy, Shaun Livingston, David West, Mo Speights, Otto Porter Jr, even Jordan Poole was huge. This current team is depending soley on a retirement home CP3 as an X factor.

People overlook the small forward spot on the warriors teams. When Harrison Barnes sucked in 2016 they lost, then they filled it with kd they won. When they had Wiggins hoopin they won. When he sucked last year they lost.

Curry needs a legit contending team...not a team of G-leagues & washed Old players. A defensive minded coach with great player swaps & rotations. A true defender like Wiggins but with more consistent offense like Tobias Harris...A true 7ft Center that can protect the rim like Zubac or Adams...a consistent mid-range shooter like Brunson or Bridges...and an efficient Shooting Guard that can also defend like Struss or Smart. If there is a younger player who plays like CP3 which is more cheaper in salary...then its also time for CP3 to retire.

Of course Wiggins is having a terrible year, Klay can't seem to put two halves together, Curry went cold in the 4th quarter especially of the last game, why was Corey Joseph out there for 16 minutes in the last loss. One more two pointer in every game would have given us at least 3 more wins. There is enough blame to go around to everyone. I don't think Wiggins can play that bad much longer. If I'm wrong we probably won't make it out of the first round of playoffs. Maybe Kerr needs a coach to coach him up to standard. Cuz he's certainly made some dumb decisions that contributed to our losses. Like I said there is enough blame to go around. We really haven't been blown out that I can recall. There is still time to get in the race but we have some tough games through December yet. If we don't start getting improvement from everyone and playing for a full 48 minutes then it probably won't work. We have enough talent if coached properly and if the young players get a chance to prove themselves we should be a much improved team and playoff ready by APRIL.

1. Egos (not gonna mention someone but if you’re a warriors fan you know who they are)
2. BAD AS IN BAD COACHING DECISIONS
3. No proper development of young players
4. Doesn’t hold anyone accountable if they done something detrimental to the team. And the list goes on…
As a warriors fan its hard to see their downfall but if they want to exit the scene in a good way they should start brainstorming ideas before they become a lottery team by January
Ok, I'll just start this by saying I'm hurt as a warriors fan. Yesterday's loss to the kings was batshit crazy, we had a 20+ pt lead, and everyone knew we were gonna lose and we lost.
That said, your analysis is good, but not spot on. The issue is Kerr. KERR. KERR KERR!!!
Is Wiggins shooting poorly? Yes. But the coach isn't helping either. There are no set plays for Wiggins. He is asked to improvise. Why would you hand someone who isn't confident the reins? Draw up some set plays. Let him take and make 2 layups before a jump shot attempt. Go to the hole, get a foul called (his FTs are abysmal as well, but at least he'd be getting people in foul trouble).
The same issue goes for the youngsters. They don't get set plays. And they constantly have to look over their shoulder when they make a mistake. They are playing nervous all the time. Not a good way to foster good behavior.
In the 4th quarter of the kings game, Moody knocked down 3 straight 3s. What did Kerr do? Bench him for Wiggins and Klay!!
Like he was the only one hitting shots!! Yet the youngsters are under performing.
Kerr needs to change his thinking. Everyone isn't Steph. All plays are for Steph and Klay. But only Steph can shoot consistently enough within those sets.
The biggest problem is they can’t defend or rebound bc they are either too small, too slow, or BOTH.

It's really simple: KT and WIggs must go, and they must go before the All Star break so as to get max trade value from them. If the Dubs wait until after the AS break and these guys have shown no ability to turn things around and the Dubs are still around .500, their trade value will be much reduced. And if the Dubs wait until the end of the season to ship them, they'll get nothing but salary cap benefit. Besides, the future stars sitting on the bench could produce as much or more if given serious minutes than those two have produced so far this season and are unlikely to produce from here on out. If basketball is truly a business and if winning is truly everything, the trade ship is sailing and KT and Wiggs had better be on it.

Andrew Wiggins didn't just match Tatum's production, he literally outplayed him every game.
This isn’t nuanced at all. There’s so many big issues.
Klay carries too much chip on his shoulder bc he’s waaay too prideful when he isn’t able to back it up. He can easily get 15-17 on efficienct shooting but wants to be a 20+ game scorer and undoubted 2nd option. This stunts the growth of Moody and Kuminga as well as Wiggins bc how can they play freely and take shots when Klay commands so much respect.
Then more with Wiggs is that the team is clearly mad at him for his conditioning in training camp and now it’s being overdone. Yeah he’s shooting bad but he’s still trying and they’re only playing him 27 minutes which is 5 less than they did last year and the least playing time in his career. That is so mentally demoralizing when ur 28 expected to be in ur prime while the media tries to blame u for not being a 2nd scoring option when Klay won’t give up that. It’s prob making him feel like he’s on a leash and his mistakes will hurt him rather than playing comfortably.
And then Green is actually playing great this year but people keep saying he’s falling off simply bc he gets mad that the team is doing bad and gets tossed out always trying to play too much with an edge against the refs specifically when not needed.
Imo unless Kerr has a sit down talk with Klay and gives more opportunity to Wiggs and either Moody or Kuminga to become a 15+ ppg scorer the warriors are cooked.
The picks are not a real reason. Had Melo or Wagner gone to GSW they would either also become ridiculed or max become solid role players bc the warriors already have a big 3 and Klay refuses to give it up. Wiseman averaged 10 and 10 his rookie year but once Steph Klay Dray Poole and Wiggins were all there someone had to take the fall and it was him. Usually if it doesn’t work out with the team ur drafted by in the lottery, people lose lots of respect and get less playing time to learn and grow which is what happened.
Lol the Warriors problem has been obvious for years but they've been able to cover it up with talent. They play like rookies when it comes to taking care of the ball, especially late (and early) in the game. People think maturity is being comfortable in any circumstance - but when you're comfortable in moments where you SHOULD be concerned, you're no different from teams like the Rockets. The only difference is that they're at least aware that they arent good and they do it cause they're trying to be flashy. The Warriors play like this because of an arrogance they gained from winning a lot. At this stage it can't be fixed - unless they just replace everyone with the bench players. It won't work lol. If your vets are showing the same rookie mistakes, that creates bad influence - and when the younger guys catch way more heat for the mistakes, it creates a disconnect between them and the coach. Needless to say the "dynasty" is over. We're just waiting to see who leaves first

Klay Thompson is the Warriors biggest problem. Second is Kerr’s lack of trust in the young guys. Moses Moody has been playing great in the minuets he gets then when Klay comes in for him the Warriors don’t look good. Klay is probably one of the worst defenders on the team now.
What Mike isn’t bringing up is the fact that Wiggins is the one playing defense on the opposing team’s best perimeter player. Sure Wiggins is having a slow start to the season, but we have at least seen flashes that he will be able to play at the All Star level he displayed in 2022. Klay hasn’t shown shit.
Klay’s ego is too big right now and Golden State should without a doubt bench him in favor for Moses Moody. Moody has been flat out better in every aspect of the game right now than Klay Thompson (even shooting).
This will be another Tony Parker scenario. Parker’s ego with San Antonio was too big to come off the bench. San Antonio had Dejounte Murray waiting in the wings. They let Parker walk in free agency, and that was a very good decision.
If Golden State wants to be in contention, either Klay needs to come off the bench, or be traded.

Wiggins is off to a slow start because he arrived not in basketball shape and because of that, he’s inconsistent, but he also isn’t getting many opportunities. Last season, he took 14.3 shot attempts per game. In the two games where he has reached that number, he averaged 30 points, 5 rebounds with a FG percentage 62%. Still only 17 games in, so I think we’ll see the Wiggins we’re use to seeing sooner than later.
Klay has gotten in his mind that he needs to put the ball on the floor and create his own shots. Something he did too much of last season as well and he has struggled. He’s a below average ball handler for a guard with below average athleticism and speed. Not a great combination if you want to create shots for yourself. He’s what’s holding this team back, because she takes away the flow for the game. He tries to lead breaks, but he’s so slow and doesn’t have great handles, that defenses are back on defense.

@@WTC-1990 not sure you can call a guy a bust when he was one of the key parts of them winning a championship. If it wasn’t for his defense against Doncic, they wouldn’t have gotten by Dallas and his defense on Tatum was why they won that championship.

@@WTC-1990 I’d admit that he’s never lived up to his #1 pick status, but I’d hardly call him a bust. You look at that 2014 draft and not many players taken in the first round are even in the league anymore. The only names worthy of mentioning are Embiid and Aaron Gordon. Wiggins is averaging 19 points a game for his entire career. Not great but also not bad.

ANNNNND the STOOPID Warriors passed on Mac McClung before they ever even gave him a second of playing time!!!! He would definitely have replaced Steph Curry after Curry retired. His basketball IQ is off the charts and his athleticism and work ethic are off the charts!
