    That A1 Raider is my all time favorite piston warbird. May not be as sexy as a Mustang, but just look at all the munitions that baby can carry. Excellent close support Aircraft; old school “Warthog.”

      Love it when the gun ports make the whisiling sound

    Best thing about these is, you've got the pure undiluted sound, and while there is a PA system (you can hear it in the background at 2:37), it's well in the background so you can ignore it.

    Love the sound of the Skyraider's radials. We had them at our base in Vietnam flown by the Vietnamese. Was really cool to see them taking off at night with the flaming exhaust. Good to see at least one still flying. Must be real expensive to feed that gas hog.

      I agree man. They're gorgeous airplanes but I also appreciate all the old warbirds of that time era. The people saying that the Axis powers had more superior aircraft than the Mustang are just delusional neo-Nazis that don't realize that WWII was won by the Allies and that their are more of original Allied warbirds flying today than there are of Axis warbirds.

      it was a sluggish tub of an aircraft. the allies outproduced Germany to have superiority in the air. The ME 262 was a better plane except the Germans could not make enough. It did make obsolete all propeller driver planes.

      I don't know what you're on about. The planes were always always in frame and the camera's stabilization worked great, not a vibration to be seen. I hope in the 2 years since this comment you've changed you mind and laid off the ellipsis.

    T-28's the flying wet farts! They did take off in pairs though, gotta give them kudos for that. Mustangs can't take off in pairs? Oh that's right, scary torque issues on take off. I take it "Dottie Mae" wasn't at the show? Do you happen to know who won best restored "Warbird"?

    • @Cheese797
      @Cheese797 6 років тому +1

      bob dyer I probably laughed way too hard at “flying wet farts!”

    • @christopherbabb1409
      @christopherbabb1409 5 років тому

      bob dyer keep in mind that those “flying wet farts” will outclimb and out turn the Mustang. As for torque, they have just as much torque and p-factor as a mustang as well.
