Hey all - I’ve used the Drunk Elephant D Bronzi a LOT and I always mix it with something else. I know that it’s not meant to be used alone, but I was trying to follow what Candice did in her routine. ❤️💕
HELP! The minute you mentioned your freckles I HAD to post this. Please could you do a video on how to colour match and apply foundation to freckled skin. I ain’t talking about the cute little tiny dots on the cheeks that models have in magazines, I mean freckles of various colours & sizes over the cheeks, nose forehead and jaw etc but still with natural skin showing through in areas the way that us run of the mill people have. I hope that makes sense?!? I can’t win, if I colour match foundation to one of the (many!) freckle shades I look like I’ve been had an accident in the hardware store’s garden fence stain isle and if I match my “natural” background skin colour it looks like I haven’t washed in weeks because the high points of my face (that have the most freckles) looks like dirty skin when it’s got foundation on top of freckles and the rest of my face looks like I’ve died because it’s 15 shades lighter than the freckles! 🤦🏻♀️ Help!! Thanks Xxx
Kathy Jones Parry i think the solution to that is using very light coverage bb cream/tinted moisturizers, or extreme full coverage foundation, OR no coverage products at all to avoid the problem, OR use a ridiculous amount of SPF constantly and indefinitely to reduce your freckles
S. E. Sullivan thank you so much for your reply. I use a 50 spf everyday all year round but the little terrors still manage to appear, but I’ll def try your tips thank you xx
*omg please make this a series!!* I really loved your Zendaya makeup tips video, too!! Thank you for this night upload! Edit: Hello everybody! :O thank you for agreeing with me! Come say hi, I have a baby channel. Also giving away some new makeup I never will use and decluttered :)
This is the way I had done my makeup for 20 years before YT. (using blush as a crease color) Watching you do it makes me wish we would all go back to a more simple and timeless way of doing makeup. Thanks Jess. 💖XO
The cool thing about these videos of celebrities giving makeup tips is that they have their makeup done by professional makeup artists all the time, so they’re learning from them, and then using it in their every day lives!
omg I'm so surprised that these tips I've been doing for a long time! 1. i use mauve shadow ALL THE TIME as like one shadow look 2. I don't like black liner, so i ALWAYS use brown liner 3. i like to put whatever blush or bronzer or highlight on my lids
And this is how make-up is used to take years 'off' of your face. Very well done Jessica.🌼🐝... I see so many young women ( 20's ) on UA-cam apply so much stuff to their face, to me they look at least 15 to 20 years older than they actually are by the time they're done. 🙌 high five for you pretty!
I like that you’re doing these with products you already have instead of going out and buying the exact products used. It shows people can be inspired by a look without copying it exactly and spending a bunch of money.
Holy crap that essence palette is freaking gorgeous. That’s the prettiest color story I’ve seen in a long freaking time. Those greens are so dreamy omg.
This is my every day makeup I’ve been doing for YEARS. I always get compliments on my skin and having a “glow within” which is exactly my goal with makeup. I don’t necessarily want people to notice my makeup. I want it to give a naturally beautiful look.
Learning new and different makeup techniques and applications have been some of my favorite videos to watch. So happy you are taking this different route with your videos. I hope more people will do this type of videos because we are overloaded with makeup review videos and trying to get us to buy more makeup instead of showing us what and how to use all the makeup many of us already have.
I really Love your Channel and these super model tips. Thanks for always listing the links for the products below and in order. This list really helps you find the products later.
I’m a sucker for a tips video! Loved this. I’d love another one like this or maybe ask your followers for their cool tips and read them during a video and try and incorporate them. I always learn and add in the ones I love.
Love the look on you...... I want a ALL PLUM collection. Eyeshadow, eyeliner, lips, lip balm, 👄 and cheeks. Plum/Mauve are my all time favorite shades for everything makeup.
Killin me with the notes, such a teacher!!!! Lol, I only know because I’m a teacher and I’m a fantastic note taker..... Oh, and the Mac pencil liner in Teddy is a great brown one for using a liner brush with. It lasts forever too.
I am SO glad you showed this look in daylight... it is so pretty. I have almost totally stopped using foundation, as I am using concealer under my eyes and around my nose. I love the more natural look, a trend that does away with full coverage foundations!
You used the oily version of everything, Girl! Candace used an industrial strength concealer that really needs the oil to be able to spread or blend nicely. I love that Heritage Rose Water she uses and it just hydrates, no oil in it.
I am definitely going to try the face oil added to stick foundation. I think that is a great idea and looks great on you. Thanks you for the great video.
Deb Fore I returned the Hourglass stick foundation because it was too dry. I would have loved to try this with it. I don’t know why I didn’t think of it because when I wore more full coverage foundations I always put a drop of oil in it. Guess I didn’t put two and two together!
I love the fact that you still kept that dewy look throughout the entire look. I'm like you when it comes to loving a dewy look rather than a matte one. Great steps to follow and it turned out beautifully!
Feels like you are starting a series of celebrity tips and even if Vogue videos pop up on my recomendations I dont watch them but Im so stupidly excited of you trying them to us, thanks Jessica
Jessica you are so freaking beautiful! 😩😩 you don’t even need makeup! Plus, your personality is amazing. I have watched you for so long, through so much, especially when my dad passed away, you always make me laugh and smile. Your content is relaxing such a beautiful escape and not to mention super knowledgeable and helpful. Thank you ❤️ for this video and all of them :)
@Myriam Miryam Oh, okay thank you. I took French all throughout high school, so I can read french. I'm not very good though at... what do you call it? Writing pronunciations? I guess that's what it is. But yeah, the way Jessica said it, but without the "t."
I have only been lining the outer half of my eye with brown liner for well over a decade now and something I have enjoyed doing, over the past few years, is "lining" the inner half with a light shimmery shadow....in a gold or champaign type of shade or in a light shimmery color (not glittery...haha) during the summer. It's subtle, which is more my speed, but pretty. Love the video! I hope y'all have a great week!!
I adore the fact that you just go for it and try items and different techniques out!! Even if they don’t work it’s fun to watch and usually you end up looking amazing!
Such a fresh clean soft look which is stunning on you. There were some great tips in there. Loved the oil and stick foundation tip which really gives you so much more room in the makeup bag by paring down to something slimmer. The lip tricks were fantastic too.
Love the video! And love the mauve eyeshadow Candice used....I did the research (procrastinated from grading so, multitasking)...it's Mac Haux... :) Do more of these!
This is one of your most stunning looks. Perfect for summer because it looks like you've been out by the pool. I can't get over it and can't wait to try!
It’s so interesting to see how different skin types use makeup. It makes it a little more bearable to be an oily-skinned girl when I watch dry-skin girls highlights the areas of my face I set down with powder because they naturally get shiny throughout the day, like those spots kind of above and between your brows!
I LOVE brown liner! I rarely use a black liner because I think a brown liner looks less harsh, but still defines the eye beautifully. I really liked the tip of mixing a drop of oil with a foundation stick! I’m definitely going to try that. 👍
I live for a good brown liner! Especially paired with black mascara. Makes my lashes pop so much. I really only ever use black eyeliner for special occasions or concerts.
Jes you are SO pretty and I love your personality; watching you is like hanging out with a friend 🤗😍 also I love this series, I’m learning such awesome tips, please keep the series up! 💕✨
Jessica, this is my favorite makeup look you've ever done. You look gorgeous and that lip color looks stunning on you! You are so real and normal and I love watching you!
This makeup look really good on you, its super sunkissed and makes you look like alot of models on instagram, not ig models, but models who are actually models.
I think this is fantastic. I loved you in the natural light. You are beautiful anyway but this makeup really made you look luscious and natural. A deadly combination!
I love the idea of using a natural color shade all over your face. I sometimes do that with blush or bronzer, using on my lids and other parts of my face. Great concept for traveling. Also, I'm getting older, so most days I use brown liners and mascara, just so it doesn't look as harsh, even though mascaras are harder to find in brown. You look really naturally beautiful with this look.
Happy first birthday to Gigi! Our daughter Gloria was born on the same day as Gigi! Here is her first year video: ua-cam.com/video/RbvpBIj5QE4/v-deo.html
Hey Jess, love this kind of video as well as using things we already have that are similar or will offer up the same affect. That being said I just threw the Loreal shake n glow in my basket last night while finishing the last day of orders for Ultas gorgeous hair event and I am super excited to try it as even with all the ridiculous amounts of money I am willing and do spend on my skincare/make up obsession I have yet to convince myself into splurging on the Tatch dewy skin mist. I just can';t do it...yet! This would be a great series on your channel btw, if you choose to continue. Peace and love xo
Hey🙋🏽 I'm new over here and I LOVE THIS CHANNEL!! I'm so so happy I found it😭💕🙌🏽 i was wondering if anyone knew if she had a schedule that she follows ??(I already clicked the bell but it would be nice to know when to expect them 😊😅)
Thank you so much for replying!!!💕💕 I have been binging your videos and they all seem so genuine and they give me so much peace and happiness! Thank you for doing what you do ☺️ I’ll be on the lookout on those days then
First time seeing you, definitely subscribing. I appreciate how real and down to earth you are. And that you use a mix of drug store and high end. I love the vibe, just doing make up, not overly dramatic.
Just want to say I have been LOVING you’re content lately. I’ve been a subscriber for a long time but you’ve been killing it with these videos. Hey you know what they say “ you either Grow it you Go “ and dang you’ve been growing. ❤️❤️❤️❤️😍
This video was really fun to watch! It’s kind of funny how a lot of people use the same makeup rules/steps, then you see a tutorial like this thinking what?!? How is this going to turn out? Then it turns out absolutely beautiful! I would love to wear a look like this! Epitome of enhancing your natural beauty
This is a really pretty look on you! I like the idea of trying other people’s looks and tips - it gets you out of your comfort zone - and you look beautiful!
I havent worn a full face of foundation since you posted the Zendaya video! The concealer on cheeks is 100% enough to cover without looking too made up! Love all your videos
I love these videos you have done! Please do more! I think it's cool to just see people try other methods and tips than they usually would. I don't know if it's just me, but I feel like UA-camrs tend to follow more precise techniques than actual working makeup artists and people like actors and models who typically work with artists. I feel like there's an element of creativity a lot of makeup artists use. I see them mix products and use them in more unconventional ways and I love the idea of incorporating that into a "typical" makeup routine.
Hey all - I’ve used the Drunk Elephant D Bronzi a LOT and I always mix it with something else. I know that it’s not meant to be used alone, but I was trying to follow what Candice did in her routine. ❤️💕
Jessica Braun | JAMbeauty89 omg ! You look amazing 👍🏼👍🏼👍🏼
Jessica Braun | JAMbeauty89 I love your content! Every time I hear your voice you should exactly like Nicole Sullivan. (Comedian) You're so gorgeous!
I use a 50 spf everyday all year round but the little terrors still manage to appear, but I’ll def try your tips thank you xx
jessica, this look on you is EVERYTHING. you look absolutely stunning. its so youthful, summery, and glowy!
Agreed!!
Amen to using the products you already have. Love this style of video.
So glad to see someone get back to makeup techniques and interesting application instead of constant product reviews for companies. Thank you!
*omg please make this a series!!*
I really loved your Zendaya makeup tips video, too!!
Thank you for this night upload!
Edit: Hello everybody! :O thank you for agreeing with me! Come say hi, I have a baby channel. Also giving away some new makeup I never will use and decluttered :)
Sally Choi I second that! I love makeup tips!
Third
Sally Choi Great suggestion! 💜
I feel like charcoal gray liner is underrated. I love it for a softer glam.
This is the way I had done my makeup for 20 years before YT. (using blush as a crease color) Watching you do it makes me wish we would all go back to a more simple and timeless way of doing makeup. Thanks Jess. 💖XO
Wayne Goss showed a video years ago adding oil into your foundation he is amazing
Sandra Plumley agreed!
This is super interesting. I love when people use products in unconventional ways.
Sherry Tiller amen to that! 💕
Her routine reminds me of a 1950s tutorial. Lots of strategic blush (brow bone, contour, etc.) for a youthful flushes look. I like it!
You should do your makeup like another UA-camr! Like go way out of your comfort zone and do your makeup like NikkieTutotirals or RawbeautyKristi!
Your face matches your body perfectly after the d-bronzi. Gorgeous 😍
"It's been raining for... my entire life I feel like" LOL I can totally relate. Lots of rain in my area too.
Love you using what you have on hand. With all the stuff we buy there has to be numerous looks to achieve.
I have plenty of freckles myself.
Thank you for that note about marula oil for dry skin, argon for oily skin!
Yes that was very helpful. I did not know this.
Argon oil works for any type of skin dry or oily
Crystalz Tube if you have extremely dry skin go for jojoba oil!
The way you normally do your makeup is beautiful but I’m also really loving this pre-eyeliner moment with mascara on you. Loving this style video!
Yes, Jessica, this video was super helpful. Its so different than I'm used to. But it looked so natural and pretty on you.
I’ve used a mauve blush for contouring. Works well for cool toned skin. Better than brownish colors.
MAC Prism and Harmony blushes are perfect for this!
The cool thing about these videos of celebrities giving makeup tips is that they have their makeup done by professional makeup artists all the time, so they’re learning from them, and then using it in their every day lives!
omg I'm so surprised that these tips I've been doing for a long time!
1. i use mauve shadow ALL THE TIME as like one shadow look
2. I don't like black liner, so i ALWAYS use brown liner
3. i like to put whatever blush or bronzer or highlight on my lids
Wow, that is BEAUTIFUL in natural light! I need that cream blush.
I feel like black eyeliner looks too harsh on my pale AF skin.....I use a lot of brown and purple-y black and plums.
Samantha Gaudet Fellow super pale girl, I’ve never tried purple-y black! Thank you for the tip
More videos like this please. I think it looks supernatural and super beautiful!
I like that you’re doing these with products you already have instead of going out and buying the exact products used. It shows people can be inspired by a look without copying it exactly and spending a bunch of money.
Rosehip oil and the Hourglass Vanish sticks = magic. It's the only combo that looks better as the day wears on.
Holy crap that essence palette is freaking gorgeous. That’s the prettiest color story I’ve seen in a long freaking time. Those greens are so dreamy omg.
I’m so sad. I’m looking at the Salut Paris palette at CVS and those aren’t greens, they’re beige and brown..😕 It’s still a pretty palette tho.
OMFG this look gives you Brazil kind of style! It‘s stunning and summery and suits you surprisingly ❤️❤️
I just followed this entire tutorial along with you & LOVED the outcome! So natural and beautiful. 💛
This is my every day makeup I’ve been doing for YEARS. I always get compliments on my skin and having a “glow within” which is exactly my goal with makeup. I don’t necessarily want people to notice my makeup. I want it to give a naturally beautiful look.
I have been loving the Flower Blush Bomb as a light wash of color on the lids. It kind of creates a low-impact monochromatic look.
Lining your eyes just half way and out makes your eyes look bigger and further apart. It's a flattering and beautiful tip on you! ❤️
I love finding videos on Vogue. I have found some really great tips and tricks that people have given there. Thanks Jessica
I really Love your Channel and these super model tips. Thanks for always listing the links for the products below and in order. This list really helps you find the products later.
Loved this type of video! Trying celebrities routine and with whatever products you already have ... cause that would be most of us 🙌🏽
Nuha Noocks yes, proof that you can recreate without breaking the bank trying to use the exact same products. 💕
I’ve seen some of these techniques from Wayne Goss. Especially mascara before eye shadow. 😀
Wayne has demonstrated most of these techniques. Love Wayne’s videos
Candice is my favorite Supermodel, she is beautiful and seems like a very sweet person. Your beauty shines with these tips. Beautiful!
Such a beautiful summer look!!! I think I’ll try some of those things!!! 💗
Killin me with the notes, such a teacher!!!! Lol, I only know because I’m a teacher and I’m a fantastic note taker.....
Oh, and the Mac pencil liner in Teddy is a great brown one for using a liner brush with. It lasts forever too.
I was mesmerized by the mauve color that she used when I watched her video. I love your remake of it!
I am SO glad you showed this look in daylight... it is so pretty. I have almost totally stopped using foundation, as I am using concealer under my eyes and around my nose. I love the more natural look, a trend that does away with full coverage foundations!
my favorite youtuber uploading on a saturday!!!! what??? love your videos, thanks girl-enjoy the rest of your weekend!
She is my favorite too. I was so excited when I saw her face in my feed on a Saturday!!!
You used the oily version of everything,
Girl! Candace used an industrial strength concealer that really needs the oil to be able to spread or blend nicely. I love that Heritage Rose Water she uses and it just hydrates, no oil in it.
You should try Kortney Kardashian's Vogue makeup routine
I am definitely going to try the face oil added to stick foundation. I think that is a great idea and looks great on you. Thanks you for the great video.
Deb Fore I returned the Hourglass stick foundation because it was too dry. I would have loved to try this with it. I don’t know why I didn’t think of it because when I wore more full coverage foundations I always put a drop of oil in it. Guess I didn’t put two and two together!
The ad before about breast cancer... has me in tears :( now to Jessica's video for something happier.
I love the fact that you still kept that dewy look throughout the entire look. I'm like you when it comes to loving a dewy look rather than a matte one. Great steps to follow and it turned out beautifully!
I really think this makeup looks so pretty on you some&good tips
yes! make it into a series! Really appreciate that you took notes...
Feels like you are starting a series of celebrity tips and even if Vogue videos pop up on my recomendations I dont watch them but Im so stupidly excited of you trying them to us, thanks Jessica
I love using an angle brush with the UD 24/7 eyeliners in the darkest brown color! It lasts forever and looks so pretty and natural!
Omg lady you looked so beautiful in this video. Especially when you showed it in natural light by the window. Stunning!!!
That mauve eyeshadow is like a
2 in 1 contour and blush, pretty good idea though, thanks Jessica for all the different videos you do!!
Mixing stick foundation with an oil your hand and applying it only then is a life changer for me! Thank U Jessica! ❤️❤️❤️
Now I am in my mid forties - I am all about the brown liner! Looks much softer and more flattering.
Hey Jessica. The palette by essence is pronounced "sa-loo." It's french for hi/hello. So the palette would be Hello Paris in english.
With that foundation base it literally just looks like you’re natural skin but perfectly flawless!
I've recently started using a taupe liquid brow pen as liner and loooove it for every day.
Very pretty look. Very summery and natural. Would love to see more of these celeb looks!
You should definitely use these tips more often this look suits you really well!
I think this is fantastic. I loved you in the natural light. You are beautiful anyway but this makeup really made you look luscious and natural. A deadly combination!
This look was AMAZING! You always look fantastic, but this was the most effortless looking natural look and it suits you so well ❤️❤️
You’ve only done two of these tutorials but I’m obsessed! It’s sooo interesting to see!!! ❤️
Here is her first year video:
ua-cam.com/video/RbvpBIj5QE4/v-deo.html
I love this idea of using celebrity or model makeup tips 🙌 don't really different ideas I never would have thought of and will try!
Mesmerizing. Love the mauve contour.
Jessica..I always love your makeup looks but this one makes you look so sophisticated! I love it!
I'm so so happy I found it😭💕🙌🏽 i was wondering if anyone knew if she had a schedule that she follows ??(I already clicked the bell but it would be nice to know when to expect them 😊😅)
I’ve been trying to do Mon/Wed/Fri but I don’t always follow it exactly
I don’t know why, but this is one of my favorite makeup looks you’ve ever done!!! You look so pretty!
in natural lighting...WOW! Very nice.
WOW! Looks amazing! It looks natural and healthy and so summer. The skin is gorgeous.
This video was really fun to watch! It’s kind of funny how a lot of people use the same makeup rules/steps, then you see a tutorial like this thinking what?!? How is this going to turn out? This is a really pretty look on you! I like the idea of trying other people’s looks and tips - it gets you out of your comfort zone - and you look beautiful!
Love this series! I use Bronzer and blush as eyeshadows as my daily office route. I’m going to look at CYO cream blush!
I havent worn a full face of foundation since you posted the Zendaya video! The concealer on cheeks is 100% enough to cover without looking too made up! Love all your videos
Wow, stunning in natural light! Not shiny but a really healthy glow
Candice is one of my favorite models and you did a great job recreating the makeup look. It looks stunning on you!
Adding oil to a stick foundation is genius!! Thanks for that tip!!
I love these videos you have done! Please do more! I think it's cool to just see people try other methods and tips than they usually would.
