I just started playing clash Royale but I feel like every time I climb a new arena it feels like you are in a constant disadvantage and I don’t want to spend money on the game
the point is to get better . when you play with lower level cards your forced to use your brain and make good plays allowing you to get better at the game. so when you do eventually get the levels you need you’ll just be better than everyone else. you’ll get mad a lot and see weird decks all the time but you just have to learn from it . been playing for 8 years and am an ultimate champion and have not spent money on the game but when everyone had max legendarys and I had level 8 cards I still had to win those games back when 3k was legendary arena lmao

Used to play in the pro seen, top 1000 miner cycle. Was playing since the start.. wow it was such a magical game. It was so simple, like chess. Anyone could pick it up and make it to the top if you were smart enough. Now... its to much.. it was such a simple game before. The key difference is it DIDNT feel like a damn cash grab. It felt like game.. that you could spend money to get cards leveled faster. PERIOD... everyone was ok with that.. Now its a damn gatcha game xD
For me what ruined the game the most was the removal of the draw. Why? Because sometimes you get matched with people that 100% counter your deck. Sometimes you lose before the game even starts. As a sparky player, literally every new card counters her. Monk, evolution tesla, those damn annoying gob bait decks( seriously, fuck that strategy) and the evolutions ruined the game even more. I want to play this game, but every time I do I rage quit. All I want to do is play classic challenges, but it's not fun when I win like 2 games. Yeah, I know it's a "skill issue" but it still ruins the game for me. Clash of Clans however is doing very well imo.

The part that made me hate the game (still can’t stop playing) was when they took away the good season pass. Now it’s like they don’t even care. All events are the same and they made clan wars v2 even worse when adding tower troops and forgetting about it.

As a person who has multiple accounts even one from 2016 when the game launched, I feel angered by what they are doing with lvl 15. The reason I feel this is that I believe that supercell was targeting content creators and top league players. If you don’t have all lvl cards on Clash, you will be watched less and people want to feel max completion. OJ had to max out his account just for this.

Yes, it will. Unlike Clash of Clans, where farming dead bases is a literal strategy that is birthed from a subset of accounts that quit the game. Clash Royale is 100% dependent on having an existing player base to function properly. You need another person to play the game and have fun, and there is no way around this problem. The essence of any 1v1 game is that you have access to opponents that are at a roughly similar skill level as you are. If you don't have that, you don't have a functioning game anymore. As soon as the numbers get low enough that you can't consistently match up with opponents at your skill level, the game actually dies for anyone that isn't in the top 1%, or arguably even the top 1000 players. With a dead game, progression becomes impossible since you need to win a game to get a chest. So there would be literally no point in playing the game if you can't properly make progress in game. Patching this up with bots wouldn't work. Since ideally you want the player to win more often than the bot does, and fighting games and chess have proven that it is currently still impossible to program a bot that will play with the level of intentional strategic variance that Humans do. So they will never quite match up to any moderately skilled human. There is only one way I can see the game existing long term/past its full on death/decline of its play base. Supercell could do something similar to Pokemon Showdown, where all the tools available in the game are free and readily accessible to everyone. So that even when there is a low player count, you can still play the game with friends if you wanted to. But since Super Cell has monetized almost every aspect of this game, it's likely never going to happen... Lmao.
If they're really desperate they'll populate the arenas with easy-medium difficulty bots so it feels like the player is winning at least some of the time

I think it could be saved, but supercell isn’t going to try to save it. I despise this idea, but the only way to save it would be to reboot it. Think about it, there was a proper big update since evolutions and level 15 last year, also there wasn't a TV royale episode as well. All community managers quietly quit their jobs and were moved to other projects, the only known officlal left is a random turkish girl who was put as a replacement. Tower troops should have never been added. It makes matches up rock paper siccors and it makes you relearn all of the intereactions again whic isent good for new players.
Realistically, they should focus more on balancing the game instead of adding anything new for a long while. Make it less pay-to-win and make shit like the evolutions fit in the game better, it feels like to counteract P2W players theyve just been giving freebees. Instead they should just remove ways to get the evos by paying and give better ways to obtain a few cards, why not put them in the event item roads? Why not put the new evolutions in the crown shop along with the random one? Honestly I think leveling up I'd interesting bit it's way too much now, takes the strategy out of the game when someone can cockslap you with their level 14 deck at arena 11.

I think Supercell is putting all their Eggs in Squad Busters, hence why it is gowing Global unannounced. Gacha games historically never last long without Powercreep, and while Clash royale did an amazing job with Balancing, it sadly does not aling with Profit, hence why they release OP Evos/Card then properly nerf them next update.

Earn new cards from playing the 2v2/event battles, then upgrade them, and then keep moving on up. The progress is very slow for the F2Ps.
