    I’m a 5’1 college student. All I need is a nice backpack to fit my laptop/iPad that doesn’t swallow me up.

    Surprised the Evergoods PLC20 didn’t make the cut for a small office/EDC bag.

      Evergoods is great. I love the PLC20 as you can tell from my past videos. It just didn't make the list because I wanted to keep this list for sub 20l bags and the PLC20 already was in a couple of my videos. The 20l Bellroy Via just made the list because the bag just arrived a few days before finishing the video and it felt not as big as a 20l bag.

    No water bottle holders…just why? A lot of these bags are great otherwise. REI Ruckpack but it doesn’t have any many pockets like these.

    Nice
    Not a fan of roll top style bags myself but I have to admit they work great for weatherproofing and slowing down a thief.
    LOL its funny I moved from backpacks to a messenger bag, Since I walk and ride my bicycle more these days I found it more useful for EDC,
    I found with a backpack with the extra space I would always find something to fill that space and make it heavier than it needs to be
    I try to keep the weight down if I can.
    I still use a backpack for my camera stuff.
    I don't work in an office, I work part time as a Auto Parts delivery driver.
    IF I had to chose one I kind of like that Gravel Daily 11L but at the price point of $189.00 USD I would probably buy something less expensive for a daily use bag, But I did pay that much for my Think Tank Photo camera backpack but its very study and padded to protect my camera and laptop.

    The Aer look good. Nice layout, minimal depth, not a ninja turtle pack. But that annoying logo though.... Don't know what they were thinking there. As far as I know, one of their bags have such visible branding. Annoying.

    I like the bellroy classic backpack. Very very lightweight, much lighter than my Aer Fitpack 3 which is 18L. It feels small. I know they have a 14L version of the classic backpack. I use the northface fuse box small which is under 14 maybe 12L which I use for the gym where I only bring a change of clothes, water bottle, headphones, keys and wallet.

    Wonderful review Bo! Recently added the Peak Design x Logitech G Everyday Backpack Zip (20L) to my collection. It fits my large 16" laptop. The G branding is a let down but I will cover with a velcro loop panel. It has velcro pouches and one holds a mech keyboard. The laptop compartment is adjustable and cradles the laptop and the bag is padded on all sides. I am going to place a water bottle in one side pocket. The roost stand or a tripod in the other. Laptop in its own compartment and then it slings to either side to provide full access. My other fav is the AER CPP x-pac but I do admit it is a bit plain. But really nice.

      “Better” depends on your use case between the two. I have both the 10 and 15 and find myself using the 10 more often because the 15 has more space than I need for EDC

    i'm the same height - the biggest struggle for finding the right backpack is fitting my torso properly. Smaller backpacks don't always mean shorter (ex. goruck bullet 15L) and still dig into my hip which is unfortunate.

    • @Youknowthebo
      @Youknowthebo  Рік тому +1

      OK, that makes a lot of sense. Do you think one of these smaller bags is short enough for your height?

    • @m1ekster
      @m1ekster Рік тому

      @@Youknowthebo haven't tried any one those yet but they look promising. any bag that's equal or less than 17" from bottom to top of the strap seems to be the sweet spot. just unfortunate cause brands like evergoods and goruck are all too long

    I love the slim profile of the Go Ruck bullet, since the biggest thing I carry is my 10" tablet. I wish more companies made small organized backpacks for people who don't carry laptops, though I understand they may feel they're limiting their customer base. I'm also surprised with it's rugged build that it doesn't have water bottle pockets on the sides.

    I'm 185 cm so these bags are out of question. Right now I use Alpaka Elements backpack, but searching for something more... spacious. Elements is a good backpack if you don't need to carry many things as it's quite slim, so it's either pro or con for you) For myself I found out that more often than not I need to carry a bit more than I can comfortably fit in Elements. So now I'm looking at Bellroy Transit Backpack, a 28 liters one, or something similar.

    Curious why the Bellroy Via instead of Workpack if you're going up to the 20L range. 🤔

    • @Youknowthebo
      @Youknowthebo  Рік тому

      Good question. Because the via (despite the same capacity of 20l) feels somewhat smaller or more compact than the workpack just from looking at the pictures. And having it in hand it does feel more compact than some of the other 20L bags that I own. So I just wanted to throw it in and get the video up to an even number of six bags instead of just five 😅

    I agree with the bellroy and AER about being boring. I do wish more companies offered bags below 20L. There’s only a handful and most of them are pretty ugly. I’m currently rocking the radius mini by inside line equipment.

    13” laptops aren’t cutting it. 15.6 / 16” mbp should be the size minimum for a work pack.
