this is one of my favorites on youtube, man, I keep coming back when I forget the process (even though I write it down, where's that damn paper?). going on 4 yrs old, and it doesn' t age.
We need more tuts like this! Quick, to the point, and doesn't go digger any deeper than it needs to. No "so select your bézier curve tool located here" business! Sub'd and like'd
@@ActionVFXofficial How do you export your EXR files? I'm using blender and trying to get a usable EXR, but it's not working the way I'd hoped. Complicated question, but if you've got the time/motivation, let me know.
Hi man great tutorial! but I have a trouble, when I import a exr sequence from cinema 4d with octane passes and than I put it into a new comp with the extractor plugin, all my passes dissapear, the plugin only shows R G B channels, do you know why? Thanks!
Excellent tutorial, thanks a lot I would also suggest, there is the Normality plugin (free but accepts donations) that allows the use of normal passes and real ae lights to do full-on relighting (diffuse, specular, reflections, etc) I don’t get why after effects still doesn’t offer a built in feature for that and for UV retexturing
Wow! Really awesome! This is so accurate! I just got a question: what kind of sound fx do you use for the breakdown? Because I really like it ^^ Thanks!
Awesome tutorial. Definitely touching on some stuff that I'm currently looking into for a future project of mine. Only criticism I have to give is that you dont pronounce the 's' in "debris." Its silent.
Apropos of “debris”, you would be doing yourself a favor to learn that not all words ending in “s” are plural and thus avoid committing a faux pas in the future. (Hint: look up the pronunciation of all the words ending in “s” in this comment.)
Wow! Super! BUT...PLEASE...ARE YOU IN A HURRY? YOUR BATTERY IS READY TO EMPTY?! SLOOOOOW DOOOOWN! UA-cam IS FREE! Maybe some viewers need slower pacing! Even I couldn't follow, and I am familiar with EXR etc! Nevertheless, awesome tutorial infos, check how A.Kramer makes tuts and you will ROCK!!
I can't thank you guys enough, I learned so much useful stuff.
That's awesome to hear! We have more great stuff coming!

@@vfxeriksen8694 We're happy to help! Are you using Cycles or Eevee to render? If Cycles, here is how to do it: blender.stackexchange.com/a/28764

hello, how to output ID out in exr?
Hey there man. I rendered a scene in maya as an exr and imported into After effects. But everthing is black, how do i fix this?
Could you send us an image of your Maya render settings to support@actionvfx.com?
@@ActionVFXofficial Its fixed thanks, i think stopping the render when it wasnt finished had an impact on it or something.
@@tagnen007 We're glad you got it figured out!
@@ActionVFXofficial thank you

thanks for the tutorial... but it really irks me the way you say "debris".... the S is silent XD
Wow
skip to 2:25 to bypass all the useless guff.
