    Texas State Aquarium
This is absolutely one of the best aquariums I have ever visited. It is very well done, aesthetic and interactive. Although it’s definitely not cheap, I do think it was worth the price. There is truly a lot to see and take your time with if you want. Bring extra cash to feed the flamingos and stingrays! And we parked at the Lexington lot for $5 and then were surprised to learn the Aquarium gave parking tokens at the entrance, so park here if you’re going to the aquarium. Also, buy your tickets in advance online to skip the long entrance queue.

    Moby Dick’s Restaurant
We love this bar. I don’t think we’ve ever come down to Port A without visiting. Their “zombie hut” tiki bar is awesome and their drinks are fun. We always sit at the bar and order some oysters and shrimp and try a few cool drinks. Their gift shop and restaurant decor is also pretty great. Don’t skip this bar if you’re looking for a good tiki drink, but they close early!

The Art Museum of South Texas
I would not consider this a ‘must see’ attraction of Corpus by any means, but its air conditioned with plenty of water stations, seating areas, wifi, and clean bathrooms, so I would definitely consider it a cool way to beat the heat on a hot summer day. Especially, if you can score a coupon. We found Groupons that were 2 for 1 so make sure you look before paying full price.

    Fishing
If you don’t have an annual license to fish in Texas, you will need to purchase a one-day all water fishing license permit. You can get these at any HEB Grocery, Academy, Walmart and most Stripes Gas Stations by the ocean. It is $11 for Texas residents and $16 for non residents. You can find a location near you at: tpwd.texas.gov/business/licen...
We like to get our live bait from Clem’s Marina. It was $10.50 for a pint of live shrimp or $20 for a quart. You can fish right off their private pier for $3 per person, $1 per rod. If you’re new to fishing they can help set you up with rental rods. They sell everything you need to get started. We got our first live bait bucket and aerator from them many years ago so we keep coming back.
    13304 S Padre Island Dr #5909
Hours: Open Daily 5a-11p and 12p on Saturday’s and Sunday’s.

We actually get that a lot when we say we’re going down for a weekend. “What’s there to do over there?” A lot actually! We can always think of enough to pack a weekend full of fun stuff to do in Corpus.
