Chargebacks can hurt on both the business or the consumer end, but they are the worst for businesses. If you have too many disputes or chargebacks, payment processors or banks can decide to close your account. Purely because it costs money. Processing a dispute/chargebacks cost money regardless of the resolution. There are even companies for chargeback deflections in order to allow high risk businesses to just accept losing the money in most cases.
It always feels good to get rid of things you’re no longer using, makes room for things that you now want. Your tastes change over time and I agree regarding the large logos. Have a great Christmas!🎄
You will NOT regret the Le Pilagé. I bought a base shaper are purse organizer for it. I use it for gym, work bag, overnight stay bag, shopping bag. Highly durable and lifetime guarantee for repairs. Much easier to clean and super convenient for extra bag for a suitcase when traveling.
I bought my first one over 10 years ago and I still use it to this day, she’s battered but it’s still usable. Probably my most used bag ever. It’s been my gym bag, baby changing bag, weekend bag. She’s been around the world 🌍 🤣
Sophie, I sold my LV Neverfull about 3 months ago. It was my very first luxury handbag and I carried it every day for an entire when I got it! 😂 That was years ago. I found I never reached for it anymore as years passed. And I saw everyone carrying it! I tried to carry it one day and it made my outfit feel so dated the entire day! I decided to sell it and got a very nice amount for it! I got about 60% of its cost, which was great!
Totally hear you on the clearing things out you aren't using. Let someone else use it and enjoy it, use the money towards something else you will love. Come January I'm going to start doing a major clear out of our entire house. Some rooms will go quickly, others...not so much LOL! I love that jacket, red plaid looks great on you.
I used to work at a bank and the only thing that would happen to a fraud like that would they would drop their case and have to pay the money. Closed case, bank does not report them to police.
Perfect timing Sophie and I was also thinking of using Luxury Promise. Their intake process is a bit manual but overall a good experience selling with them.
I agree with you about the Dior book tote. I think its just over exposure. Btw Longchamp is great quality, even the full leather bags they have. I feel they're overlooked a lot.
Hey Sophie! Not sure if you mentioned this, but I'm wondering if you're releasing your Christmas videos? Your Christmas videos with David are my comfort videos. If not, no worries! Wishing you a wonderful Christmas and Holiday!
Hi Sophie, I do remember the Crete blog and all the goats running around on the beach! I hope you change your mind on selling that lemon yellow bag, it's just so beautiful. But very eye-catching I'm sure. It's a real notice-me bag! Cheers! xx
The Book Tote started to flag at one point, I noticed, though Dior managed to avoid a collapse by releasing new versions. I bought a similar bag from (I think) The Iconic. It was about AUD$80 or $90 (45 UK pounds), maybe one tenth of the cost of the Dior and I am glad I did because I realised immediately that it was no good for me. No shoulder strap and it is heavy. I have only used it a few times because it is a hassle. Maybe if I drove a car I would use it more. I hope your sale goes well. If you are considering the possibility of moving abroad to a warmer place, would you maybe use the Chanel more often then? Could you maybe keep it for a while and see how you go, if needed, sell it later on? Bank Fraud gets you into goal, as far as I know, but no personal experience! Thank you for the video!
Random question, and you might have answered this in the past... do you use leather cleaner and conditioner on your bags? I always condition mine, but I think some people don't see the point. Curious about your thoughts!
The most “faked bag” is the Chanel classic flap. Yet that is not over, it’s now sells for 10k! In fact most of your bag collection has been faked on DH GATE. So not sure what you are talking about.
Hi there Sophie, I'm listening as I type so sorry in advance if you cover this. Do you have any tips for selling luxury goods? I have a couple of nice bags but they are more ornamental, I'm not using them. Well had a look around on line, oops the resale values of similar Chanel bags is very poor, meaning I would be selling at a huge loss. I don't know what I will do, maybe that's just the way it is, so just wondering if this is the usual situation. I don't want to know financially about any of your sales, just maybe any general opinions. I adore your jacket, have a really lovely evening ❤😊
I totally get you Rachel, some of these bags literally DROP in value. For me, I try and keep hold of them as long as possible - so that when I sell them, they are commanding a higher price than what I paid. I hope this helps xx🩷
@SophieShohetOfficial Thank you so much, yes a really good point. It's a good learning curve as really these are investments to be learnt from too. We are our own business so think it can teach us a bit of business too. Take care x😊

I definitely like my Le Pilage. They are great workhorses and I use them often.
The Neverfull is so much better than the Dior Book Tote. IMO
Yes get the Pliage. So chic.

A very merry Christmas to you my friend!!xx🩷🩷
I like buying the lowkey bags because usually there are less made and generally not faked because it isn’t worth their time to make.

Hi Sophie ! I wish you a happy Christmas break 🎄Please, do not sell you vintage Chanel , it is such a precious handbag .
Not the coco handle 😢
Your blazer 😍

Luxury promise she said
I have the Dior tote in gray and I’ve never used it. It’s been in my closet for almost 2 years. I’m thinking I’ll make it my farmers market bag 🤷♀️
I actually prefer the grey! But I agree, I think the bag has had its day 😣 farmers market is a plan!!xx🩷🩷
Or a beach bag ❣️
I would use it for a travel bag or as a gym bag. That’s what I did with my LV Neverfull.
It's the perfect beach bag, though!
😂😂😂😂😂😂
Hi, Sophie! Where is your blazer from? Sending love from Mexico🇲🇽❤️
lol I do remember the Swiss ski trip
That was a great trip!!xx
