What a wonderful statement. I hope a lot of women hear that and realize what they deserve. If all of us are active or "aggressive" (which would be "courageous" or "determined" if it was a man), the world will start changing its bias. Slowly, but surely!

Amie, I've always loved you as a person and this video exemplifies why I watch your videos. It's not just the love of handbags, but the fact that you are a woman who works and pays for her own purchases. I love that you are so smart about it, and someone I really respect and aspire to. Influencers are fun to follow, but I would never want to live a life like theirs. Channels like yours are so unique in that you get to enjoy all the fun, frivolous things, but it's so much more realistic to me as a working young professional.

With COVID19 she and her husband both works from home. Homes in Maryland 8s very, very expensive. My daughter and her husband recently bought a very large home, over half a million dollars. He need more room too for the children along with their dogs.

I just have to echo what everyone else is saying: I LOVE when you talk business. Random question that I just thought of: would you recommend investing with those platforms on behalf of teenagers in your life? How would you go about doing that if it is a good idea?

Answers to your questions listed:
1. Financed ourselves - would do the same again, as we just didn't want to give away the equity.
2. No. One of our closest friends specialises in crypto and even he says to stay away for the time being. Too uncertain and too unstable atm.

I am an entrepreneur and always have been. Also have only ever started businesses with my hubby. Invested in real estate, started our own company in our 20's and now almost in our 50's. We are a husband and wife team and have 0 regrets as we are now living the life of our dreams. Owning your own business is full of sacrifice, but as you and your business age, it becomes SO worth it. The rewards are cumulative . Loved this video. Cheers from Canada!

We just bought our first house together in February (unfortunatly missed out on the stamp-duty cut, both oh well!) and we got a dog that we have wanted for several years right away! We are currently doing our garden to suit her! Totally understand it!

I understand the whole cold that "seeps into your bones." It starts in late October, and I don't warm up again until April. Jan/Feb is the worst, with several weeks of -30 and -40C temps.
On another note -- yes, definitely see long term with investments. When the crash hit, I lost about $10K in just a few days... but now, several months later, they're all back up to where they were before the crash.
You loose money only if you sell, the market goes up and down!!

I used to live in central London in a 2 bed flat ; we’ve now moved out to the Midlands with a 5bed house and a massive garden ! We are still only 90 mins from london, and it will be even quicker with HS2! I completely understand where you are coming from! I could never go back !

Another tip on investing from my uncle who retired at 55 years old. He always told me to invest 15% of my yearly salary.

Same feeling my husband and I had! We were both born and raised in NYC and we got married and are renting in NYC. We decided to check out the market outside of NYC and now we’re proud homeowners in Long Island (which is about 25 mins from where we currently are and 45 mins from Manhattan). No going back to these NYC prices after we saw what the suburbs have to offer lol

As a senior manager with a 6 figure salary and living in the city if my dreams, Shanghai, ( i am originally from Barcelona), i have many female cowokers coming to me for advice on the negotiation of their conditions so let me give you here my two cents. 1 ALWAYS ALWAYS ALWAYS prepare your numbers in advance. Think of your dream salary figure and the minimum amount for which you would take more responsibility or move to another company and then find an amount in the middle of your dream and your minimum, and have those three figures in mind during your negotiation. 2. NEVER NEVER NEVER accept your first offer. If they want you, you have to be self confident to show your value and negotiate and of course reach for your dream figure. You can negotiate your salary figure or other conditions important to you such as holidays or no overtime during weekends or job title if that matters to you, etc. 3. Dont feel selfish for discussing money or negotiating, think about how much you could help others with a higher salary amount and think that your male coworkers do this every time without feeling guilty. Also, thank you for including Canada. We get left out a lot, especially in businesses who assume they can just offer Canadians the American dollar which is HUGELY different to the Canadian dollar. So thanks, small thing but makes an impact!

Ahh loved this video! Also definitely agree on your "asking for promotion/more money" comment. I always say the same: if you don't ask you don't get it. Have some leverage that you are worth getting more money and perhaps yes, be a little "aggressive" especially as a woman in business

I have been enjoying your videos for many years now ... I do really like your fashion and handbag videos but this one was great. It's really wonderful to watch and listen to your financial responsibilities and decisions, and very refreshing to see a successful working woman on UA-cam. Unfortunately, in the past years most female UA-camrs only work on UA-cam, and it's very difficult to relate to their lifestyles and decisions (nothing wrong with that of course). Anyways, hope you can continue sharing more of this personal/financial videos.

Your new kitchen looks gorgeous! We bought and renovated our house a yr ago, and I designed my own kitchen, which is also all white. I have this whole routine of cleaning and it still looks as good as new, happy to share that routine with you if you want. I was definitely nervous about designing and then using my kitchen as well!

I LOVED this video. I would love if you could do more business and finance type videos. Like how to divide money into different pools and save for a house, investment & luxury/shopping... How to stay organised/productive/motivated like you are as you worked full time, had a side hustle/business on evenings and weekends + UA-cam chanel - pls share your time management tips. Some insight would be greatly appreciated. Also how do you go about goal setting? Do you do it yearly? How do you track where you are up too. Its wonderful to see a successful business women make it when she didnt come from money xxxx
