I’m not a Grier hater but we can all agree this calamity began at the laughs and giggles to questions about the offensive line.
Dude, the oline is part of the problem. You can't blame the oline every time team gets whooped. You do realize that having a small, immobile qb with an average to below average arm and a weak oline is the worst combination you can have?, right Tua isn't absolved of blame. He just doesn't bring anything outside the structure of the play call. Every time we play a defense that doubles Tyreek and floods the zones with defenders , he struggles to consistently make throws. I'm sorry, but if you can't hang in the pocket and make throws with some pressure or buy some time, you aren't gonna be very successful in the NFL.
What do you mean? You’re all more worried about the O line than he is. Grier is a joke. Needs to get fired. We all know why he won’t be fired.
The oline isn't why tua didn't slide
@@BStucThaPoet well the online was not at fault football is
@@c5vette739he is they biggest reason why this team fails speed don’t win games toughness does and Grier can’t seem to figure that out
Barry. You warned us all summer about this team. Congratulations. Nostradamous Barry.
I was in lock and step with Barry on his assessment of this team.
Been a Fins fan forever so I’m used to being let down. They are overrated every year. Plus we have Tyreek’s bad karma on top of us now.
@@BingoLumpkin-u4v Fins schedule gets harder at end of season. There is time to recover. Slap in the face will wake up everybody. Like Tyreek said, "I found out Mr Ross has fired every coach to get a new contract extension got fired the next year." Also includes players. Happy Club gone. Now it is a Scared Club. Losing a job, a paycheck is a great motivator.
Barry was in rare form here. Agree 100% with him
Omar the Tua thing is overshadowing what I feel like is another huge issue for this franchise. They showed up to another game against the division opponent completely unprepared and undermanned. Will you guys call Chris Grier out? Will that get you ousted so you have to throw softballs. If so who is our voice? You saw this coming. Poup saw this coming. The fan base saw this coming. And the GM scoffed and belittled us
I'm a Bills fan: A lot about the departures of the defense are overblown. Bills let Poyer and Hyde go because they were physically limited. Poyer takes a lot of bad angles and because he's lost a step he can't make the play: look at him on the James Cook 49yard TD. He 100% should have been able to make that tackle but failed.
Bills probably have the best CBs in the league. Not a lot is being said about that but Benford is a top 5 CB and Douglass is a top 10 CB. Bills D-Line is also good, especially since Von Miller is returning to form after injury in 2022. Bills Defense problem is LBs
I look at the Dolphins like this: On Defense they need Chubb back (at 100%). When they blitz they are going to get burned but they felt they needed to blitz to create pressure. The Bills O-Line is elite; maybe the best in the league.
On Offense: this is where your problems are. The Dolphins should be a run first team. Achane was destroying the Bills and they would do dumb things like hand offs to the FB? They also need patience. Dolphins could have hit 6-7 yard passes all day but when they look deep it allowed the Bills D-Line to get there.
Very well said. Respect
Tua did not get tackled; he drop his head and ran into the defender. Tua was reckless and careless. Low IQ play by QB1.
Moronic of the Dolphins to think Tua would stay healthy. Pray for new ownership!
…and that he’s any good.
Pray for a new gm
I like Tua alot but he’s too small and he doesn’t have a very strong arm. Also, why do we never involve TEs into the scheme?
A good TE makes a big difference.
Barry’s right about the WRs. The issue with this team is that we are so top heavy. A lot of our top players have huge contracts while the remainder of the team comes from the dollar bin.
This is why the bill traded diggs.. and took the huge cap cut . If you got a franchis qb no one is or should be bigger then him. Not tyreeq not diggs not deventa .. all these guys will undermind their qb . Why u think chiefs traded hill? Mahomes is the star and everyone else fall in line or gtfo
McDaniel needs to seriously consider handing over play calling duties. All this talk he's a offensive genius is out the window. He got schooled by McDermott last night.
Not to mention the time management under pressure has been terrible. Look at that drive before halftime.
He sucks
His clock management is the worst in the league he is a ball boy
Best comment on the subject👍
Great comment his fourth down try in first half through the game instead of pinning them back to there 10 . Joah short field scores touchdown
Barry SLAPS with his first point! Tell them like it is, Barry! That interior OLine is very worrisome and, honestly, led to Tua's concussion.
The OL is worrisome but that's actually not what led to his concussion. It was the RB that missed his block that made Tua step up and run
That was a regular tackle. Tua being Fragile led to his concussion.... That's why they shouldn't have gave him that contract
Tua contributed to his own concussion. He already had the first down. He should have slid instead of lowering his shoulder and trying to use Hamlin as a tackling dummy. He needs to realize he’s not Larry Csonka
Agree with EVERYTHING Barry said
yup barry is preaching
Mike is a terrible game day coach
Anyone saying that was a brutal hit it wasn't it was a regular tackle Tua just doesn't know how to slide or land
If he was going to go ahead and go forward just dive To The Ground.. Its almost like he Wanted the contact or something.. Stupid. Been a Tua fan but that was needless on his part
Damar didn't even hit Tua. He was almost trying to catch him. What would have happened if he did what he was trained to do and hit Tua like he would hit a running back? Tua might have never got up. That might be his next hit. And what kind of grim fandango is this to put Tua behind the worst OL in football? It's like daring their opponents to put him in the hospital. This isn't human
@@mikep2421you sound like a bills fan
@@dominickhawke9379huh ? It's true though, Tua lowered his head and rammed into Damar . Damar did what he could to avoid hitting him but he needed to make the tackle
The worst part about all of this is that Tua's injury was self-inflicted. He had no business lowering his shoulder into defenders and taking ANY sort of punishment. He could easily have a 15 year career if he understood what his strengths are and what his weaknesses are. Now, we're having to already talk about the possibility of focusing on taking a QB in the draft. It's a damn shame. Tua has all the talent in the world to be incredibly successful in this league. I WISH today's conversation was solely about how we can't beat the Bills and the team's offensive and defensive shortcomings. But to revisit the Tua injury question, especially after having played an entire season last year because he didn't put himself in harms way, is depressing.
We are not winning even with Tua this year. Lets not act like we were not getting blown out before Tuas injury. He needs to think about his life and retire. If it was your son would you want him to play???
Omar and Barry “Don’t panic” while simultaneously yelling fire in a theatre 😂 season done see yall next year
Not sure if Skylar can do much worse than how Tua played last night.
Skylar catches the snap like he’s holding a grenade. I’m sure he 💩s himself every time he starts
Been a fan since 94. Been disappointed every year since. But last night was the worst feeling I’ve ever had as a Dolfan. And I watched Marino last game against Jacksonville 😢. Hope Tua ok. But he needs to retire. Hate saying that!
I have been a fan since 1983 and it was the worst I have ever felt about the team
Ive been onboard since '71..seen the highs....but this is the lowest
...Tua...retire
Only our half delusional fans would think we're better than the Bills. I get we have an exciting team that beat up the cupcakes, but this team has proven NOTHING that would make anyone with unbiased eyes believe they would actually beat a team like Buffalo or contend for a championship. Even with some new players on their team, they have one of the best players at the most important position in sports and a very experienced head coach who knows exactly how to defend our overrated offense. The best defenses don't blitz or play man, they rush 4 or 5, they double Tyreek, they take away the deep ball and force Tua to hold the ball an extra second or force him to make an errant throw. It was basically 11 on 10 last night because our qb doesn't offer anything outside of the play design. If Tyreek or Waddle can't get open in 3 seconds or less, the play is dead. That's why we kept running, throwing screens and quick passes out of the backfield. I honestly don't think Tua completed a pass 5 yards beyond the line of scrimmage. We ran the ball pretty well, but with all the penalties and turnovers, it negated anything good we did. We always got into 2nd or 3rd and long, and the Bills were forcing us to drive the length of the field every possession. We just aren't disciplined enough to consistently finish long drives without shooting ourselves in the foot. That's how you beat this offense, and the Bills have a good dline with depth.
Omar defending Chosen give me a break the guy is washed
He’s gotta be getting some kickback from him for talking him up so much.
Omar stop giving excuses this team is worse than last years and its obvious when you look at the depth
Barry specks facts
I’m fully on board with you Omar about the players in the trenches. I believe that last night exposed GM Grier and McDaniels fundamental flaw in team building. We’ve all been excited about the moves the team made in the offseason, but the lack of attention to the trenches, the offensive line especially, has been proven to be a fatal flaw in building a true contender. Enjoy you guys-keep up the good work!
Grier has absolutely no clue, remember how long he kept DIETER, as long as Grier is at the Helm we ain't seeing playoffs
Waddle and Hill did not even get separation last night. The Phins were horrible last night. Barry is right, all of the weaknesses were exposed. The line has Been an issue for years at this point. The 'third' receivers are horrible. The running backs are already hurt and it is only the second game of the year. They will play (if they play) injured for the rest of the year. I am a Tua fan, but this concussion makes me believe he should retire for his own health.
He’s a small guy in a large man’s game. He’s got heart tho.
Barry is coming out hot today! I saw 2 players last week wearing the guardian cap.
A man of the people!
I’m getting a achane jersey guy is just such a gamer
Barry was spot on with his assessment of the team and his prediction. Tua for his and his family’s sake needs to retire. Grier and McDaniel both need to be fired. Rebuilding needs to commence.
McDaniel just ain’t in as far as head coach. You can’t be monotone the whole time and you can treat your team right and be concerned for them, but they aren’t your friends. I wish we still had Dan Campbell.
I’m to the point where I fast forward through Omar’s takes. He’s such an apologist
Barry was on one on this episode n I totally agree with everything he said
Let the tank start for Jaxson Dart!
They said Eickinberg played well maybe they should put Austin Jackson at Left guard and Patrick Paul at RT tackle
Love Barry speaks the truth
I am a Dolphins fan. Tua is an excellent QB. I haven't enjoyed watching football this much since Dan Marino. However, I am also a human being. Football is fun, brains are life. I do not want to see Tua play NFL football again. If he returns to the field, I will not watch. I want to see this team fail for the next 3 years because that's better than watching Tua literally kill himself on national TV. The statement was made "no one should play football". That's true enough, but Tua can't realistically play football without damaging his brain. This needs to stop.
It doesn’t matter what quarterback we put behind this offensive line they’re going to struggle. We all knew it, and Greer laughed in our face about it and now I’m laughing in his face. I don’t wanna go through the season, a nine and seven win team and get a crappy pic, the season is over. The offensive line sucks. We need to tank and draft a good quarterback and rebuild this line.
Tua was not playing well even before he got injured.
A. Tua was wearing a helmet supposedly rated higher than the guardian cap.
B. I saw 2 players last week in guardian caps.
C. To say it’s not serious and drs have not correlated concussions to serious long life health issues is despicable.
On the interception to Grant DuBose on 3&13, the play before (after a miserable blocking job on 1st down) Tyreek ran a go route that Tua overthrew. Tyreek immediately waved to the sideline for a sub. Bro, I know you just ran a deep route but we NEED you on the field on a key 3&13 there. Instead with Tyreek on the bench Grant DuBose fails to get his head around on a ball that was put right on him and it turns into an INT. Be better Tyreek. Stop coming off the field every other play.
Hmmm he may not retire, but you know Dolphins getting a QB high in the draft.
The team played this game like they knew they were supposed to loose. No heart at all other than achan. Without tua run the damn ball. Run up the middle more often.
TUA HAD THE FIRST DOWN HE SHOULD OF SLIDE HE WAS SHOWING OFF IT'S ASHAME HE HURT HIMSELF THOSE ARE THE FACTS IT'S SAD BUT THE TRUTH NOBODY WANTS TO HEAR OR TALK ABOUT THE TRUTH. IT WAS A REGULAR NORMAL TACKLE WHERE TUA SHOULD OF CLEARLY SLID WHAT 97% OF QUARTERBACKS WOULD OF DONE AFTER THEY GOT THE FIRST DOWN
Omar you are correct Tua doesn't play a contact driven position but that makes it even more concerning IMO
Gotta Fire Grier, Mike Mcdaniel and hope the Drs medically force Tua to retire at this point to try and tank to get a #1 draft pick. Tua wasnt even good before the injury regardless. Cant win with this team and Tua isnt good enough. That is the facts at hand
What do you do about the 60 mil per year over the next 4 years you owe him?
This happens every year dysfunctional organization and bad coaching the quarterback is not the answer
Watching this discussion is extremely frustrating with the rather flippant comments about head injuries. To say he doesn't play a contact driven position is ridiculous. It's football. His opponents are trying to hit him every time he drops back to throw a pass. The hit he took was was not a hard, which should be a huge concern. All this "old players did this" crap is ridiculous. If we listened to the "let the players decide" crowd, why even have a concussion protocol. Let the player decide if they want to go back into the game which is basically the argument against people feeling he should retire. It is not some honor that Dan Marino can't remember football games. Also, at some point the team will have to make their own decision about him if they don't think he can play more than 3/4 of the season every year.
It’s the O LINE !!! how can anyone do anything w no O LINE
To me Barry makes a lot more sense than ?
Skylar come on Season over
Waddle and Hill can only run the routes the game plan calls for. We all know they are good enough to separate. The fact they are locked up against teams like the Bills is on a play design/game plan level. Fins need a plan to beat the two deep look. Until that happens they will not beat playoff caliber, DISCIPLINE teams.
But many forget, Mike White sold out our playbook to the Bills.
Tua should not retire.
I agree with a lot with what Barry had to say.
The Dolphins still have too many injuries and always getting injured.
There are no longer any preseason games, it’s to be expected.
The first 4 weeks now are preseason games.
But many forget, Mike White sold out our playbook to the Bills.

He took a stinger ! All players do.
Is a thought of trading for Russell Wilson, a bad thought at this point. It’s apparent that Pittsburg is pulling for Justin Fields, why not make the move now.
Tom Brady
I’ve seen smaller guys than Tua take harder hits. If Tua can’t take hits he can’t play period
Very true Omar. He will have more reps and get timing in with starters unlike preseason
Is CAM NEWTON READY??? RG3???? RYAN TANNEHILL ??? Fitzpatrick??? *whispers Tom Brady?*
Tua should wear the guardian cap. He can be the trend setter.
I agree with Omar I’m sure Robbie had the option he chose the Forrest option that Tua throw was way off even if Robbie continues it might get picked
💯 with Barry
Glad O spoke up to berry because you do not know that man ran the wrong route Tua could they have just as easily overthrown him like he has done numerous times before. I agree with the rest tho
I 100% agree with Barry Jackson. Why are we having to rely on Dubose and Chosen in critical 3rd down situations early in the game. They both looked lost and unprepared. These bad plays is what snowballed everything and ultimately ended in a franchise altering defeat. Who's dumb decision was it to give 2 practice team caliber players this type of impact. Totally unacceptable.
You guys gotta work on the audio. It’s a problem every episode
The process has failed Chris Greer has failed the season is already over it is a nightmare to be a Miami Dolphin fan
Spicy Barry i like it
Great video. However it is complete bologna to think that multiple concussions do not have a cumulative effect on a player's health and well being. I don't have to be a doctor to know that going 6 mph head first into a brick wall is not good for my health... and saying it's completely fine to do it over and over again, is a foolish take. Tell that to Muhammad Ali. Tua will decide for himself what he wants to do, and we'll all have to live with it. However it would be wise to consider both options (playing and retiring) thoroughly and seriously.
Barry speaking facts!
Agree with Barry 100 percent
Sam Howell
Seattle not trading him tho... But I Like it ‼️
Barry is right- this is a 8 maybe 9 win team max WITH Tua…this team as a whole has regressed, McDaniel, I love him, but he’s not a Top HC material, he just isn’t. The WRs including Hill and Waddle cannot stay open/separation, the TE’s are disappointing, the OL is no way a strong suit and with Jones and Armstead out it will only get worse. The DL has regressed…
The mindset is not there, the discipline is not there, the resolve is not there.
You need a good to great QB, strong trenches on both side and a run game. We had the QB, we have the RB’s. We need to draft and draft well- that’s our path
There are a handful of players using the guardian cap currently but there is limited data on the effectiveness because of the fact the so few players have used them except in camp
Great Show Guys ! A+++++
I’ve never seen omar this happy and energized. Schadenfreude?
I have been a fan since 1969 when Flipper was part of the show. Mike McDaniel needs to bring a veteran coach to help him manage these fourth down first halh cost us a touchdown and second half cost us our quaternary
Barry is right about Tua and peoples opinions.
Nobody but Tua is the one to make decisions about himself.
I disagree about the WR depths.
We need OLine and not more WR.
Our QBs have no time at all to let anything develop in offense.
Thats why the fins will lose without tua.
Skylar is a nice guy and thats it.
Grier failed in protecting tua.
Money wasnt used in the right part.
OLine needs to be adressed at Minimum twice with starter quality before tua comes back!
Biggest issue was that Tua sucked. Told y'all he hasn't done anything. Dumb fanbase and organization. We earned this past 24 years!!!!
Great show! Omar and Barry make a great team. I miss the old days on WQAM when Hank Goldberg would call Barry “Barry Jackass”. I used to call Hank’s show just to piss him off and have him insult me and hang up. Almost as good as getting insulted by Don Rickles. The good old days.
They didn’t want to believe in Mike White giving away info against Tua!!! Omar is the best. Now let’s go back and get Mike white home. 🐬🆙🐬🆙
Great job guys
Barry was on 🔥🔥🔥
My major concern with Tua is his game performance. He simply is not the player he was and I strongly suspect this is the impact of previous concussions. There was always that concern about impact that would show up later and his performance against the Bills showed just how badly he has been impacted. Now please don't mistake my written words - Tua was/is a great QB but the Dolphins simply have not been the team they once were. Now blame it on the game plan, blame it on the coach, blame it on the players but the main player is the QB and he simply has not performed as he once did. I have constantly written that Tua is a good player and the team has in fact great players so the team should have wiped the Bills but they simply didn't on their own turf and Tua had three interceptions before the concussion. Obviously something is wrong and as the leader of the team fingers will point to the QB and then to the coaching. Tua is being paid almost twice what the Bills pay Josh Allen - much has to be expected for that kind of money - again I say, something is having an impact on the performance of Tua.I want Tua to have a long happy life with his wife, children and family this man must make a very serious and hard decision - is the money more important than his health?
AJ McCarron!! He’s sitting on his couch right now as a free agent who played in the UFL last year. He would beat out Skylar as soon as he can learn 10 plays in the system. The only issue is what is it gonna take to get him to come play for an NFL team knowing he would be the clean up guy until Tua comes back..
Berios should be playing receiver. Also smythe.
Berrios can't get open
Great video fellas. Tip of the cap💯
Barry RELAX, it’s week 2! Ravens are 0-2 Bengals with Joe Burrow are 0-2 It’s gonna be okay. We can’t go off of anything last year because this is a new year. We had a bad game, it happens. If we have 4 more games like that then it’s okay to feel like this. But the Ravens and Bengals at 0-2 aren’t season over concerns right now. And neither is ours. There’s 15 more games.
Its starts with the coach. Dont understand how no one from the media is calling out McDaniel. Last night he was sniffling, rubbing his nose, incoherent and rambling, glazed eyes,. He was calling plays under the influence. It was all fun and games when Miami was winning but once the losses start piling up, he is gonna lose the team. Who really wants to play for a coach who is geeked outta his mind. Very bizarre
Yeah, I agree - no real neurologists out there are saying Tua needs to retire. So, I doubt Tua will retire, but I doubt he’ll ever start for any NFL team again after this year.
I love Tua so much, as a person, but he just isn’t built for the NFL. Reminds me of a lesser talented Andrew Luck - has incredible talent, but just couldn’t stay healthy.
It’s ironic that the Fins tried to get Deshaun, who the Browns guaranteed crazy money to and now are praying to get out of that contract…and the Fins are basically in the same situation - they just guaranteed huge money to Tua who will likely just be on the bench next year. Depressing.
This game was awesome in that it showcased the two reasons Tua should NEVER have been given that contract. Insufficient talent (too weak an arm even to throw a pass out of bounds) and injury prone. Chris Grier is a moron who has now doomed dolphin fans to many years of purgatory. And u media guys were asleep at the wheel. U should have been vociferous about not giving him that contract. Shame on u.
Hill didn’t want to play. Where are his motions?
They gave a Fragile QB that doesn't Perform well against the Real Teams $212 million dollars smh... So Dolphins ‼️
I think some of the retirement talk comes from how painful it is to watch Tua go through this....
Barry we all know that the final decision lies with Tua, his Doctors, and his family, but we all saw what we saw and I didn't appreciate you taking it out on fans that love Tua and are only saying he should consider retiring out of concern for Tua's health ...I guess freedom of speech isn't encouraged by the Miami Herald
Miami needs to stop worrying about what they CANT control. They have to start worrying about what they CAN control. They need to bring back Ryan Tannehill ASAP. Save Miamis season.
Well, this is a great place to be if you want to build callous grit with a team. The coaches and team either step up and show some grit or it’s over for the year. I’m interested to see how coach responds. By the way, Barry was aflame today, but I expected it after following his Twitter during the game! HaHa
Grier has to go.
How many concussions have you Barry Jackson? I have CTE and have been
Through hell with it and Tua will have it when he retires so spit balling yes but under stand when you lose control of your body you a 16 th of a inch form never getting up spit balling
Softest team in the league. There is no debate now.
They were bitch slapped in the face from the very beginning of the game and the dolphins cowered the rest of the way.
As for Tua, great kid, love him, but we can't trust the line to protect him, and it's clear we can't trust him to protect himself. Tua, you aren't a football player, you are a qb, but you are no football player.
We can't in good conscience let you play anymore. His family shouldn't let him either. You have 2 young kids at home now Tua! Take your money and walk away for the love of god! Be a father to those kids in 50 years please!
As for the team, well, the 5th year option was the smartest thing you could have done...still looks that way doesn't it? They have sunk sooooo much money into these players and ALOT of them aren't going to be here in a year or two...hopefully, as sad as it is to say, Tua won't be either. He will be at home being a healthy man long into the future
Lack of physicalaty on both sides of the ball. You take away both Hill and Waddle and the offense is none existent. Once again they will struggle against the good teams and even if they somehow end up with a good record, they will once again fall short of the goal of making the playoffs and achieving the ultimate goal of winning the Superbowl.
The only two guys I wanted to hear from
Tyreek and Waddle weren’t even on the field on that third down throw to Dubose. Who made that choice that when we need a 3rd and 13 conversion, we shouldn’t have the top two receivers on the field. Whether they both were out intentionally or whether they both were tired (which is unacceptable in that scenario),something has to change. You can’t call a play designed to hit Dubose on that
Omar's not the sharpest Finfan.....
Well said by Barry early. There was so mucb regression with this roster. I dont understand how anyone woupd think the team had upgraded.
