South African here. My 50-year old house has a flat metal roof with a 1 degree pitch, so obviously it has begun to leak. Fortunately the original builder used good IBR for the roof so I only have to patch it, not replace it. Your videos help a lot in teaching me how to do this, so thank you! By the way, your accent sounds familiar... oh, and your daughter is lovely.
Here is one for you: I met a SA guy in Walmart one day. And from about 30 ft away I shouted to him Me -"Hey Englesman!" He replied "A boer maak a Plan" I replied "yeeeeeeeh!" He replied "But a Englesman maak a beter plan" That took all the wind out of my sails I will never forget how he caught me offguard.
Step one, remove the rust and get to the bare metal Step 2 prime with a bare metal etch primer (epoxy is best) you skipped that step. Step 3 coat with your turbo poly seal..and apply a large sheet of poly fleece which you don't sell on your site. What gives?
I know you are the distributor of this product, so it is very biased when it comes to options. Besides turbo poly-seal, is there anything else that you would recommend?
Not biased, there is nothing else that compares to it. Elastomastic is horrible, Henry's brand is either Tar or Silicone. This product is a combination of Asphalt and Urethane resins with catalysts. It is a brilliant idea and only Bergstrom as far as I know makes it
I have a leak that only leaks in the winter when it snows. I don't really know where the leak is coming from. It could rain cats and dogs but not leak, can anyone explain why that is?
It could be some ice forming, then blocking the water flow, causing water dam. It is very likely where the snow is melted away and water can freeze. Snow is an insulator and water does not freeze under it. You did not specify on what type of roof you have this leak. Metal, Rubber, asphalt? Anyway, maybe someone else can give some input.
Do you ever do any real repairs other than just slapping poly seal on everything? It gets boring watching the same stuff in every video. You do have a very beautiful daughter though 👍
Sorry to bore you. I know you want to be entertained. I am making a video that will take about 3 months to finish, hoping to entertain you. I want your comment again on that one. I think you already know how to make repairs on your own, no need to watch my boring videos. Read the comment above (@halfbreed02) answering your question "Do you ever do any real repairs other than just slapping poly seal on everything? "

@@FlatRoofDoctor Not true. Plenty other companies make it
@@FlatRoofDoctor Elastomastic is horrible in general or for this specific application?
It might just be German efficiency
