Oh my gosh, I love her voice!!
She is also beautiful
I like her.she always keeps smile.
I love her too..
that is because her voice is low wave lenth, which touches the feelings, like a baby crying for example of laughing. However in this case she probably touches your sexual desires; and yes odur and sound play a role in that, too.
Hi,how are you?
As a native American English speaker, here's some (hopefully helpful) critique!
-Rubbing elbows: I never hear this in everyday conversation. More common and understood would be something like "When are we going to catch up next?"
-Off the record: This definitely works in conversation, but another way to say this would be "You didn't hear this from me, but..."
-Insinuate: This is definitely not only used for negative suggestions. You can insinuate anything.
-Uptight: Definitely only say this about yourself. Calling someone else uptight will be seen as very rude and offensive.
-Take your time: Be careful with your tone with this one. It can easily be interpreted as sarcastic if you use the wrong tone, or say it in the wrong situation.
-Full of crap: This is more of a TV censored version of this phrase. It is more likely you'll hear someone say "He's full of shit." Definitely not polite
-Squeaky Clean: Clean is generally not used to describe someone looking cool, although fresh is. Saying someone is squeaky clean would more likely be a comment on their character than their appearance.
-Play by ear: Definitely say "play IT by ear." Play by ear definitely sounds foreign.
-Zero tolerance: This phrase should be followed by "for" not "to. For example, "I have zero tolerance for my camera stopping in the middle of my video."
-Gotta go: This is not really a replacement for saying goodbye. It would be considered more polite to say this before you say goodbye.
Great video though! most of these sounded like really natural American English!

Thank you
Rubbing elbows is used in American conversation but she used it incorrectly. You might say "They're rubbing elbows with some important people."
Simon - Britain's Got Talent ;)
As a native English speaker, these phrases are super common and you should practice them and try them out often. Great lesson!
I really appreciate it the feedback...I'll make sure to remember all these phrases.. Gracias.
I came across this channel by chance and I loved it.
About the words in this vid, many of the words are widely-spread commonly used in the UK as well.
No doubt all these words and expressions have been brought to the UK and other English-speaking countries
through American movies and TV series, which I do very much appreciate.
Marina, this is a top-notch video!
Thank you dear. You're really amazing!

Top notch video, Marina!
I know I'm late commenting this video, but I wanted to add some comments and/or corrections about some of these phrases. These are coming from an American who has lived in the South and Northeast of the US for over 45 years and loves language. Anyway, here we go:
Rubbing elbows: I've never heard this used between friends. Normally it would be used in a case where you are amongst talented, successful, and/or famous people. For instance, a couple of coworkers of mine had dinner at the White House a few years ago, so they got to rub elbows with the Obamas. With a friend, I would say something like, "When can we get together again?" or "When are we going to hang out again?" The former is a bit more formal, and could be used with a business associate. The latter is only for social situations with someone who is - or is becoming - a friend.
Kiss and fly: This is the first time I have ever heard this phrase. It could either be a California thing, or just a marketing slogan.
Insinuate: The key to an insinuation (from Marina's explanation) is that it is implied rather than stated outright. For instance, if I said to a friend, "You do crossword puzzles really well for someone with your education," they might say, "Are you insinuating that I am uneducated?" I haven't said that directly, but the implication is there. As Marina also said, an insinuation is always negative, whereas an implication can be positive, negative, or neutral.
Jonesing: This originally comes from drug addicts, I believe, but is definitely used in any addiction or (humorous) pseudo-addiction ("pseudo" is a prefix that means "similar to but not actually") situation. Marina's example of jonesing for coffee is perfect. A sports fan might also be jonesing for baseball season to start.
Uptight: I just want to offer a clarification between being uptight and simple nervousness. Uptight has connotations of being judgmental and/or overly obedient to rules, as opposed to simply being nervous. For instance, if you are planning to sneak candy into a movie theater and one of your friends is saying, "Guys, we're not allowed to do this! They could kick us out!" a reply might be, "Relax, dude! Don't be so uptight!" But if you are, say, preparing for a presentation to your boss and are nervous about how it is going to go, that's not being uptight; it's just being nervous. (In that case, you might say you have "butterflies in your stomach.")
Take your time: Perfect explanation, but be aware that it is often used ironically. If someone wants you to hurry, they might say, "No, please, take your time. It's not like there are five people waiting for you or anything." Context, tone, and body language are important.
Suits. The show is just "Suits," not "The Suits." ;-)
Wuss: Slightly more socially acceptable than "pussy". Pussy is super offensive.
Swaning: Makes sense, but this is another one I have never heard before.
Douche: This is a tool that *women* use in the toilet.
Train wreck: This is like a huge face palm, or a situation where things have just spiraled completely out of control. For instance, you could say of your cousin who is making lots of bad choices with drugs, alcohol, and or partners, "His life is a total train wreck!" (Bonus fact: Train wrecks were staged as entertainment back in the 1800's in the US. They would run two train engines at top speed at each other on a track specially constructed for the purpose. No UA-cam back then, I guess.)
Squeaky clean: I wouldn't say that this means someone is "really cool." In fact, I wouldn't use it about others' appearances at all. I might say that, "I just jumped out of the shower, so I'm squeaky clean." Where it can be used to describe others is in the arena of morality. For instance, you might say, "Burke has never done anything wrong. He's squeaky clean."
Hotshot: This can also be used in a challenging way, as in, "OK, you say you are good at this. Let's see what you've got, hotshot!" meaning, "You talk good game, but it's time to back up your words with actions."
Wicked: In Massachusetts, this is typically used as an adverb instead of an adjective. I might say you are, "Wicked smart," or that Marina's sweater is "wicked cool." That's completely a regional thing, though.
You're telling me: I wouldn't rise up in tone at the end as if I'm asking a question. I just say it as a statement, "You're telling me!"
Hit the spot: I wouldn't say, "You hit the spot." I would take a sip and say, "Ah! That hits the spot!" This is used almost exclusively with food and drink.
Again, these are just based on my experiences as a native English speaker. Good luck with your language learning, all!
Douche: This is a tool that women use in the toilet. ?
Specifically, it's a device for washing out the vagina. I believe in other English speaking countries they use "douche" to mean "shower", but I've only heard it in the women's healthcare product sense here in the US.
Yes - Glad someone clarified these. People learning English - please read this. These are good clarifications on what Marina has said. Also @burke615 I think that Kiss and Fly is a marketing slogan. I'm from California and this is never used in conversation about taking trips.
burke615 Thanks! you can be a teacher 🤓
burke615 thanks man

I was jonesing for such video..
"that hit the spot" is more like something was really satisfying. So if your friend gave you a coffee you would respond, "that coffee really hit the spot" AFTER you drank it.
Marvelous. Exceedingly helpful. The American accent training book comes with the audio CD's and is extremely beneficial.
It was a top notch video. Thanks a lot Marina.

Hi Marina! This is a top notch video, as usual :) Really great content, very useful phrases. Greetings and have a nice day ;)
Hey Ms. Marina this is a top notch video i loved it❤️
Marina! This was top notch video, thank u so much
In case you people don't know, the words 'hell' and 'damn' are considered extremely offensive in many English speaking countries. Hence, 'heck' is used more or less as an euphemism for 'hell' just in the manner 'darn' is used for damn. Apart from this fact I have stated, I would like to thank the lady in the video for this useful presentation.
Correction to "hits the spot"
Usually attributed to a thing, not person.
If someone brings you coffee, you say ' Thanks, it hit the spot'. (It was what I needed).
Right. Or if you have a good meal or snack you could say it hit the spot. It fulfilled you in the best way food could at that moment.
""hits the spot" ==> Sometimes, the phrase simultaneously applies to both a "thing" and ":person. e.g. Jeffery Dahmer said, "Gee , Kohnerac Synthasimpone's roasted left leg sure hit the spot! Yummy!"
Exactly. Look at my comments above. Many mistakes. Not trying to be picky, but I don't want her to mislead whoever wants to learn correct English.
Josh Galifianakis I was looking for your comments but I couldn’t find them
Angela D, I think the term generally means if something hits the spot, it's exactly what is needed. For example, you want to praise your subordinate for the finding, you can say "You certainly hit the spot with the finding." In sum, well done!
It's really helpful to improve English, I love the way of your teaching skills, it's a top notch video :)

Hey Marina, it was a top notch video!
Top notch video, Marina!
Gratitude!
In my understanding, "to rub elbows" is to go to a semi-social event. Think of carrying your drink around a cocktail party... inevitably you'll rub elbows with others there.
The implication is that you'll go there to make business contacts, or have informal business conversations.
It's almost never used among friends in a purely social context. At least in my experience.
You sound terribly sweet. I really like the way how you talk , smile and teach. Your videos are really beneficial. ❤️ From Bangladesh 😄
Yes ,,she’s very good , but check your word terribly .. maybe I’m wrong, but keep that hard work, I also an ESL student . Be safe & Blessings from Mexico
