Lovely. I am from the Caribbean where there is a relatively large East Indian presence due to indentureship period. I grew up in my grandmother's house...what we call a traditional "Tapia" /mud house. Two levels, very beautiful....you would not have thought it was a mud. The one thing i remember was when we were demolishing it to construct a bigger more modern home. The work men began demolition and were relentlessly hitting the walls but it just would not fall. An older person told them "let the crane tear it down, you're wasting your time. Concrete would fall easily, but not mud house". I was 8 years old. When the crane began to tear it down i saw why....the mud, the cow dung & the grass kept those walls so tightly binded. Seeing this video brings a smile to my face. Well done lady. You could see how pleased mother in law is❤
Can’t believe this house has a material palette so similar to my idea of a sustainable, yet elegant mud house! A lot of mud houses I have come across lack any use of limestone finishes for waterproofing, wall paints, etc. So glad to have found this video.
Very beautiful project on this channel. This is the best project after Nitin Kilawala's Smriti House project. Hats off & wishes to the architect. please if possible put one short of this house on channel. ❤
Greetings from the USA. So impressed with the concept and the process. Wonderful work. One wish. I was waiting to see the studio. Wishing you much success.
Shri Radhey As I was seeing the Vedio, it was as I am available at the same place. Nice work done. Great. Actually it's a place to live, That's with nature given by God. It's a way to thanks God.
I guess that rats cannot harm these structures as rammed earth are about 1 to 2ft thick with 5% cement composition which are terminate proof and can last upto 100 years
I am also keen to build this kind of mud house for myself ...which looks wise make feel the ..deshipan...and so cheapest to my pocket...so beautifull this mud house ..well done ..well tried 👍👍👍
The stairs reminded me of Rani ki Vav. I think such homes can only sustain in dry conditions like Alwar... elsewhere heavy monsoon can disfigure it in couple of years. I would like to be proven wrong.
Looking Awesome and good see something like back to basics. What kind of cost incurred in this project. Planning to have similar kind of house at my farm.
Calling her mother-in-law a "farmer" is like calling Anil Ambani an electrician. She is nothing but a rich socialite hobbyist... So please stop insulting the farmers.
I have 11 hectares of land in the Philippines, and I am planning to dedicate half of it into making a small village with all houses created with mud. I have this Idea of a village built with only eco friendly materials or natural materials that we can get in my land. Mud, sand, straws, woods etc. Straws or mud tile for roofs... And for electricity, I already built a hydro electric water wheel and am planning to build more in the future, I also have a solar power that I use for my water pumps to irrigate my farm. I am planning to just use these power source in the future since my land is already in the middle of th jungle and mountaisn. 20 kilometer away from nearby city. But All of these are just mere ideas and dream of mine for now. I am only 25 years old and there's so much I need to learn and experience. I am still starting to learn about this Mud houses or cob house and t
VERY INTERESTING Earth House design I am curious to know how the home looks after a year are so of being erected are there any cracks etc in the earth bag core wall clay interior finishes etc and what is the thermal performance of keeping its occupants comfortable in this incredible hot weather india is experience? The home is beautiful as it blends with the site and looks awe inspiring for anyone seeking a earth stone structure with beautiful aesthetics and soul of natural materials.
Hi Shilpa, just wanted to know if the house is resilient particularly against the natural hazards? Also is the strength and stiffness comparable to steel and concrete?
Hi, yes Rammed earth house are quite resilient against any natural calamities like, earthquake, fire and rain. Need to stabilize the earth using just 5-7 % lime or cement. I will prefer cement as it's sustainable material. I will personally suggest to see videos of Rammed earth wall/house. In south India already there are lot of such house projects in place. Thank you that you are concerned about Earth 🌎 and sustainable living 😊
Do have temperature readings during peak summer.. outside ambient air temperature, outside wall temperature and similarly indoor for different rooms with different roof material. Also i see a AC installed so i am assuming temperatures are going above 28 degree Celsius indoors.
What about climate change..like leak due to rain or extreme hear during summer or coldness in winter?? And its overall impact over the years on the mud house? What precautions or measure did u undertake while constructing this mud house??
Can you please share the google map location of this house. Wish to visit and see for myself to replicate the same at my 1.5 Bigha agriculture land in Alwar district only
Hey Shipra . We are looking forward to make a small 2BHK farmhouse in Haryana . We want it to be simple and sober , so it would be great if you let me know more that how will it be made and if you can be the architect. #Buildofy
It is exciting to see traditional building methods get a modern implementation. The house is beautiful, sustainable, and well crafted.

This is the loveliest thing that one can do for its parents. And most of all this is the best way how we should be living.
Can’t believe this house has a material palette so similar to my idea of a sustainable, yet elegant mud house! A lot of mud houses I have come across lack any use of limestone finishes for waterproofing, wall paints, etc.

Mashallah. Interesting
Fantastic and bold 🙏🏽
Great work!! 🙏
Very beautiful. Connect to nature.
If there are less rats running around, I am all fine with mud house. Also if less maintenance and dust then I am okay.
I guess that rats cannot harm these structures as rammed earth are about 1 to 2ft thick with 5% cement composition which are terminate proof and can last upto 100 years
Any lowbudget house construction. Let me know
Bro nobody asking you you ..
Keep a cat 🐈 if rats are a problem
This is not mud (kacchi mitti) but rammed earth, by time it becomes more stronger.
very nice
Good to see such initiative towards sustainability
Beautiful!!

Hello Shipra, I want to know the wall mud formation and how to increase the strength of ceiling , beams at rainy conditions
The stairs reminded me of Rani ki Vav.
I think such homes can only sustain in dry conditions like Alwar... elsewhere heavy monsoon can disfigure it in couple of years.
I would like to be proven wrong.
Earth houses should have good hats (roof) and good boots (elevated foundation) and it can easily withstand heavy rain. They built a marvelous home.
wow..do you make plans available to viewers at all. this is beautiful
I wish there was a rammed earth home on AirBnB I would love to book a stay, just to get a feel for it.
sustainable eco friendly Houses are need of the hour.
WonderHome
Nicely done. I'm curious about the "completely natural tie beam". How does that work?
Natural tie beam 😀
Best...
lovely
Looking Awesome and good see something like back to basics. What kind of cost incurred in this project. Planning to have similar kind of house at my farm.

What the use of AC again
😂😂...rich people and their ideologies 😂😂
Nice house, as you used mud, i guess the temp must be lower than outside one...even w/o AC.
Beautiful house.. But where do they keep their cloths and stuff?
