Someone in another video was saying that Garling doesn’t actually like the terrible things he does for the Government, and that’s why he seems to have contempt for the Gorosei, because they make him do those things. I was like, “NOOOO… If anything, it’s the opposite! Garling has contempt for the Gorosei because they’re not extreme enough for him.”

I think Imu’s power is like Muzan Kibutsuji from demon slayer. He may just be the first of his kind and can share or take away his power with others. Maybe there’s some sort of contract involved as well similar to Black Clover and devils.

Kizaru may be a potential window into Garp if he decided to accept the promotion admiral he had been offered many times in the past. Garp was clearly deserving of it, but understood that it was a golden cage. If the theory of the Marines having a civil war is true than Garp will not side with Imu and the Gorosei in the event he is still alive by time it happens. I don't think Kizaru will either, he will do the right thing in the end, and will likely side with the winning faction.

I think Lucci is going to end up betraying the government, and I think his devil fruit is the key idea for that. You’ve said in previous videos that some characters who are loyal to a fault to the world government have dog names, or look like dogs. Lucci doesn’t follow this scheme, and ends up at essentially the opposite side of the spectrum, a cat.

Imu saw what Saturn did by preserving that robot as not only a failure, but an outright betrayal. It really drives home the fact that despite all the political power the Gorosei appear to have they are just Imu's puppets that can be disposed of at will. It is entirely possible that Saturn was not the first Gorosei to be disposed of after doing something to piss Imu off. I remember this one scene chapters back where Ju Peter lacked this important bit of knowledge that the other Gorosei had, this is likely due to Ju Peter replacing a previous member much like how Figarland Garling replaced Saturn. Since Garling was previously in charge of the God's Knights it does make me wonder who now be in charge of them.
Everyone glossed over a very tiny detail in the chapter. Ju Peter's reaction to the Garling revelation is shown below the other gorosei, with sweat beads. It's a tiny thing, but there's a huge web of theories about him eventually betraying them. There's subtle things in his characterization, like his reaction after the order to destroy Lulusia is given. Specifically in this chapter he gets a large panel with a concerned look right next to Garling's title introduction.
Imu having replaced members in the past makes sense since, while all clearly immortal, the elders also appear to be different ages. On Imu, one thought I had is that they consumed THE devil fruit and it gives them the ability to borrow powers from the underworld.
I appreciate that Stella stayed dead. It helps to show what the different Vegapunks truly are- they were introduced as “aspects of Vegapunk”, so while they technically are their own persons, they’re also still part of Vegapunk; I feel like that distinction allowed us to have the death of Vegapunk while still fulfilling the goal of saving Vegapunk. Obviously this won’t sit well with everyone, but personally ok with it because the satellites are essentially clones that as a whole add up to Vegapunk. Vegapunk proper is dead, but Vegapunk as the idea still lives on, and each of the “good” aspects of him live on to carry out Vegapunk’s Will

The satellites can return from death because that’s what they essentially are: data, ideas, and memories- but Vegapunk himself as a person is absolutely dead. So in other words, the original Vegapunk where all those ideas stemmed from is not here nor in Punk Records whereas all of his ideas and knowledge still live on through the Satellites who were essentially personified aspects and ideas within Vegapunk that were categorized into their own persons. The satellites as a whole are Vegapunk, so each individual is also Vegapunk, but as they all have their own personalities and stemming thought processes, they are all also uniquely themselves. That’s how Vegapunk is both dead yet his Will still lives on through them

The Stella is just the personification and avatar of who he was in life minus the aspects he made manifest, and because we know all other aspects/personalities that have come from the brain can come back there shouldn't be an exception for the Stella. The Stella is just like the satellites, he had to sync up and his head is missing so his body isn't normal. And if the other satellites can exist in another body why can't the Stella?
One interesting point not mentioned is Catarina Devon's role, now that Saturn is dead. If she's going to use Saturn's image, she has to do it quickly, before his death is revealed to the world.

Saturn defied Emu's orders when the iron giant showed up the first time. He was supposed to destroy it, but instead ordered scientists to study it. Because of that, VP was able to put the snail in there, and ultimately, Saturn failed because both the message got out and the giant's haki bomb let Strawhat get away. One time ignoring orders ruined everything in the end.

i feel like this chapter outlined the idea that real death comes when the soul loses its connection to the real world, the vegapunks still have spare parts and a brain in a jar, but saturn turned to dust and is officially dead once that happened. idk how to word it but the idea is that death comes in levels and at a certain level individuals lose freedoms in the world
Garling's promotion may answer one of the questions the fans have been asking for years: just what is the point or of what use are the celestial dragons in the grand scheme of things? From the beginning they have been shown to be nothing more than amoral, hedonistic megalomaniacs with literal god complex that are just there to burn money and make people's life miserable, with the five elders being the only exemption. However throughout the series and specially in more recent chapters we have been presented with Celestial Dragons that are not only mosters in the moral sense but monsters in terms of strength and wisdom: the five elders, Doflamingo, Garling and possibly Shanks, Shanks of course being the only moral one in the list if it is confirmed that he is one which seems to be the case. I don't know but here's seems to be something about them that in time they produce individuals with great power, maybe there's something in the air in the holy land or there's something effective about the possible inbreeding that's going on there after all. In any case this may point at the possibility that their true purpose is to produce said exceptional members for Imu to pick (like fruits) and turn them into whatever they are for him/her to control and by extension use them to control the world in his/her behalf, not to mention that they become living wmd's capable of great destruction through whatever type of power Imu seems to grant them.

Saturn dying was something I saw coming, but it is how he died that surprised me. With Kizaru questioning things more and more and with evidence of a close bond between him and Akainu, Doberman of all people asking his ballsy question of Saturn as well as Lucci showing loyalty to his comrades over the World Government it is bolstering theories of a potential civil war within the Marines and also indicating that this will spill over into Cipher Pol as well.
I wonder if theres a reason why Kizaru didn't appear alongside the vice-admirals, maybe bro had a bad feeling and decided to leave before Imu got any funny ideas
It was Saturn that stopped the dismantling of Emet ... thus his fatal mistake 200 years ago that came back to vote him. Perhaps Imu's power works something similar to Basil Hawkins devil fruit on greater degree. After the contract Imu can decide to terminate the contract hence killing the subject in the contract. A contract will also answer perhaps the summoning of the five elders to Egghead
I listened to this video and now I wonder if I even read the arc at all. There are a lot of parallels that I flat-out missed. Wholly heck dude! When it comes to talking about One Piece, you are Him. Regarding Lucci, keep in mind that CP9 had a post-Ennies Lobby cover story in which they went to great lengths to find and pay for a doctor to heal Lucci. (I still hold onto the theory that Law was the doctor who saved Lucci.) But that may have been the first time people helped Lucci out of kindness, which may have left him somewhat indebted/bonded to Kaku and the other CP9 members he doesn't have with anyone else. If Kaku had told Lucci that Stussy was killed, Lucci would undoubtedly have known it was a lie but may have reluctantly accepted it because it was coming from Kaku.
I can't agree with that simply because the vast majority we've seen are all entirely useless spoiled people. Seems pretty clear to me that good ones are the vast minority. Also that even being "good" is a crime among them that usually gets people dead. So even if there were good ones, they're gone now.
That is likely one of the main reasons Doflamingo's parents renounced their titles and moved out of Mariejois. They weren't just taking a moral stand, they were also trying to protect their children from being poisoned by the toxic influences of Marijois as well as protecting them from potential reprisals from the God's Knights. One or both of them could have been on thin ice and knew they had to get out of dodge so to speak. Myosgard got executed earlier on in the arc for stepping out of line.

The theory that the strength of the gorosei is based on distance from earth is looking more likely. Since garling is clearly the moon, and he will now likely be the strongest of them all

Saturn was Vegapunk’s opposite- the latter makes so many mistakes, but he has the foresight to plan ahead with his eventual death and final message. Saturn on the other hand, as his chapter shows, makes petty and shortsighted decisions like making Kuma a robot and his life a living hell just because of a decades-long act of spite and sparing the robot that embarrassed him and the others- was spared by his curiosity. And he lacked the foresight of him likely being replaced, dying while not entirely understanding the reason.

My thoughts & opinions of the chapter: 1. With Saturn dead for real, and Garling being his replacement, I now wonder if Blackbeard's plans involving Devon touching Saturn will still be useful? 2. After Vegapunk's brain left, not only did this hopefully prove that York's desire won't come true, but I do wonder if the new Vegapunk will reach the RA so that it will help Dragon & the others with their goals! 3. While it is no surprise that Garling will gain some new powers after succeeding Saturn, I do want to know if his opponent for the final battles of the series will be either Zoro (unless Nusjuro will still be around long enough for them to have a rematch), or Dragon (who knew that having the Holy Knights make their move was they only for to begin the RA's next move)?
About 3) that's why I don't think the Elders are the final Straw Hat opponents. The matchups are just weird, and almost need to double up on a couple. I think the Gorosei and Imu fall first, then in the chaos that Blackbeard thrives in he goes and tries to get Imu's Godly Zoan Fruit to finish off his trio, and so he can power up his own crew for the actual final fights between the Straw Hats and Blackbeards crew. I will say when it comes to the Gorosei, Usopp will shoot down Mars like the myth of the Itsumade getting shot down by a great archer. Zoro has to fight the better named Kitetsu sword Ghandi has too, so to answer that part I'd guess Venus versus Zoro.
1: likely yes. She copied not only his appearance, but also several of his skills, but the regeneration, the summoning and immortality (possibly). She can stun enemies, read the mind of the other gorosei,flying by spinning her apendages, spiting explosive. poison, and it's far from being useless. 2: yes. Now that the world thinks that Vegapunk is no more, they can act calmly and get in touch with the RA 3: Who knows?
Garlings Yokai should be a Bakeneko. Mountain Cat trickster who is powered by... the moon. They're zoan devil fruit users with Imu granting powers to them is my guess. You should ask who becomes a God Knight if you didn't think Garling could be a Gorosei, because it should be someone very trustworthy and strong like CP0 agents. Lucci or his boss could move up. All just theories, we all get a lot wrong and we all have some victories. Also hope we see the Marines starting to fracture more.
bruh. saturn basically admited that vegapunk was right to the vice admirals and then was capped right in front of them. they saw shit and i assume theyre going to say what they saw. if imu can speak to the gorosei via wifi then can imu also see what they see? if so then will those vice admirals be capped next? i just re read the chapter and saturn's last word was "Mu...!!" which if i remember correctly was a bit of taboo knowledge that may mean something to someone. now if the vice admirals can even comprehend the "Mu...!!" is to be seen. perhaps its one last failure from saturn
You and me seem to agree on a lot on stuff like the Gorosei numbers being the order they were recruited and Imu being the Devil and giving the Gorosei their powers, lol, I actually had these ideas for a while (The Numbers were when I saw how the numbers didn't make much sense and I always believed Imu was some sort of devil or has the powers of the Devil)
I think the perspective that Oda is trying to point out is that sometimes in a society where you’re just trying to fit in not be the minority and again when I say this, it’s hard to understand when you’re not on the outside but sometime you have to step on somebody that’s on the inside in to get in inside when you’re in a minority for some will understand for others. It will be hard to understand, but they will get it eventually.
Saturn turned out to be an entire barrel of disappointment for his own side. He's actually low-key the MVP of this arc. I'm still glad he died in the most painful way possible.
Just now thought about it; why I think Lilith will become a straw hat. She will be the key to the world knowing about the true history of the world.. since she’ll be with crew when they reach Laughtale. She will witness the truth and transmit it to Egghead and the rest of the Vegapunks in the clouds.
I am of the belief that Garland is actually to be the traitor as well JB. Something to think about around Garlands relation to Imu, if Garland symbolizes the moon as some are theorizing then something should be noted on the relationship between the moon (Garland) & the sea (Imu) a closer connection than the other planetary bodies have. Also, doesn’t the moon have influence on the ocean (the ebb and flow of the currents) and not the other way around ? Could that mean Garland will have the biggest impact towards the goals of Imu or could this mean Garland himself is actually the potential traitor and is secretly working towards more power? He is a celestial dragon after all, which we’ve seen throughout the story to have self centered completely self serving agendas.
I do agree that Imu was a pirate, I had a theory a few months back. Where joyboy & xbec was the co captains, imu is joyboy 1st mate, they had a Davey back fight on pirate island and the 3 coins represented joyboy, xbec and imu. It then became gods/pirates (joyboy) vs marines( xbec) vs demons (Imu), where Imu is actually the 1st devil fruit/demon inside a devil fruit. I’m still trying to figure out the crew for each of them, as they each had 11 members, which parallels Blackbeard crew,the planets & the hierarchy of the marines. After this chapter I don’t know what to believe anymore.

Theory - What if IMU has King of monsters(living in hell) devil fruit. And in the final battle with IMU luffy is battling Imu but however couldn't defeat him. To defeat Imu one has to kill the king of monsters in hell. Which would be Zoro. This is how you level both Zoro and luffy's power. Both on equal footing.
Imu's head is an antenna like Vega's. The big straw hat was made and infused with woven haki to go on imu's head to block the signal to his version of punk records.
First, I liked the video as a whole but I have a separate theory about saturns death and that is imu not being able to give and take powers but that he used a conquerors haki si.ilar to shanks. This could explain the goroseis dislike of their new member as they may see him as a threat to their existence. It would also pave the way for some crazier theories oda style. For instance if there are different variations then you could say the swords placed at imus throne have a different meaning. Maybe imu could control the kings with conquerors haki from a great distance through them.

Imus ability might work similar to the strawman ability Hawkins has, but backwards(imu takes the damage ). If imu was made immortal he then could make people he links to himself also immortal.

Kizaru is the closest thing One Piece has to real world employees.
Kizaru may be a potential window into Garp if he decided to accept the promotion admiral he had been offered many times in the past. Garp was clearly deserving of it, but understood that it was a golden cage. If the theory of the Marines having a civil war is true than Garp will not side with Imu and the Gorosei in the event he is still alive by time it happens. I don't think Kizaru will either, he will do the right thing in the end, and will likely side with the winning faction.

I think Lucci is going to end up betraying the government, and I think his devil fruit is the key idea for that. You’ve said in previous videos that some characters who are loyal to a fault to the world government have dog names, or look like dogs. Lucci doesn’t follow this scheme, and ends up at essentially the opposite side of the spectrum, a cat.

Imu saw what Saturn did by preserving that robot as not only a failure, but an outright betrayal. It really drives home the fact that despite all the political power the Gorosei appear to have they are just Imu's puppets that can be disposed of at will. It is entirely possible that Saturn was not the first Gorosei to be disposed of after doing something to piss Imu off. I remember this one scene chapters back where Ju Peter lacked this important bit of knowledge that the other Gorosei had, this is likely due to Ju Peter replacing a previous member much like how Figarland Garling replaced Saturn. Since Garling was previously in charge of the God's Knights it does make me wonder who now be in charge of them.
Everyone glossed over a very tiny detail in the chapter. Ju Peter's reaction to the Garling revelation is shown below the other gorosei, with sweat beads. It's a tiny thing, but there's a huge web of theories about him eventually betraying them. There's subtle things in his characterization, like his reaction after the order to destroy Lulusia is given. Specifically in this chapter he gets a large panel with a concerned look right next to Garling's title introduction.

Imu having replaced members in the past makes sense since, while all clearly immortal, the elders also appear to be different ages. On Imu, one thought I had is that they consumed THE devil fruit and it gives them the ability to borrow powers from the underworld.
I think Ju Peter replaced another Gorosei at some point, there are hints that he was the youngest before Garling was made a member.
There's some cool foreshadowing with Garling becoming an Elder, in that his moon hair from the front looks like a star
I appreciate that Stella stayed dead. It helps to show what the different Vegapunks truly are- they were introduced as “aspects of Vegapunk”, so while they technically are their own persons, they’re also still part of Vegapunk; I feel like that distinction allowed us to have the death of Vegapunk while still fulfilling the goal of saving Vegapunk.
Obviously this won’t sit well with everyone, but personally ok with it because the satellites are essentially clones that as a whole add up to Vegapunk. Vegapunk proper is dead, but Vegapunk as the idea still lives on, and each of the “good” aspects of him live on to carry out Vegapunk’s Will

The satellites can return from death because that’s what they essentially are: data, ideas, and memories- but Vegapunk himself as a person is absolutely dead.
So in other words, the original Vegapunk where all those ideas stemmed from is not here nor in Punk Records whereas all of his ideas and knowledge still live on through the Satellites who were essentially personified aspects and ideas within Vegapunk that were categorized into their own persons. The satellites as a whole are Vegapunk, so each individual is also Vegapunk, but as they all have their own personalities and stemming thought processes, they are all also uniquely themselves. That’s how Vegapunk is both dead yet his Will still lives on through them

The Stella is just the personification and avatar of who he was in life minus the aspects he made manifest, and because we know all other aspects/personalities that have come from the brain can come back there shouldn't be an exception for the Stella. The Stella is just like the satellites, he had to sync up and his head is missing so his body isn't normal. And if the other satellites can exist in another body why can't the Stella?
One interesting point not mentioned is Catarina Devon's role, now that Saturn is dead. If she's going to use Saturn's image, she has to do it quickly, before his death is revealed to the world.

Because of that, VP was able to put the snail in there, and ultimately, Saturn failed because both the message got out and the giant's haki bomb let Strawhat get away. One time ignoring orders ruined everything in the end.

Garling's promotion may answer one of the questions the fans have been asking for years: just what is the point or of what use are the celestial dragons in the grand scheme of things? From the beginning they have been shown to be nothing more than amoral, hedonistic megalomaniacs with literal god complex that are just there to burn money and make people's life miserable, with the five elders being the only exemption.
However throughout the series and specially in more recent chapters we have been presented with Celestial Dragons that are not only mosters in the moral sense but monsters in terms of strength and wisdom: the five elders, Doflamingo, Garling and possibly Shanks, Shanks of course being the only moral one in the list if it is confirmed that he is one which seems to be the case. I don't know but here's seems to be something about them that in time they produce individuals with great power, maybe there's something in the air in the holy land or there's something effective about the possible inbreeding that's going on there after all.
In any case this may point at the possibility that their true purpose is to produce said exceptional members for Imu to pick (like fruits) and turn them into whatever they are for him/her to control and by extension use them to control the world in his/her behalf, not to mention that they become living wmd's capable of great destruction through whatever type of power Imu seems to grant them.

With Kizaru questioning things more and more and with evidence of a close bond between him and Akainu, Doberman of all people asking his ballsy question of Saturn as well as Lucci showing loyalty to his comrades over the World Government it is bolstering theories of a potential civil war within the Marines and also indicating that this will spill over into Cipher Pol as well.
Another comparison is how the Elders added a new partner whereas the vegapunks united the remaining punks

Regarding Lucci, keep in mind that CP9 had a post-Ennies Lobby cover story in which they went to great lengths to find and pay for a doctor to heal Lucci. (I still hold onto the theory that Law was the doctor who saved Lucci.) But that may have been the first time people helped Lucci out of kindness, which may have left him somewhat indebted/bonded to Kaku and the other CP9 members he doesn't have with anyone else. If Kaku had told Lucci that Stussy was killed, Lucci would undoubtedly have known it was a lie but may have reluctantly accepted it because it was coming from Kaku.

I have a theory: There are actually a lot of World nobles that are good people but they are kept in line by People like Garling, and the God’s knights
I can't agree with that simply because the vast majority we've seen are all entirely useless spoiled people. Seems pretty clear to me that good ones are the vast minority. Also that even being "good" is a crime among them that usually gets people dead. So even if there were good ones, they're gone now.
That is likely one of the main reasons Doflamingo's parents renounced their titles and moved out of Mariejois. They weren't just taking a moral stand, they were also trying to protect their children from being poisoned by the toxic influences of Marijois as well as protecting them from potential reprisals from the God's Knights. One or both of them could have been on thin ice and knew they had to get out of dodge so to speak. Myosgard got executed earlier on in the arc for stepping out of line.

Saturn was Vegapunk’s opposite- the latter makes so many mistakes, but he has the foresight to plan ahead with his eventual death and final message.
Saturn on the other hand, as his chapter shows, makes petty and shortsighted decisions like making Kuma a robot and his life a living hell just because of a decades-long act of spite and sparing the robot that embarrassed him and the others- was spared by his curiosity. And he lacked the foresight of him likely being replaced, dying while not entirely understanding the reason.

My thoughts & opinions of the chapter:
1. With Saturn dead for real, and Garling being his replacement, I now wonder if Blackbeard's plans involving Devon touching Saturn will still be useful?
2. After Vegapunk's brain left, not only did this hopefully prove that York's desire won't come true, but I do wonder if the new Vegapunk will reach the RA so that it will help Dragon & the others with their goals!
3. While it is no surprise that Garling will gain some new powers after succeeding Saturn, I do want to know if his opponent for the final battles of the series will be either Zoro (unless Nusjuro will still be around long enough for them to have a rematch), or Dragon (who knew that having the Holy Knights make their move was they only for to begin the RA's next move)?
About 3) that's why I don't think the Elders are the final Straw Hat opponents. The matchups are just weird, and almost need to double up on a couple.
I think the Gorosei and Imu fall first, then in the chaos that Blackbeard thrives in he goes and tries to get Imu's Godly Zoan Fruit to finish off his trio, and so he can power up his own crew for the actual final fights between the Straw Hats and Blackbeards crew.
I will say when it comes to the Gorosei, Usopp will shoot down Mars like the myth of the Itsumade getting shot down by a great archer. Zoro has to fight the better named Kitetsu sword Ghandi has too, so to answer that part I'd guess Venus versus Zoro.
1: likely yes. She copied not only his appearance, but also several of his skills, but the regeneration, the summoning and immortality (possibly). She can stun enemies, read the mind of the other gorosei,flying by spinning her apendages, spiting explosive.

You should ask who becomes a God Knight if you didn't think Garling could be a Gorosei, because it should be someone very trustworthy and strong like CP0 agents. Lucci or his boss could move up.

I think the perspective that Oda is trying to point out is that sometimes in a society where you’re just trying to fit in not be the minority and again when I say this, it’s hard to understand when you’re not on the outside but sometime you have to step on somebody that’s on the inside in to get in inside when you’re in a minority for some will understand for others. I am of the belief that Garland is actually to be the traitor as well JB. Something to think about around Garlands relation to Imu, if Garland symbolizes the moon as some are theorizing then something should be noted on the relationship between the moon (Garland) & the sea (Imu) a closer connection than the other planetary bodies have. Also, doesn’t the moon have influence on the ocean (the ebb and flow of the currents) and not the other way around ? Could that mean Garland will have the biggest impact towards the goals of Imu or could this mean Garland himself is actually the potential traitor and is secretly working towards more power? He is a celestial dragon after all, which we’ve seen throughout the story to have self centered completely self serving agendas.

I do agree that Imu was a pirate, I had a theory a few months back. Where joyboy & xbec was the co captains, imu is joyboy 1st mate, they had a Davey back fight on pirate island and the 3 coins represented joyboy, xbec and imu.
It then became gods/pirates (joyboy) vs marines( xbec) vs demons (Imu), where Imu is actually the 1st devil fruit/demon inside a devil fruit. I’m still trying to figure out the crew for each of them, as they each had 11 members, which parallels Blackbeard crew,the planets & the hierarchy of the marines. After this chapter I don’t know what to believe anymore.
To support the theory of this not being the first time an elder was replaced, there was an "8." before Garling's full name, perhaps suggesting he's the 8th person to take the role.

What if IMU has King of monsters(living in hell) devil fruit. And in the final battle with IMU luffy is battling Imu but however couldn't defeat him. To defeat Imu one has to kill the king of monsters in hell. Which would be Zoro.

First, I liked the video as a whole but I have a separate theory about saturns death and that is imu not being able to give and take powers but that he used a conquerors haki si.ilar to shanks.
This could explain the goroseis dislike of their new member as they may see him as a threat to their existence.
It would also pave the way for some crazier theories oda style.
For instance if there are different variations then you could say the swords placed at imus throne have a different meaning. Maybe imu could control the kings with conquerors haki from a great distance through them.

That chapter was a fun ride. I took a bit of a break of a few weeks to let things cool off and I haven't been disappointed. This chapter and the one before where Kizaru finally showed anger in the story!!! Oh boy!!!
Imus ability might work similar to the strawman ability Hawkins has, but backwards(imu takes the damage ). If imu was made immortal he then could make people he links to himself also immortal.
