I honestly think Poehler doesn't appreciate her time on Conan. You hear countless stories of people who got their big break on Conan yet I don't think Amy has ever even mentioned this time once in any interview.
@@CarlosGarcia2 she has talked about it in subsequent interviews on conan in the 2000s, after her break on snl. she specifically said that these Stacey sketches helped paid her rent in these early days.

Amy started in improv in the early 90's and then went on SNL and they've always used cue cards as does Conan but who knows here, maybe just improv, either way she's in a class of her own.

True story: Stacy Richter was told to change her name to Amy Poehler becomes her agents were afraid her being the younger sister of Andy Richter would weigh down her career. It's amazing what Stacy/Amy has been able to do without her family's name. Andy and Amy's relationship reminds me of Jonah Hill and sister Beanie Feldstein and Warren Beatty and sister Shirley MacLaine.
