This is before Amy Poehler got famous on SNL. When she first appeared on SNL, my buddies and I were all saying "Hey, that's Andy's sister!"
SHE got famous on Upright citizens brigade.
When I seen her on UCB I was like "Hey! Good job Andy's sister!"
@@snap8626 SNL is a massive institution. She was barely known before SNL. Thus she got famous on SNL.
@@normanweiss3500 plebs cant be fixed.
sNap What a pretentious fuck, thinking that New York City improv means anything to people not into improv or those outside of New York. If it wasn’t for your first comment I’d think that you calling someone a pleb is facetious (because who the hell calls someone a pleb not jokingly) but I can tell you fully mean it.
Anyone else here from Andy Daly’s appearance on Conan Needs a Friend?
right here. :)
Yep!
August Lindt sent me.
Algorithm worked
You got me! :)
That guy in the back is doing some serious business. He looks like he is auditioning for the lead in Audience: The Movie.
It's so bad!!
This made me LOL so loud 😂
He won
Sadly he died reacting to a drug overdose.
For a second he looked like Jay Baruchel... til he started over acting.
PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE have Amy come on the show as Andy’s sister again, all grown up.
She is mature and speaks with poise, but slowly erodes into her rage-filled self.
Skit writes itself!!
Tim GREAT GREAT idea!!
We need to see the braces!
Start a go fund me
I think NBC may own the character :/
yes!!!!
It's kinda sad that Stacy's pro wrestling career never took off, she had a lot of potential with the way she talked.
She moved to Pawnee to pursue a life in politics
Yes, Stacy and Mean Gene Okerlund and Bobby The Brain Heenan would have been an awesome team at Wrestlemania
What was stacy's wrestling stage name??
Amy Poehler, the best pro wrestling manager there never was
Stacy has the best promos in the business. They rival Flair, Austin, Savage, and Johnson's!
Amy Poehler was so great in these sketches
@Yeah Right Nobody did.
@@SlightlierGravy sorry, I had asked him. My bad... ='(
@Yeah Right come on. that's exactly the base of this sketch
@Yeah Right Corny meaning trite, meaning 'lacking originality or freshness'? Tell me, how many other late night shows have you seen this type of skit on?
She is brilliant here and gives it 1000%!
She look like that girl from finding Nemo
True
Lol Darla
Conan is Nemo.
Fishy? FISHY! FISHYYY!
Well, when they inevitably make life action Finding Nemo I guess we have our Darla
@Onion Face NOW MAKE A 3D LIVE ACTION NEMO
LIKE LION KING WITH HER
*"I will pummel you like hailstones on a Honda"*
Amy Poehler was 26 when this was filmed, the same age Aubrey Plaza was when Season 1 of Parks and Recreation aired.
OMG! That explains EVERYTHING!
It's also the age Alexander the Great was when he succeeded Darius III to become Great Shah of Persia. But yeah, Aubrey's accomplishments are right up there....
It's also the age Einstein was when he published his special relativity theory, but sure, let's talk about Aubrey Plaza.
Eline Verstraeten : Don’t be dissing da Plaza! She my fave. ;)
It was the same age i had when i was 26. *mind blowing*
Lol Andy Daly and they mention Paul F Thompkins what a CBB episode lol
YESSS!
Uh. I think you mean “Paul [ ] Tompkins.” The lack of the “F” is deafening 🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣
I best know him as "ubiquitous podcast guest, Paul F Tompkins."
@@stanhumphries9519 that is fair
It’s hilarious how the band doesn’t intervene when Andy is chasing Max. Instead they just start playing background music. 😂😂😂
That’s because they’re professionals! 😂
come one, one interview with Amy Poehler.. It doesn't even have to be about plugging any of her stuff, just get her on the show again, Just ONCE!
I wouldn't mind a plug though, she's always got something going on
She's been on the show
She's been on the show before though lol, but it has been a while
Andy's voice is exactly the same as now.
So are most peoples.
@@MrRwk314 not really, Conan hasn't hit puberty at that point
I thought it sounded higher
"Comedian Paul Thompkins" literally the only time I've heard him referenced without the middle initial
I literally reminded to double check!!!
I too had a massive crush on Conan in the 90’s😂
Me too..
Stacy is that you????😂😂😂😂
It's even more impressive when you know she did it without cue-cards. She memorized everything because the cue-cards would've faced the audience, giving away the jokes.
Before she became a comedy legend….so amazing. How did I not see this character before?!
Amy Poehler is a national treasure
0:56 the guy behind geeking out 🤣
I freaking love Coco and his corny skits! 🧡😄💃🏾
This is a brilliant sketch. Well written and executed beautifully. Love!
Andy’s facial expressions are hilarious
Amy has an incredible yelling voice, as a performer. She's so grounded in it.
Dude I thought they came back for a surprise appearance to do her old skit.
They seriously should hahaha
Dude. Same.
Me too
Gawd... i remember watching this when it aired. i was late to first period so many times for staying up and watching connan! haha!
hear hear, but worth it everytime my friend!
Forgot how completely adorable she was. Thanks for the nostalgia.
0:11 Oh wow. This was before Paul F. Thompkins grew his middle initial. So young.
0:53 Andy and Conan blinked a few times at the same time
"Sure, why not?" Spoken like a real Rock n Roll drummer!
Jeneane Garofalo was his next guest. Talk about a 90's flashback.
rickythepilot Also the Rachel hair behind Amy.
Also the green bowling shirt on the guy with the aisle seat.
Yay, two insufferable talentless misandrists in a row. Pass lol.
That guy behind Stacy is having way too much fun.
3:52 guy in the green is planning his escape route in his head
😭😭🤣🤣
Not gonna lie he looks really familiar. I wonder if he got chose from this or was already an aspiring actor. Can we find where he is today?
Emmy performance!!
There is a universe where Amy Poehler is the most popular heel in professional wrestling history.
On a tag team with Chris Farley as El Niño
Her performance & delivery was PERFECT. Everyone else did well too.
Got damn i love this bit. Team coco you gotta bring back stacey
Stacey is now expensive to book.
@@doomdude69 stacey is also fat now.
@@RaceSpectator maybe a grown-up stacey
I remember I used love her in these sketches. When she came back for interviews, they would never mention anything about these skits. Still love them.
Superb quality that went unnoticed by many .... art is art no matter how many years pass 👍👍👍
*Size 4 foot up your side kick AYYYSSS* hhahahahhahahaha oh my god I can't
No wonder Leslie Knope is such a huge fan of Max Weinberg.
Everyone is only mentioning any, so I figured I’d mention that Andy Daly is also great
Damn Amy has changed A LOT
Yeah she got the braces off!
The comedic timing and writing here is fantastic!
Comedian Paul Tompkins! Before the F!
Came here to find this comment :) it would be neat to see that interview
@@IncongruityDetected I'm pretty sure he was just doing a set
Had to watch this after Andy Daly's latest CONAF appearance. So much fun!
I love Amy Poehler! They should bring her back to see if Stacy’s still In love with Conan after all these years
3:57 that guy in the back looking like he fell in love for the first time in his life 😂
I love these Andy's sister bits with Amy. This is my second time seeing this particular segment. The first time, I didn't know that it was Andy Daly playing her new boyfriend. They were both so young at this time and doing Upright Citizen Brigade. In the meantime Amy has obviously become quite a force in comedy. I have seen Andy in many things since UCB doing straight parts and also characters. IMO, Andy is ridiculously underrated. Maybe because he plays the straight character to a tee and "anyone can do that". However his character work is top notch and he has soooo many good ones. Some of his best were featured in the first season of Comedy Bang Bang tv series. This guy is a major talent and it is a shame that he has not broken through at this point. One thing for sure is that it is not due to lack of talent.
Edit: I always wondered how they did the braces & head gear thing. It totally looks legit and adds to the bit.
Have you seen Review With Forrest McNeil? Its a great show with Andy Daly
I literally found these clips today of these sketches and have been watching loads of them right before this was uploaded. Weird.. or maybe there was a connection with why they were recommended to me. They are great, some of the best ever.
Max scooped her like a champ.
Man I missed this. So glad they can share these oldies again.
“Your loving words rake the embers” 😂😂
So many years after it aired and I still have to say "SHE OWNS THIS CHARACTER!"
Who here misses Brian stack
Back here, it was really hard to see Conan(no real internet), but it was worth it! This was so different, everybody loved it. Thx Conan, Amy
"I hear the puberty bell-a-ringin'!" Oh--that killed me.
HOLY BLAST FROM THE PAST
Had a huge crush on amy back then when i watched this. I was 11
Wow this is one of the funniest shows of all time .. Conan's NBC run is legendary...he's the goat
Always thought this was a comedy goldmine. Hilarious. They should bring Stacey back.
Total T
I think it would be funny to have her be all mature and successful and giving the idea that she really is over him and they are just talking like mature adults...and then Conan spills coffee on his shirt and has to change it...and we see her twitching a little... really trying to contain herself. Or that could make her snap and attack him again.
No comment on that one…
Max was always such a great sport at being the goofball in these skits. And the fact that he could do it with a totally straight face was even more impressive.
After the podcast I had to re-watch this hahahaha
Why does Amy Poehler with that metal contraption in her mouth sound like Holly Hunter?
Man it's so funny seeing this all these years later
Awww, Ms. Knope in puberty, so cute!!
This video is Pure Gold.
Why is everybody talking about Amy Poehler? Max Weinberg is the star!
Jeremy Stig read that too fast... I read it as Max Weinstein...
@@micace9554 🤢🤢🤢
The best part is the guys yelling in the background audience: DO IT!
Max Weinberg was so great.
Man in green shirt reactions are just great. :) 3:44
He’s gay. You can tell how he claps.
he tried to do a scared audience member character but broke out laughing
4 Legends: Brian stack the writer of the sketch, Amy poehler and also Andy Daly, and of course Conan
*Where's the skit where she tackles Conan at his desk? That's where I fell in love with Amy Poehler. That took balls to commit to.*
I remember watching these live. She was awesome
This was awesome
"unless you want a size 4 foot up on the upside of your sidekick ass" LMAO
Andy Daly in the clip, and Paul (F) Thompkins getting a mention as a future guest! Super exciting for CBB fans.
I just know SNL saw this and said WE NEED THIS GIRL, STAT
It's weird to think that everybody in that audience is dead now.
Goalie Dave ...even weirder that you're responsible for their mortality
I might be missing the joke but this aired in 1997 lmao
@@killingmesoftly549 You are missing the joke. 16 people got it though.
Goalie Dave can you explain it to me then 💀
@@killingmesoftly549 This is just my interpretation: 1997 was long ago (~23 years ago), however it obviously not so long ago that everyone in the audience is dead.
But, when people look at old films (such as films made in the 1940s says), they often say things like "It's weird to think that everyone who acted in that film is dead now".
So, @Goalie_Dave 's comment was funny because it took a commonly used phrase, and applied it to a not so appropriate (but not completely inappropriate) situation.
Most of the young audience members were young looking, and are probably still alive today, but still, 23 years ago is a long time in some sense. So @Goalie_Dave 's statement- while not completely true- had a hint of truth to it. You could say it was "in the direction of truth".
"Dutchess of dorktonia" LOL
Amy phoeler is a really great performer. No wonder she made it
This is legit some of the funniest stuff Amy Poehler ever done. Very cool all these old Conan sketches are on UA-cam now.
I was rofl when she said "i can hear the puberty bell ringing" 😂 😂
Glad to know I wasn't confused when I was younger and these skits are actually as hilarious as I remember. Something hot about Amy Poehler 's insanity.
Gosh, I love Stacy! Lololol. These are some of favorite all-time skits!
3:44 the guy with black hair is probably having flashbacks to his highschool memories.
Jerry! Jerry! Jerry! XD
They should have done a spoof of the end of The Bodyguard movie and played the 'I Will Always Love You' song as Tracy ran down in slow motion to save Max haha
best sketches always involved Max and Joel!
Her acting it's so good XD
Her outfit’s actually really cute.
Same - love her jeans and sweater - haha it’s all coming back now
best sketch ever
2:59 Poehler spittin hot
Good piece!
Amy Pohler missed her calling in the WWE 😂😂😂
“Conan, you had your chance!” Lmao
She's a genius.
Conan hasn't been kidding about how silly his show was. It's endearing
His skits were hilarious
3:06 the guy saying "do it"
That’s not Andy Daly. That man got out of that sketch alive.
There's a window _right_ behind Conan!
OMG they all look so young and cute XD ...they are all so Incredible.
