Le futur de J Brunner est quasiment devenu notre quotidien ,quel visionnaire ! c'est le Jules Verne du 20 ieme siècle.

I rewatch the four episodes of this frequently. Why hasn't the BBC done a revival of this series when one of their top-rated shows, Doctor Who, is pure science fiction? (By the way, if someone could find the fifth episode, that would be awesome.)

Yeah, USA looks like the perfect ground for Brunner's misapplication of tech, and man, he did not mistake at all

@13:13 John says; "There is no profession (writer) really more _egotistical_ than . . . " How true, when you consider Vonnegut & Ellison and so many others who are contaminated by their own self-importance - rather not meet these writers personally and let each remain *_writers_* on the rim of pomposity.

@13:15 so, John - *printed* you were? A writer of your calibre should certainly know the 'scientific' terminology (ironically), which is the accurate and bona fide term that replaces your *printed* & so we have ; *IMPRINTING* (PAST TENSE- _IMPRINTED_ ) & this state of affairs refers to a critical period of time, very early in a life, when an animal forms attachments and develops a concept of its own identity. If there is no 'parent' then it imprints on the 1st available candidate (including an inanimate doll) - in the way of a gosling to a human - righto!
