As a life-long Southern Californian, I can attest that this is extremely accurate. Aside from some errant road signs, it's an absolutely flawless re-creation.

This is awesome mate, I adore the sound effect additions you've made. Was thinking, maybe including an indicator sound when the car is turning at an intersection (or even changing lanes)? Could just be a silly/pedantic suggestion but for example at 0:43 I wasn't sure if you were turning or going straight, would just add to the awesome immersion you've already created. Anyway, epic job Kynan, love all your work!
Damn, this gives me strong Los Angeles flashbacks, I didn't know it'd look so similar from street level, especially around 2:08, the downtown looks so similar to Los Angeles one around Staples center looking from 110. Great job, really

The quality of that was just so high; the radio, the sound effects of other cars passing or of the tyres on different types of road, honking horn when the car nearly rode over someone, the transitions to different volumes and effects when changing camera.... Auditory bliss, and such a beautiful scene to drive through. Thank you for that. Most relaxing 8 minutes I've had all week...

On Xbox when in picture mode and press Y you can place a car and drive it round with different types and also you can also go on foot as a person. No mods obviously as it’s Xbox

It's really touching to see how much city simulation games have advanced by now. It's incredible how you can now drive through a city you built with such realism. I still remember how fun and realistic SimCity 4 was (and still is!) and Cities Skylines has really taken the genre to a whole new level. Gotta play it now while we're all cooped up at home!
The transition between city and countryside was seamless, looks really good from street level
This was great. I had a smile on my face the whole time. Marble Mountain *is* a real place. I’ve been there. I hired a red Toyota twin cab HiLux ute and drove out to see the stunning scenery of the national park. (There was this weird Russian radio channel and I cracked up when a bloody Kiwi started reading the news!)
I am going to tell my grandchildren that this was Grand Theft Auto.
I know I’m responding to a two year old comment, but I think two dollars twenty could easily work in game development as a map designer for a game like GTA, or American Truck Simulator, or even a game like a Just Cause game or something like that. His attention to detail is excellent and amazing.

at this point, we can see if cities skyline had a driving simulator inside the game, like the old "street of simcity", that will be awesome, and we all can share our cities to enjoy the road.
People crossing with death wishes and the honking had me laughing like nothing else all week.
I have to say again, I LOVE these driving videos Sir! So cool to see the city from this level. I have stated using the idea in my own builds just to test my roads and intersections using first person camera so not as cool as yours but still useful honestly your waterfalls are so beautiful!! I love that area (though copper falls is still my favorite town)
These videos are always so peaceful, except when I remember if the person in the left (fast) lane goes as slowly as the truck in the video there would 100% be road rage.

This is wonderful, I could honestly watch these C:S road trip videos for hours. The changing radio was an especially nice touch.
That view driving from the last leg of the rural/suburban area over the bridge to the national park, and the park itself, was breathtaking. It was beautiful, detailed, and oozed the passion and love you put into this map. You are an inspiration and thank you for inspiring so many other CS players like me to try our best to be creative and inspired in this game.

Definitely need to do some TPME lane management action on the freeway junctions, when they first got on the freeway and went straight into lane 4, I nearly pooped myself hehe. Loving these road trip videos though.

Just when I thought I have seen it all, I saw this. This is really the best video and most beautiful city I have ever seen made in Cities Skylines.
I was getting a touch of a GTA feeling, but with less aggression, more calmness... until that _insane_ entry onto the highway. Then it was, "yeah, that's definitely more GTA".

6:50 that waterfall is the relaxing moment. That reminds me back when I was 5. I always looking up the waterfall with an old lady (my neighbor) at sunset, she always tell me to go home before 6 PM. We only met each other for a year. Then i moved back to my hometown.
