Another video with great info! When I buy frozen food in those larger boxes, and am short of freezer space, I just remove the heavy plastic bagged food from the box and much less freezer storage room is required.
Your Por(ketta) meal looked better than our Christmas dinner! Those pulled pork sandwiches looked wonderful also. I love watching the creative ways you repurpose the leftovers, too, I think that's a real art form. 🍔
You got some great deals & as always your meals looked delicious! I think the little package in with the dill pickle salad is dried dill pickle crumbles, if I remember from the last time I bought it. It’s my favourite salad!
LOVED the video! You are so lucky that you are both like minded when it comes to shopping, recipes, food tastes etc . Just wish I could get those wings in Buffalo 😉
Fantastic deal on the Lysol! Can’t believe all of that, with so much nonfood items, for only 160. Actually can’t believe you got out of Costco for under 100. 😂
Hello from Manitoba! I don't usually watch grocery videos, but yours are 'food for thought, see what I did there? Enjoying your videos so much that I subscribed! Happy Thanksgiving ❤
What a great grocery shop! My hubby likes the compliments brand chicken wings the best (I’m not a big lover of wings. I can take them or leave them). We got him his faves this week buy 2, get one free at Sobeys. Oh, ham is on sale at Sobeys this week 1.49 a pound. Your meals look so good and the salsa looks delish! Thanks for the salsa recipe. Have a fantastic weekend!
@darleneprice6467 I popped into my local Sobeys and they didn't get their ham order. The staff said they were held up at the border. I thought BORDER??? Why are we getting our meat from over the border? Weird.
I enjoy seeing what you buy and how you use it to make delicious meal. I didn't make salsa this year, for the first time in about 20 years because I made double the amount last year. Yesterday I picked 4 cabbages from our garden so today I am making bottled coleslaw from two of the cabbages which we will enjoy over the winter. With the other two , I will make a very small batch of sauerkraut. Tomorrow I'll make tomato rhubarb ketchup and preserved apple pie filling and then hopefully...my preserving will be finished this year except ....if I can get some grapes to make juice. 😅
Your pantry must be nice and stocked up. You will do well in an emergency. 🚨 Hurricane season is here I think and I like to have a full pantry just in case. ❤🎉😊
@@adventuresingroceryland for myself the 900g pasta from shoppers for 0.83. For you those dog treats were a great deal, especially for such a big package.
I’d love for you to talk in a video about how you track your inventory, particularly in your freezer (eg do you keep a handwritten list or on your phone or just your brain?!) I’ve been trying different methods but would love tips. Thanks!
@Cmw22 Mostly brain! Ha. That is only so effective. I find the best way is to re-organize the freezer occasionally. That refreshes my memory on everything. I have an upright freezer so that makes it much easier for me to see daily, what's in there.
This week PC optimum had an offering for every 30 dollars on cat food receive 5000 points, I can also receive an extra 4500 (exclusive points) and if I buy friskies I can get an extra 4000 points. That is 13,500 points on just 30 dollars. Those optimum points paid for all our small appliances, metal shelving units (they went on for 50 dollars each) our eye glasses and Christmas several times over.
I have spent a bit more this last month but I’m stocking up goodies for the holidays and buying produce for canning up soups and sauces. I got some pumpkin oat creamer last week and have been enjoying it a lot!🎃
I used to love the optimum program before Shoppers was bought. I don’t like it as much since the ‘takeover’ 🤪 Just isn’t a place I go to often anymore and find the points take forever to grow. I used to save them up and do half or more of my Christmas shopping…ah the good old days. I tend to do Save On More points way more now. Just a better way to capitalize on my shopping, personally. No matter where you get it…free is always good!
@sandiedrew4086 I really enjoy it. It's oat creamer so it doesn't hurt my belly. Win-Win. It makes my coffees taste like the fancy ones from the coffee shop.
I’m with your husband when it comes to saving the pc optimum points for Black Friday, and other bonus redemption events through out the year. I like picking up luxury items I would probably not buy, but really like to have. I did do a redemption online at Shoppers, and took a screenshot of the bonus points, but never got them. I contacted customer support numerous times but never got them. The program has changed, and I never bought for the purpose of collecting points. With the changes I buy what I want/need and any points I collect I see as a bonus. If I never swiped the card I would get none. I don’t think I will ever carry a really high points balance again.
@@adventuresingroceryland I contacted the customer service to report missing points and I sent the screenshot of the points. It was $25 in points, because it was during a bonus redemption event. They only gave me the base points earned at the time of purchase. I read it can take up to 6 weeks for the points to show up,. It’s going on 8 weeks now, and after multiple emails of flat out refusals I doubt I will ever get them. I’ve never had any problems with missing points being added when I shopped in store. This happened with an online purchase.
I did!!! Thought it was amazing to get 50% off anything in store! Plus points back on any in store points offers. So they didn’t have electronics I wanted at ant stores around except a phone that I did get. Phone was 127.00 so paid $63 for it and there was 50,000 points back making it .$13 plus the taxes on 127 so basically $32 fir a phone which I’ll use for back up and just as a mini tablet. Then I added some groceries and a heating pad so I used 150,000 points which doubled and git over 300 in product and got 59 back in points. It was amazing. I got the extra points on the buy two stove top and two gravy’s and a deodorant . It felt weird , the store was not busy, it was afternoon. I only seen one other person that seemed to be getting a lot of things in her cart. But after I got out and realized how cheap what I bought was, I wished I had bought more. Lol this deal has never happened before. I made sure my purchases were on sale etc too so like butter I bought 6 and only paid 2.79 each!😳😂. Oh it was great! I still have points for Black Friday. 😅
