Merry Christmas Melanie and the handsome one! Sounds like you’re going to have a wonderful week of special meals with family! My girlfriend and I get together this time of year and do a massive bread making day and she gives away the a wonderful variety of specialty breads for Christmas gifts! The cheese filled ones are some of my favorites! You can’t have too much cheese 🧀 😆 My husband smokes salmon and cheese in the fall just for the holidays… it’s easy and makes great gifts also! I hope everyone has a wonderful holiday and looking forward to the next year’s grocery challenge!🌲
Smoked cheese, that sounds extremely interesting! I'd love to hear more about that process. I'm also extremely curious about cheese filled breads. These sound like wonderful traditions. Merry Christmas.
You crushed it, as usual. 😊 I could swear that the Johnsonville sausage rounds used to be 375g. So they were essentially shrinkflated. That smoke flavoured cheese really slaps. As the kids say. 😛 And surprisingly not as salty as some others. I also love the mac & cheese blend in the purple bag, some of the least amount of sodium for a blend with cheddar in it. The shredded ones all freeze so beautifully too.
I just made my little sausage patties. They are cooking now. They were way less labour intensive than I expected. Hopefully, they cook alright. I'm still wound up about the cheese. Ha.

Today I set up my budget and after Christmas am opening a new account just for groceries and will each week spend around $31-35 taking into account some will be for prep items and some will be household. I also have to travel for medical once a month so I have given myself a separate amount for that. Keeping it all as low as possible. The cheeses were a great deal as they should last for 3 months ? Happy Holidays

No, you are not crazy - it was the week of the cheese. This is what I did: Tops had Kraft Fusion cheese on sale for $2.00 (normally $4.79) - Ibotta had an offer $1.25 back (limit 5). I bought 5 at $.75 each. THEN 24 hours later the offer came back and I bought another 5 so I have 10-8 Oz blocks of cheese for $7.50 when the regular price was $4.79 each. How could I not??? The 3 flavors to choose from were Buffalo Ranch, Tomato Basil and Garlic Herb. Exp dates all next March. If you’re crazy, then so am I 💃🏻
