Great Video!! I just picked up a 207 for my 29 gallon community fish Planted tank . I use the same Aquarium experts double layer pad and polishing pads. Great Stuff! Stuck a double layer pad on top of Fluvals bottom pad then filled middle filled with Matrix with a double layer pad underneath then the top bay a little more matrix then polishing pad then purigen on top. My tank does not look like it has water in it!! Didn't use Fluvals Carbon or Phosphate pad or there bio media. I like Matrix and it is proven in my tank. The 207 replaced my old Fluval C3 that did a good job but was time for a Canister. Put the C3 in my closet for emergencys.

Always pays to have a backup. I always have spare motor assembly’s. Just in case. From experience, it happens at the least convenient time.

Once upon a time, In the 80s, I hated them, just awful. Now I love them.

Hi, i know what the paper says, but do you think this 103 can run a 75G tank with only an arowana and a pleco? The little guy is just too cute to pass! Thanks and regards!

It should in theory. You will have a little over a turn over per hour. Water testing will be priority along with water changes, depending on tests. Performance outweighs cuteness.

@@RollingTardis thanks for the advice, you're right performance outweigh cuteness. I just purchase a 307.. Also i was thinking to install a aeration tube to the output area to help with some bubble production, any suggestions to where it should be install? Or any particular brand that carry what i need? Thanks!

The best aeration tube is, the fluval spray bar, for the output on the filter. And have the spray going up toward the surface and across. Bubbles does almost nothing for aeration, they are a visual pleasure for humans. The turbulence at the surface is where all the action happens. I run spray bars on my 106 and 406.

@@edwin_cho The spray bar kit is w/out a doubt a great way to promote oxygen exchange so its a no brainer , for the size of the tank your 75 gallon is great for Arowana to get through the first few months and that's also your time to double up for the next aquarium or better ( 210 gallons + then the 75 g could be a perfect sump
      !!!
Great fish but as you know they grow and love to jump !!!

I am a big fan of the spray bar and I will always have a few in my aquariums but it might not be the best for all , I am going to make a suggestion that is not expensive and ☑ the boxes from your comments. EHEIM power diffusers are not new but they are not well known in my 30+ years in the hobby. If you want to see the item I have a video that I can say should make it easier to know if it is worth the $

I'd bet any amount of money that LoQuisha who works at the pet store couldn't tell you what half that stuff does.

Funny you bring that up. Not finding exactly what I wanted in fish, I picked alternatives. One such was an Opaline Gourami. The tank was labeled, Blue Gourami, the attendant called it a Blue Gourami and rang it up as such. I almost said something, but declined, since It was my first visit to the Fish Room. Perhaps, when I revisit, if I see that particular fish mis labeled, I'll say something.

@@RollingTardis That depends. If "Blue Gourami" is cheaper than "Opaline Gourami", it would be wise to not say anything.

At the time, the store did not have any (True) Blue Gourami, just Opaline, marked as Blue. My best guess, their vender, prices the Blue, Opaline and Gold Gourami the same price. Just an oversight.
