Then mayfield and kyler Murray. The mechanics fall second fiddle to football IQ, and specific mechanics that make the QB unique. Baseball players, with their talent to throw at different angles, off balance, on the run, in mid air, etc. Graham harrell in my opinion, is the epitome of what leach was trying to achieve and develop at tech. High football, mechanics and reads to bail him out, enough talent with the arm to execute. So intelligent in football IQ, graham could coach defense with his knowledge of coverages. I simply love how much mike leach’s impact is seen from high school to the nfl. What a revolution leach made:

If you ask the Cognoscenti they'll tell you that his branch of Veer and Shoot Football is different, but what he got from Leach was the Spacing, wide O-Line Splits, and smart repetition training habits. The way to understand Briles is like this: Veer Running attack from his time playing for Bill Yeoman at Houston + Vertical passing attack and some option routes from watching Jack Pardee coach a Run and Shoot at Houston after he graduated + Air Raid Spacing and practice techniques from being the RB coach at TT = Briles Veer and Shoot.
