You missed out on the first-time watching experience of not understanding what's going on because it plays on all our assumptions built up through years of watching and reading sci-fi and horror. Watching it the first time is actually really scary and creepy, a very different experience to subsequent watchings, so you've missed out on a real experience.
New to the channel. I am liking the content, context, and all around "feel" of your channel.I know it will be buried under other comments, but thank you and keep up the good work.
Just re-watched this movie last night and had to re-watch the rumination afterwards. Granted, this is several years old at this point, but I'm still glad you got to enjoy this film and share your thoughts.
I've always imagined Moon, Soldier, Blade Runner, and Cloud Atlas as in the same universe. I mean that in a good way actually, watch them all together and it creates a fascinating universe around this theme.
I find the thought of the contract breach you had right at the end fascinating. If you are a clone, are you bound to anything the original did? Would you be responsible for crimes commited by your clone, or maybe who made the clone? Fascinating and terrifying.
The Man from Earth is way more engaging because it has constant dialogue exchange, but I still enjoyed Moon a lot. It had a very compelling promise and themes it wanted to talk about. Maybe it could have elaborated more on the deep themes it had the potential to, but it still did a great job.

There is a movie called Mute (2018) by Duncan Jones where in one scene you can see the Sam Bell trial on a tv in the background. Just FYI

Just saw this and I can't wait to watch this later! One of my favorite films.
You never appreciate background noise until your ears start tuning into the bubble noise from your soda can.

I'm a big fan of this movie. It has a killer soundtrack, as well.
loved this. would love to see you delve into more art house / psychological thrillers.
Like or Dislike: Like. This movie's in my top ten, and the Rumination enhanced my appreciation of it.

Then you should watch Mute as well.

Rumination on "Alien Visitor" would be nice.
Rumination on "the man from earth" whould be nice
Good film, second one... not so much
I'd be fascinated to see your thoughts on "Whistle", the short film packaged with Moon on the DVD.
I would say that this film doesn't have so much "twists" as it has reveals. They don't change the story so much as they expand the setting.
So Lunar Industries are EA?
Have you ever watched The Fugitive? 1993 with Harrison Ford and Tommy Lee Jones and it’s probably my favorite movie
It was directed by Bowie'e son.
6 takes a can of H3 with him. Unless the corporation takes it from him, he lived his 3 years very rich
so Mute next?
You know, it's funny, I've watched The Man From Earth, I've watched S.U.M.1 but I was never able to finish this movie, it's just so boring to me.
