    I got mine a week ago and today I started removing protective plastics from pickups and noticed that pickups were wrong positions from the factory. Fluence Ceramic was in the neck (should be a bridge) and Fluence Alnico was a bridge (should be in neck). Have you faced the same issue or someone else...The guitar itself was good value, except for wrapper removal.

    Hi, thanks for your video on this guitar very helpful, just one question since I am planning to buy this one after watching your video, it has ABR-1 bridge, I wish it had Nashville bridge for more low tunings, I am normally on drop C or drop D, want to know if it stays well on intonation?

    On Handy I here almost no difference in sound despite voicing or coil splitting.

    Epiphone Matt Heafy Les Paul Custom Origins vs Epiphone Les Paul Custom Origins
    What are the main differences (trying to understand the $200 price difference, and accoedingly make a decision to buy one or the other..which suits me) Thanks

      Do you mean the Les Paul Prophecy vs Matt Heafy Origins? In that case the main differences are the neck profile, frets, and pickups. The Prophecy has Jumbo frets vs medium, 24 vs 22 frets, slightly thicker asymmetrical neck profile vs slim (more so than slim taper), and Fishman Fluence Prophecy vs Matt Heafy Signature Fluence. The Heafy comes with a hardshell case ($150 add on) where doesn't come with a case. Add the case in and the cost is nearly identical. I think it comes down to a choice between neck profile and fret size/number.

      @@pickingpower But appreciate sharing the differences of the prophesy and Matt Heafy's signature model.

      @@pickingpower The Pickups are pretty much the same in the Prophecy and Heafy model. The only difference is the passive selection. The prophecy is a Fishman modern set with the passive selection being based off of burstbuckers. And the Heafy model besides the gold stripe are Fishman moderns with a Heafy tweaked passive selection

    Does anyone know how the NEWer MKH Origins compares to the first MKH Custom???

    • @toblessedtobestressed9107
      @toblessedtobestressed9107 Місяць тому

      The first MKH Custom is a more traditional style Les Paul. Besides the cutaway for upper fret access. It has no belly cut and has a traditional slim taper neck on it. Where the newer origins model has a slim modern style neck (slimmest you'll find on any Les Paul) it also has a belly cut. The body is not as thick as the original MKH. It's more like a ESP Eclipse style body. And it has Fishmans instead of EMGs

    I saw this and wanted to know, besides metal, is this a guitar that would be good for rock, blues or other genre?

    • @pickingpower
      @pickingpower  11 місяців тому +1

      I'd say it would be good for other styles. Rock for sure. Maybe heavier blues rock stuff too. A lot of it has to do with dialing back the gain on the amp. The active pickups tend to push the signal a lot more so getting super clean tones like on low output pickups you'd probably have to roll off the volume.

      @@pickingpower The Epiphone Les Paul Custom vs this guitar?

    • @pickingpower
      @pickingpower  8 місяців тому

      @@Bronco2Cj Main differences are the neck profile and the pickups. This neck is definitely slim in comparison even to the slim taper of the epiphone explorer. The pickups are also very different.

    Love this guitar but when u have such big blocks u get no Ebony just plastic fret markers bummer I would rather have different markers with more ebony to play on ❤
