I agree with it even though my son signed up and he went into the Marine Corps I strongly agree with it I think every young man needs to go into some type of military especially if they are in these streets doing horrible things
7 years ago when my son turned 18, he got a notification by mail to register.
People don't want to die in a war that doesn't benefit them. We just came out of a pointless 20 year war and what do we have to show for it? The U.S. has bases all over the world for "strategy" and dominance yet we gave up afganistan which is filled with natrual resouces. Which was taken by the taliban and chinese. I'm not saying I don't support troops, I do. And I dont think getting into the military is bad but the government cant force people to go to a war they essentially created and expect people to be happy and willing to do it.
I don’t think the military/government expects anyone who is being forced into their wars to be happy or willing. They only draft people into war when they utterly have to. The U.S can’t afford to seem like they’re out of troops because that alone will show China and Russia that the U.S is weakening within their powerful military, therefore they will likely try to start war officially against the U.S. although Russia and China weren’t the same problem in the equation today vs during the Vietnam war.

Demetrius, I think they're talking about people who hold dual citizenship, but choose to reside in a different country rather than in the USA. Some people do that. The reasons very: family, business, etc.
Also, I too would like to fuck shit up. 100% agree with the Marine mentality on that one! Unfortunately, I'm too old to be a Marine, so I'm going Army.

Do you think its worth having some sort of national/community service after high school? It doesnt mean it has to be military, but working for your community for a short period.
