Great to see you working and inspiring these young men and women to put on the uniform and be that next generation of defenders of our nation. As a teacher and vet, I love to see it. People drag this generation but these motivators are going to do great things.
Just ran into your video by chance. Walked into the office in January waiting to join but because of my age i had to do navy. But here i am working along side the marines 8 months later . RAH STAFF SARNT
Funny story my friend, I knew nothing about the Marines but joined after 9/11 to go fight. I've really been a detached from the USMC ever since I got out. However, I actually enjoyed your video. It's really weird to see guys like you who are Staff NCOs with no Iraq campaign, Afghanistan campaign or combat action ribbon but I get it. It's been a long time since we were over there. It's hard to believe that most of the people I served with are now out or retired. It's like watching the next generation.
My recruiter never lied to me - there were hoops to jump thru, objectives to meet, in order to get what I requested. I suppose if those were not met, even if by injury, my contract could have changed for the needs of the Corps. You must know that.
@@AONIXO remember me😂from camp Pendleton to Okinawa back to mcrd for recruiting to where ur now. Last time was with Shane McCrea. I'm the one who likes all ur skits🤣🤣🤣. One on the way I see. Congratulations
Recruiting duty seems skate to me ik it’s times when it’s rough like every job but don’t seem too bad I’m debating on recruiting duty or detachment cmdr
I was a Marine recruiter from 01 to 04 Hartford CT. A lot of kids just want to hang around the office because they may not want to be home or have anything going for them. A safe space I guess. I didn’t mind poolees hanging out. I would have them bring their friends in so I could possibly recruit them. That’s how it works sometimes
@@cbs1219 Same thing when I was an Army Recruiter from 94-97. My DEPs liked to hang out at the office from time to time. I put them to work and they were a huge source for leads that turned into making mission and mission box many times. I recruited in an urban area and many of the DEPs had bad home life and looked at the Army as a new start and as a family. I've been retired now since 2010 after having served for 22 yrs to include many deployments down range to Iraq & Afghanistan. There are people I put in Army that have made it to Sergeant Major and a few Field Grade Officers too. I feel old... Damn. Lighting 7 1SG(Ret) Roger out...
@@aesonmoritz2100 Nice. Yea same. Off recruiting duty to three tours in Iraq. Medically retired as a Gunnery Sergeant in 09. Recruiting duty was different but very rewarding to see the kids come back from bootcamp.
