  • Making an infinity mirror (Also known as LED illusion mirror) clock using an old wall clock, a led strip and some wood.
    Limited tools such as a cordless drill, drill bits, pliers and a screwdriver is all we need to make this project come to life.

    I have done this . Awesome . Cant stop stare to this . I am doing some improvements : using a small 2 amps power supply and also including a dimmer(with remote controller) to adjust brightness .

    UA-cam is amazing. In 80s and 90s decades as most of the African countries was in war or just ended it. everything made in Europe and america was very new, special and expensive when it arrived in Africa. Today I am seated in my house having the source of most genius ideas and knowledge from very expertise men.

      +Matthieu Freund-Priacel (Primatt) Hi, there are lots of people saying the same thing on the comments. Well I had to drill through a thin strip of wood and I had to apply preasure on it from the other side while drilling. It looks on the vid that it was really close and it was but I knew where my fingers were at the time. Thank you for your comment and for watching my video.

      No problem :p But try to use some plier or a spare stick of wood, would be bad if you hurt yourself ^^
      Anyway, great work !

    I would rather use aluminium instead of wooden / synthetic strips because of heat conduction.

      +bestamerica Hi, there is no special reason for this, although it would be a good idea to cut small rectangular pieces of glass and glue them on the mirror. Maybe on the next one. Thank you for your comment.

      80s ROCK hehe. I know it looks like that on the video, I got a few comments about that. I suppose it has to do with the angle of the camera. Thank you for your comment.

  • @Real0Nighto

    u actually dont need a power supply to power this led strip only a capacitor and a bridge rectifier will do the job from main 120 or 220ac to 12 dc , easier , much cheaper and smaller

  • @mikkeysean

    • @FSWoodworking
      @FSWoodworking  7 років тому

      +Mikkey Sean Hi thanks for your comment. I could but not the one I have on the video. This was too bulky to hide it behind the clock. There are slimmer adaptors that you can hide behind the clock.

      Barry Fields The reason I didnt show the process was just because I got the mirror predrilled. I also mention that on my previous comments. It is just a special hole saw for glass and mirror in the drill press. Also water helps to keep the glass cool so it does not break.

      +Hellboy SRB I dont think so because then you would not be able to see the time whith the leds off. Now you can
