The Sakkusu Bass Saxophone represents excellent value for money. Bass saxophones usually cost in excess of £15,000 but we're offering our new Sakkusu Bass at an unbelievable price, allowing this huge saxophone to finally become accessible instrument!
Sakkusu: Hey can I borrow your homework?
JinBao: Sure just change it a little
Sakkusu: *changes logo*
Haha good one Jared!
Bass saxophone is always my favorite.
Contrabass
such a great sounding instrument
Contra is cool but bass is probably the lowest one that has agility and clarity.
average bass sax fan vs the average every sax enjoyer
alto for me
1:11 that’s what she said
Mirage From apex legends yes it was
The Selmer mouth piece at the end sounds much cleaner and less raspy in the mid/upper registers to me judging by that short clip. Much better IMO. More resonance...less squawk.
he starts playing at 4:53. thank me later
You're welcome
When can I thank you
When am I allowed

When he said 400 pound bass I thought he meant weight 😳😳
That’s the joke
lol...
Maxophone 52 no it’s not a joke. They call their dollars “pounds”
Same, stupid imperial system😆
I thought the same thing for a second
Great to finally see a bass being featured again. 🎷 I do wonder how this would compare to an International Woodwind Model 661 Bass Saxophone.
They are they same Chinese bass
Me, a resident of the United States: 4,000 Ib Bass Sax?!?!?!
British Pound: Am I a joke to you?
I have had mine since last November. Love it!
Me, a trombone player:
UA-cam: Sakkusu Saxophone
Me, a saxophone player
UA-cam: want to see some piano and violin videos?!
Im a trombone player as well
Me: is a tuba player
UA-cam: I SAID WE PLAYING SAX
UA-cam is trying to make multi-instrumentalists out of all of us
Wow ! Very nice for that price ! I have the usual SAT & B horns . I played bass saxophone in a college sax ensemble about 40 years ago and had a ball ! It was an old Vintage Bass from like the 1920’s I think!
Harry Reser, a 1920s bandleader, often used bass saxes in his recordings.
I want one. I just moved from clarinet to Tenor and one of those would be sick.
My school, depite having 2000 pupils has no Tenor players, so when I started Tenor some pupils decided it was time to make a saxophone choir (currently quartet). Imagine if I saved up and learned one of these...
Would you be the one who has to schlep it to school, though? Playing it = fun. Carrying it = not fun.
charlie p,
carrying it ≠ fun
carrying it = funny
How did your school not have a tenor player before? Tenor is the most versatile and important sax behind alto
Michael Dietz well theyre all altos. literally 5 minutes ago i was trying to persuade my friend who was going from clarinet to saxophone to do tenor and NOT alto
@@jonnylpenman Does he also play bass clarinet? I went from Bb clarinet to alto because of jazz band, then skipped tenor and went straight to bari (which made my tone and ability really bad on tenor). Tell him that tenor will be much easier to learn reading music (I never thought there was a difference between Bb and Eb, but whatever gets him to do tenor right). Us doublers got to stick together. How many clarinets and saxes does your school have anyway?
Sounds much better with the bass mouthpiece. Beautiful
Very helpful video. Thanks!
Cool, really want one
YES A FRESH BASS SAX VIDEO!
Hertzy Bertzy: Isn’t that cool? 🤗
You could play some really funky Motown back-up with that!
woah cool
Damn, what a price, that’s quite intresting!
Out of all the more recent videos you have made on Sakkusu saxes Soprano, Alto, Tenor, Bari and this Bass, you also left out a video on the Sakkusu C Melody, could you do a video on it next and the Sakkusu Deluxe Curved Soprano as well?
Every saxophone section should have at least one of these. Waaaay to many alto and tenors out there. Not enough bari and almost no bass. Criminal.
Would really like if you could compare the different reeds and mouthpieces for this. There's not a lot of choices for bass and you usually find Vandorren, Rico or Legere. I'd like to hear the alexander classique, marca bass reeds, and the "my masterpiece" ones.
Try, "Flight of the bumblebee" awesome little tune.......
Sacrilegious
@@michaeldietz7793 If you can play it slowly, you can play it quickly
❤️
March with that
It’s so low but cool
Is there any saxophone where middle D doesn't want to be sharp? I have to add the low B key on my King Super 20. Middle E is even worse.
probably not
kochi 3 of some notes are Sharp the tone hole must be at a wrong place can they not place it lower on the body if its to sharp
@@tedtedsen269 have you ever played on a saxophone that does not have a sharp middle D? And if you did play on one, was the low D in tune?
kochi3 i hav a soprano alto bari and tenor but i dont play anymore they are dustcolecters but i fixed that problem on my soprano they are way out of tune i used my ALTO reed on my soprano and octave matched great even at my tuner but haven't tested it on tenor bari or bigger horns
ted tedsen but my lower register is in tune. The D isn’t a problem now. The E I still have problems with. I played this horn years ago with no problems. Therefore the problem is me.
Which Dixieland band in the UK uses a bass saxophone?
What’s the case like?
6:44 I like the pun
Great sound. Are these available in the U.S?Is the price 4,000 pounds,or 4,000 dollars?

Cool
Does anyone know the weight and height of a bari sax I am a fairly short 12 year old and would like to know if I’m big enough I’m 4,4
R & A Productions I’d say wait a few years to get taller, because if a typical bass sax is around 3 feet and you’re 4’ 4”, you’d be a foot taller than the sax and playing it would be uncomfortable.
@@lil0of Would be too uncomfortable, I’ve seen Bass saxes that are 4 feet tall lol
Mom I need money for college
Mom: okay go learn
Actually buys bass saxophone like a boss
BASS
But does it have low a?
Whoever’s watched this and also bought one, is it a good sax like they say?
please make your site available to the USA, saxophones are expensive
we use $dollars
Randall Mathews They do...
おお!さかな君でお馴染みのバス(魚)サックスだなw
What’s the lowest note for bass sax, is it b flat or a
Most are Bb, but a few with low A exist.
Yeah I have a Levante bass and it's down to low Bb
Typically a Bb, but some have a low A
Are there any benefits to a bass mouthpiece over a bari mouthpiece?
Tristan Voitcu: Very well said.
Now I know why I play the Flute.
It's a tad lighter...!! 🤣🤣
Does it have a low a key?
No, listen to the other video on their site ua-cam.com/video/9iKyH02HHGw/v-deo.html The lowest note with all the pads closed is a concert Ab (not G).
Although I hadn't seen a bass sax out in the wild with a low A, they do exist. Check out the details here - www.wwbw.com/Selmer-Paris-Model-56-Bass-Saxophone-H73697-H73697000001000.wwbw but then buy it here - www.sax.co.uk/selmer-series-ii-bass-saxophone-gold-lacquer.ir for only $26k / £23k!
Does anyone know what "Aux key A" means in this listing, btw? www.wwbw.com/Levante-BBb-Bass-Saxophone-in-wheeled-case-K41366-K41366000000000.wwbw Maybe this horn also has a low A. I can't tell where the low C# tone hole & pad are on these horns.
charlie p “Only $26k”
Yeah ok
Not a bad price at all. I still would have to sell my pickup truck, though...
does this sax have a low A key?
Bass saxes only go to low Bb
@@BigSlappaman Some, not all. There are exceptions that do indeed go below Bb and to low a
Is this what Colin Stetson plays? I think it is.
I can attest to the weight of this thing. I play a conn bass saxophone that I play with a standard neck strap. I threw one of these on a neck strap for 5 minutes and thoroughly fucked up my neck.
I do not like the narrow sound of bari mouthpieces and bass. I wouldn't put a tenor mouthpiece on my bari because I could manage it so I wouldn't pervert the bass tone by substituting a bari mp on to a bass.
Is this lower or higher than a bari?
It’s lower of course
One octave below the tenor
Unlike the bari, which is one octave lower than the alto
@@toastboi5106 is a bass lower or higher than a bari. And what is a tenor?
@@conradbreitfeller3841 bass saxophone is lower than baritone saxophone. tenor is probably the most common saxophone and usually what comes up when you think of a saxophone
It sounds great? Four thousand squid? too good to be true surely?
BL3 > 5C
A Selmer, or this, and I still can afford a place to live....?
why is it at such a low price though?
they'll let you pay more if you ask them really nicely!
;)
That’s because they want to make it available to some ppl so they aren’t like the cost of a car (15k+)
@@toastboi5106 there is also no competition at that price point, so they are serving a market that they have to themselves. If they can make it even decent quality at that price, people will pull the trigger just to have the experience of owning one because there is not a used equivalent either at that price (my guess, I haven't looked at the market, but I assume it would be rather slim).
"Accessible" but it still costs more than my car
Haha, it's just "sax" in Japanese Wasei-eigo
4000 pounds is referring to Euros
the most Wasted 24k dollars ever! :D
this costs $5000 US which is actually less than 1/5 the price of a typical bass saxophone (or maybe you spent 24k on a selmer or something)
I want Davie504 to play it!
Hey! How come my bari sax costed $6,000 and this costs $4,000? And this is a bass saxophone!
Random ass edit: And how come other ones on your website are like $25,000
it sounds cool but it hurts my ears. . .
日本人は?ーーーいますかーーー?
Might sound like an ass, but Chinese made things have all been stolen. This Chinese thing will obviously be a gamble, if you buy it. I really like these guys, but don't order a Chinese sax online. Their bottom of the line. Invest, don't waste your money. He is being very nice.
