特徵：
虹膜褐色。雄鳥嘴淡角質黄色，雌鳥嘴鉛輝色。腳紅色。
雄鳥體長77公分。全身大致暗藍色，有光澤。頭上有白色羽冠，臉部裸皮、肉垂鮮紅色，上背白色，下背至尾上覆羽暗藍色，肩羽紫紅色，翼暗褐色，羽緣藍色，尾羽甚長，黑褐色，中央二根白色。喉、胸、腹黑褐色。
雌鳥體長55公分。臉部裸皮紅色，背面大致紅褐色，密布黃褐色三角形斑塊。胸部、腹部黃褐色，由深而淡，密布淺黃色三角形斑塊。
分布：
台灣特有種鳥類。分布於台灣中、低海拔的原始闊葉林、混生林，以及竹林底層中。

Feature:

The male bird is 77 cm long. The whole body is generally dark blue and shiny. There is a white crest on the head, the face is bare skin, the wattles are bright red, the upper back is white, the lower back to the tail coverts are dark blue, the shoulder feathers are purple, the wings are dark brown, the feather edge is blue, the tail feathers are very long, dark brown, The two central ones are white. Throat, chest and abdomen dark brown.
The female is 55 cm long. The face is bare red, the back is roughly reddish-brown, densely covered with yellow-brown triangular plaques. The chest and abdomen are yellowish brown, from dark to pale, densely covered with light yellow triangular plaques.
Distributed:
Taiwan's endemic bird species. It is distributed in primitive broad-leaved forests, mixed forests, and the bottom of bamboo forests at medium and low altitudes in Taiwan.
