      I hated pads for the longest time, they made me feel disgusted with myself for some reason. In my home growing up we didn’t really talk about periods, it wasn’t normalized in our home, moving in with my best friend her and her whole family they talked about periods with no shame, like it’s a normal subject, as it should be, this made me more comfortable talking about it. As I get older pads are just a more realistic option for me personally especially constantly being on the go with my twins. There is also less chance of toxic shock syndrome, which should be talked about more in school to teach younger women that it is serious and can happen. Pads should be normalized and there should be more commercials about pads rather than mostly commercializing tampons.

    good lord-you must have one of those light faint periods. That amount of TP wouldn’t have gotten me thru 15 minutes. I’d take the paper towel, cut up a plastic trash bag for a liquid barrier stopper and cut up some dish towels yo put between the paper towel and plastic and If I was hiking-take 5 extra paper towels with me. However if I had been your age- I simply would have laid on the couch crying at home with a heating pad, mega doses of ibuprofen, an icepack for my migraine, pepto for the nausea, and an anti-diarrheal for the inevitable…and sipped hot tea periodically thru my tears. Because exercising during my period only made the pains worse. I am so glad for you and all the others who never had to experience what some of us did monthly-I wouldn’t wish it on my enemy. Have a good hike. I LOVE to Hike.

    When I was in highschool, one of my friends asked if I had a pad with me. I said no, and I could see how her expression changed from hopeful to hopeless. I felt so bad. I always have a pad with me ever since.
    However, when I’m staying at my mum’s place, I tend to forget about any menstrual products because in my head I’m like “she’s the only women there, she must’ve never run out of products right” well wrong, cuz she’s older now and she doesn’t really get her period anymore which means, she just doesn’t stock up on it. You can still use paper towels… make it comfy by wrapping a couple layers of toilet paper..

    You could use paper towels since they are thicker but, put toilet paper at the top so it’s not rough.

    she must have a light period. That would not last more then 30 minutes for me on a light day lol. I’ve only ever done this when I was in a pinch and accidentally forgot to bring a pad or tampon with me to wherever I was or if the bathrooms didn’t have those dispensers where u can take one for 25 cents or something

    I did that trick multiple times when I get period but I am out situation.. Just instead of three loops I use 5 just to be secure and since my 1st day period is just warning period I can wear it for like 4-5 hours till I somehow get pads

    Maybe if you wrapped the kitchen towel in toilet paper so it's still soft but more absorbent??? That toilet paper situation would last less than a minute for me lol I would not be going anywhere but the bathroom if I forgot to bring pads

    I wrap toilet paper first then I fold up a little layer of paper towels underneath to act as a second barrier then I just lay it directly across the middle of my underwear like you would a pad with the toilet paper facing you because it's a bit softer

  • @keyykun180
    @keyykun180 Рік тому

    Is that enough for you? Seriously. Since toilet paper has small holes in them the liquid will absorb faster due to capillary action, making the paper wet quickly. So you sure it's okay?
