- Often referred to as a legend, Terada Katsuya is an illustrator who straddles the lines between being a manga artist, fine artist, and digital artist.
Terada Katsuya is probably best known in the United States as the character designer for the Japanese animated film Blood: The Last Vampire. He has also done work related to American comics, such as Iron Man and Hellboy (one of his illustrations was used for an official statuette of Hellboy). He also made additional contributions to early issues of Nintendo Power, including a special edition Strategy Guide for Dragon Warrior and artwork for The Legend of Zelda. In Japan, he was responsible for the original character designs for the Tantei Jingūji Saburō mystery adventure video game series and has worked prolifically on the series, most consistently as the cover illustration artist.

No no, Thank You! For making all these videos, I have learned SO much from you Guys :D
Mad respect for the guy translating lol
I was fortunate to attend this lecture, really happy to see it immortalized online
Thank you for sharing such incredible content.
Thank you so much for making this available, I'm a huge fan of this gentleman.
Fantastic. Another incredible and inspiring artist. Thanks Kazone!
Kazone..please continue..we love you!
So fascinating how he stores all that visual information. Makes you think does he have a photographic memory, or is he just really patient and takes time to observe?
Thank you for the video! One detail though: When translating what someone says in real-time it's always better to say "I", instead of "he". The translator should speak the words of the lecturer as-is, without recomposing them into a third-person perspective. Two reasons for that: First, the translator should remain "invisible" (saying "he" instead of "I" is a way to assess their own presence in the process and to create artificial distancing with the lecturer, which is both a little rude and quite irrelevant). Second, it creates potential confusion when the lecturer himself says "he" (talking about someone else). Because then we don't know when the translator says "he" if he means the lecturer himself or the person the lecturer is talking about. That being said, keep up the great work! :)
love the artwork
Thank you
I have his 2002 Artbook. This guy had a huge influence on mixed media artists like Miss Monster, but also French comic book artists like Joël Jurion and Florent Maudoux.
Thank you!
Kinda like da frog girl Kim Jung go made earlier hmmmm
Adam *orikyu* exactly what I thought! Frog helmets?
Is Kim Jung Go some kind of new meme or you just being wrong.
@@minseokwon6484 I think he just mispelled his name :)
That was very educational. I have thought a lot about iPad and Procreate. Maybe one day.
He's up there with Kim and Karl
Nabil he’s a living legend :)
Nabil The three kings
the guys in supeani sometimes dont seem human
why do you assume they are?
Basically, they were human at first then they eat the drawing god's fruit then they become drawing god
Drawing god's fruits are exclusively served at SuperAni, they didn't disclose how much they have though
@@fedgy810 your imagination will bring you somewhere, not in superani but somewhere.
This man is a God to me! He inspired me a lot. Thanks Kazone art for this video for seeing my god draw🙏
he is human yes he is grt artist
This is gold.
im also influenced by moebius
Ah yeah, what did you think about Metabarons character arc ?
thank you!!
Oxomia neki apuni?
@@dhimankalita1690 hoi hoi :)
🙏🙏🙏
Genial
What kind of brush is he using? Link?
when he mentions kim suns, does he mean kim jung gi?
Moebius is 💎💎💎
Kim jung gi almost did the exact same drawing? Plus, he's basicly just talking about the same things as Kim🤔
this is not a design lecture, it's just a demonstration of him drawing
he is drawing on digital pad or what? sorry volume is mute so
I've watched enough anime......
I dont need translation to understand terada sensei
I can't really stand the multiple voices talking at the same time so I just turn on captions and mute it lol
Audio is very distractive. If translator is constantly speaking at least mute Terada-san
Aeit Sorry! This will be the last one with this type of audio.
I really like this type of audio and I believe it’s standard for this type of translation
Although I don't mind this type of audio, I think you should at least lower the original audio volume. If not, it becomes distracting and hard to understand.
Anyway, thank you a lot for your videos! They are very entertaining and educational!
l don t like digital technic...suave!
