- An infant who was ripped from the womb last summer is bonding with the mother she will never know. Baby Haisley Jo is now being raised by her father, Ashton Matheny, in North Dakota. He was the longtime boyfriend of Savanna LaFontaine-Greywind. In August, Greywind’s body was discovered after her neighbor, Brooke Crews, cut the child out of her womb. Inside Edition was given exclusive access to the baby and found a touching bond between the child, who is now 5 months old, and her deceased mom. #InsideEdition

Loosing her mother is terrible for the child but I can’t imagine the pain and fear the mother went through in her final moments. It’s horrifying.

As a mother I know that in that moment I would be thinking only of my baby and she probably was too and that breaks my heart for her and her poor baby that will never know her it's one of my worst fears

It’s so horrible that this happened to the mother, but I’m glad the baby got a chance at life. Hopefully that baby can be a reminder to the grandparents that a piece of their daughter is still with them.

I read an article on this. They somewhat knew each other and she was going up there as a favor for the neighbor who said she was sewing a dress and needed her to help her with measurements. She was going up to be a friendly neighbor but was her kindness was taken advantage of.
