This was great Bonny. Such valuable info. I never thought of using Lightroom in that way. When I grow up I want to draw like you. Problem is I’m already 87 but one has to have goals 😂

I found this video very helpful. I work similarly with my thought processes but have been so intimidated by Lightroom so this helped me see much better how this can be really useful. Thank you so much Bonny ❤️

Yes ,I found this video so helpfull, is a wonderful way to see the way of the shading could go and observe the direction of the fur, thank you so much I will try to do that , as is a way to find the fine details in any photograph, dark or light but is necessary to do the right way to be more realistic ♡

I'm returning to colour pencil work and have loved watching your videos. Can I ask how you transfer your line art to the surface you've chosen please.

Yes of course. I create my line art digitally if I’m not freehanding - and then I use a projector 🥰

I found this incredibly helpful and useful! You’re an amazing teacher. Do you use a certain program to make the line art on the IPad?

Very helpful. Do you use colored pencil to transfer your line art onto the Pastelmat?

For tutorials I create a digital line art and then project onto the surface. I tend to do a very simple line art 🥰

I find it curious that painting an existing picture is illegal. So is painting a statue illegal? Also, this high tech stuff is awesome but there is something about it that to me seams like cheating in the creative process.. just my opinion im sure noone gives a darn lol 😝

Copyright is important - it’s just how it is :) And the high tech stuff - just a tool, like anything - would you dig a garden without a spade?

Wanted to add a note to this, about copyright.
Making an exact copy of an existing work in the same format is a no-no.
But derivative works (fair use or whatever the wording is - it varies from place to place) are fair game.
So making a copy in a different format - for example a painting of a statue (think of it as a really weird still life 😁) - is usually okay. Photos of 2D media and 2D representations of photos - where both are from the same angle - are not okay. But a photo of someone holding their newly acquired painting in front of them is okay.
Also, making a copy and changing it in some way, for example for the purpose of satire, is okay too. There are various law suits around that guide you on where the line is, but it really calls for exercising judgement...
So yes - it's all a bit of a legal minefield in places. Personally, I steer clear of it and only use what I can use with no doubt. 😁
Grateful to Bonny for sharing what she did in this case though - never know when it will be useful...
