This Tyrannosaurus Rex looks amazing and cannot wait to see the series grow with these incredible theropods! I also love the paint job and perfectly represent the Prehistoric Planet T Rex! Awesome review Andy!
I painted mine the same colors as the old Kenner rubber red rex. Now there is a story behind that I'm studying to become a film director in college and my idea is this, since the Jurassic franchise is "over" there's only one thing left to do REBOOT a Jurassic park reboot based completely on the book but with scientifically accurate dinosaurs with some of them having the coloration of the dinosaurs in the book and the others having the coloration of the old Kenner toys.
Would you be willing to make a video documenting how you painted this figure (if that's possible)? I preordered this same figure recently and I also want to paint it into a Prehistoric Planet T rex, and your version is just gorgeous!!
When I first saw this figure, I really liked it because it looked a lot like the Prehistoric Planet Design so I am deciding to get this one and repainting it like the Prehistoric Planet Design. Are you gonna show what paints you used for it tho?
Thanks for the video! I'm really excited about these. I won't get this one, but I'll definitely try to get the 1:18 scale (I'm obsessed with scale and 1:18 is the way to go for me). It's a relief that the figure can stand on its own. Did you try different positions without the stand or just what you showed on the video? I'd like to make stop motion videos, so that's an important part for me.
Thank you so much! It's not exactly a perfect tutorial but I did post a video recently that will allow you to watch how I paint a figure. Hopefully it'll help. Here is the link! ua-cam.com/video/2DQUvqIWNTo/v-deo.html
The Prehistoric Planet rex coloration is so naturalistic and you did an exemplary job bringing it to life! I don't suppose it's possible to commission you for that paintjob on a 1/35th grey rex? lol
Would you be able to do a figure painting tutorial? I have one of these but have never painting an articulated figure like this, so not too sure how to start…
The Beast of the Mesozoic T-Rex is one of My Favorite T-Rex figures and the Prehistoric Planet T-Rex is also one of my Favorite Designs of the T-Rex and combining both it's just amazing!
Your paint job looks amazing. I’m planning on painting my 1/18 Trex, to look like prehistoric planet’s male rex. But don’t know what colors to use. Any insight would be helpful.
Andy, how did you solved the jaw articulation issue, mouth popping up a little bit? I have got my 1/35 t-Rex now, but suffering with the jaw popping up issue… Anyway, really nice review as always!
If I got this one I’d wanna paint it as either one of the jp rexes (Rexy, Buck, and Doe) or the male Rex from dinosaur revolution (the one with the skull pattern on its face)
This Tyrannosaurus Rex 🦖 from Beasts of the Mesozoic is 💯 percent Dino-fantastic 😊! Unfortunately, i not the paint 🎨🖌️ expert 😅, so i must wait the painting version of Beasts of the Mesozoic Tyrannosaurus Rex 🦖😃. Overall i still enjoy watch this video 😁. Beasts of the Mesozoic Tyrannosaurus Rex is completely very similar to Prehistoric Planet's Tyrannosaurus Rex 🦖, perfect choice coloration, Andy 👍😊.
Of course the T-rex is badass, but holy cow your painting technique's Andy! It seems like yesterday you were painting shitty WalMart dinos & doing pretty good, but now look at wtf you did with this Rex! Amazing!
I really want this but I will only get it if I can get it painted. Does anyone happen to know where/who I can go to for help? (I don’t trust myself to paint it myself even following a tutorial)
I do like the feast of the Mesozoic Tyrannosaurus rex model it’s just I get rid of those lips and then you’ll find the best or at least one of the best models
Might be a stupid question but is the tyrannosaur series released yet? I haven’t purchased anything from the beasts of the Mesozoic line and I am interested in purchasing something from the tyrannosaur line. Am I able to, or do I have to pre order?
Well if it isn’t one of the Tyrannosaur Figures from Beasts of the Mesozoic. Although this “do it your own painting” is nice, but I prefer the fully colored ones that are known. Especially the one based on the creature from Walking with Dinosaurs. The 1999 BBC Documentary. I’ll be waiting for one of those.
Now if only they would release an unarticulated version lol. The BOTM figures remind me of Rusty The Tin Man from the old animated Wizard Of Oz series. Still can’t wait to see your paint app.
It's definitely not one of the best aspects of the figure but I was pleased to see that once you articulate it in a certain position you can kind of move that area to fit it a little better. It's kind of a free-floating area of the articulation so it allows you the ability to move it around. I didn't really notice that too much until after I was messing around with it for a little while.
Andy, your paint jobs are insane. So professional and super detailed and realistic.
Thank you so much! I REALLY appreciate it!!
This Tyrannosaurus Rex looks amazing and cannot wait to see the series grow with these incredible theropods!
I also love the paint job and perfectly represent the Prehistoric Planet T Rex!
Awesome review Andy!
Thank you so much!
The repaint turned out incredible
Thank you!!!
Your repaint really brought the rex to life, awesome repaint dude
Thank you very much!!
The skin of the Tyrannosaurus from Prehistoric Planet fit him very well.
Excellent review Andy!!
Beautiful paint job!! You really have a great sense for what the trex probably looked like
Thank you so much!
Wow… ok i am taken back by that paint job that is amazing you sir deserve an reward
Man you got some god level painting skill
Your painting skills are so good - im very jealous! I had to order the pre-painted one because if I tried to paint it, it would look like Barney!
Wow that paint job is amazing wish I had one w/ that paint job
your painting is off the charts. Damn impressive.
That's an insane paint job your a straight up Paleo artist

Wow love the Prehistoric Planet paint job!
i didnt think that was a repaint in the thumbnail, looks awesome
The amount of time I’ve been waiting and finnaly I can see it in all its glory
ABSOLUTELY beautiful sculpt from BOTM and the php paintjob goes so well with it 🔥🔥🔥
Thank you!!!
Would you be willing to make a video documenting how you painted this figure (if that's possible)? I preordered this same figure recently and I also want to paint it into a Prehistoric Planet T rex, and your version is just gorgeous!!
I love the repaint you did! Looks just like Hank from prehistoric planet

It can stand on it own, David Silva confirmed it
The 1/35 rex is absolutely ballin'. I need one.
Andy! your painting skills are amazing!!
Thank you so much!!!
Do you have tutorials on repainting dinosaur figures? Because you have done an amazing job on it.

That’s look like T-rex from 2022 Prehistoric Planet on APPLE TV
its an accurate tyrannosaurus so theres not much you can change with a design

Beautiful repaint. Nice job.

Wow the Rex repaint looks so cool, I wish I could get one
It also reminds of of the trex from prehistoric planet
good theyre finally being shipped
Imagine this version is used for Beast Wars Megatron. That would be cool.
Can u do a tutorial on how to paint it
Hey just wondering did u use a gloss sealer on the eyes and if u did do u mind telling me what kind it was thanks. Amazing vid btw.
I’m saving up to get the 1/18th scale T-Rex since I’m not quite good with repainting figures yet
My favourite youtuber
I said the Rebor Kiss TRex is my current favorite, now I digress
I love this action figure it has lots of detail I looked on Amazon and I found triceratops but on eBay I looked and they have it 😮
Nice paint job man!
Thank you so much!!
@@andysdinosaurreviews No problem! So uh since your here.. how on God's green earth do you afford all this stuff?!
Andy, how did you solved the jaw articulation issue, mouth popping up a little bit?
I have got my 1/35 t-Rex now, but suffering with the jaw popping up issue…
Anyway, really nice review as always!
this looks between Prehistoric Planet and RJ Palmers rex drawing he done for Saurian
great video it wit would be a big help if you could start telling us the cost of different figures yes including this one
Sorry about that. It's $64.99 plus shipping!
If I got this one I’d wanna paint it as either one of the jp rexes (Rexy, Buck, and Doe) or the male Rex from dinosaur revolution (the one with the skull pattern on its face)
Amazing figure
I wish I was a good painter that way I can make my own version of WWD
It looks awesome
Give us a tutorial its just so awesome
I'm going for the 1/35 tyrannosaurus rex due to budget reasons andy

Hank? wow... just wow...!
This is The best rex of the year indeed!!
I like rebor kiss more. I am less into the articulation but the bohm is still really good.
Oh my god it’s Hank!
Where can I get that?
I added a link to buy it in the description!
Oh ok
Ok I have decided that I'm gonna paint the 1/18 scale version with the prheistoric planet color scheme.
Great choice!
I painted mine a joker variant
In 1/18 scale
@@andysdinosaurreviews what are the color codes for the paints you used for this figure?
Now that is the best paleo-paintjob at par with John Gurche’s, not liking the melon and harlequin ceratopsians
Thank you very much!!!
Ok how much for that painted rex XD
*Also* Why and HOW is your pain job schemes superior to REBOR's? Teach us Andy

Only the grey Tyrannosaurs have released in 1/35th and 1/18th scale. You can buy them currently on Creative Beast Studios website!

If only prehistoric planet had released before they started the BOTM series, we would def get a prehistoric planet T. rex from them.
You can literally paint these things to resemble the ones in the Jurassic Park trilogy.
Thanks for the video!! See you later!! Stay safe.😊
This looks so much better than the color scheme they chose....
There are other versions of BOTM’s T-Rex figure
Thank you!!! Although I am actually a big fan of the paint jobs that they've chosen for the rex. Can't wait to get my walking with Dinosaurs version!
Gosh that paint job…
❤️❤️
I find it astounding that this figure can stand with perfectly normal-sized feet yet Mattel insists on supersized feet for their figures.
And yet, the mattel figures *still* can barely stand
@@ryuujitakasu4602 because they made their toys with a very short tail which affects the stability of their figures
