First of all, thank you for getting the 1:18 T-Rex out for comparisons (and retroactively comparing with the Albertasaurus!)! Second, I agree that this wave looks great so far and it just makes it difficult to narrow down what to get! …Though unfortunately, while the Tarbosaurus looks amazing, it gets knocked down in my priority list due to not being actually 1:18 scale…(probably would still get it eventually, but probably not before the other three big ones…🤔)
The only complaint i have with this one is that i wish it didn't reuse the Alberosaurus/Gorgosaurus/Daspletosaurus parts so it could be bigger, if the ones previously mentioned are about 50cm and the rex is about 70 then this one should be about 55-60 cm to be in scale
I believe someone mentioned in the Albertosaurus Review that this one is supposed to be taken as a sub adult. Not sure why it isn't labeled as one though.
@@andysdinosaurreviewsThat is just a last minute rationale to justify avoid making an intermediate body. David wanted to cut corners, and he did so by reusing body types. Realistically speaking, he could have created an intermediate body type with all the excess funding, but keeping the same body type allows him to keep the most profit from the figure.
Tbh I think it may have been an interesting idea to make a larger body size than this, in between the Albertosaurus and tyrannosaurus size, maybe with the other large tyrannosaur I’m blanking on the name of I think it’s zuchegtyrannus)
That Tarbosaurus is nicely scaled, but not quite accurately enough. This figure is roughly proportionate with a sub-adult Tarbosaurus for size. A full grown Tarbosaurus figure would, as David Silva has said, be similar in scale to the 1/18th scale T. rex, or about 27 inches long.
Still waiting from my order for this it i made a year or so ago it will be worth the wait just so stunning and pure art. the Mongolian predator from the T Rex family has to be in the top 5 rex family figures
I think you'd be okay. I've changed them tons of times on mine with zero issues. Though I can absolutely see where you're coming from and why you might worry about that.
It's tough lol. I work numerous jobs and try saving as much as I can. Paying with payment plans like PayPals pay in 4 helps a lot as well with larger purchases.
this should pretty much be a repaint of the t rex with smaller arms. tarbosaurus was nearly identical and most of the anatomical differences were inside the skull. they were basically the same size.
From what I read this is meant to be a sub adult which is the reason for the smaller size. I agree though. I actually like this size as it differentiates it a but from the rex. Though it would have been fun at the same time to see it in the larger size.
If there really is such a thing as natural looking dinosaur, obviously that would make this Tarbosaurus a female. Which is great btw! Again PNSO, you guys look even worse now thst BOTM dropped this fine lady to gawk at.
My man, Tarbosaurus be looking an erupting volcano. Explosive coloration on this beautiful animal.
Yes It is my favorite coloration out of the whole line I think
2024 were werewolves, not aliens, not dinosaurs, not at all horror and monsters?
only werewolves, not vampires, not zombies?

It’s not in 1/18 scale because David didn’t want to make a whole new body type due to costs, same with the terataphoneus

It should be bigger, but so does the Albertosaurus. Tarbosaurus wasn’t that different in size to Albertosaurus
@@paleoguy2165Almost 20% longer sounds like a noticeable difference.
@@paleoguy2165si Albertosaurus 9 - 10,1 m contre environ 11 m pour tarbosaurus sans oublier qu’il devrait être plus massif
Tarbosaurus bataar from Beasts of the Mesozoic is absolutely look so Dino-beautiful and so Dino-fantastic 🤩! Great video, Andy 🌷🤗.
Excellent figure of the Tarbosaurus 😊
Awesome review Andy!!
beautiful figure! shouldn't the Tarbo be closer to the size of the rex than the albertasaurus?

I like this one the most
I wasn’t really considering getting this one, but this may end up being my favourite, behind maybe the Gorgosaurus and Albertosaurus

You should do a comparison with the adult trike or toro!
I love the Tarbosaurus Battar way too much, right now, it’s my second favorite Tyrannosaur
No way!! I was debating getting myself this one as well

This one looks absolutely amazing
Creator Beast of Mezozic is always make Figures so best
And this Tarbo looks great
I think it's best Tarbosaurus figure in Paleo Dinosaurus
This one look more like a sub-adult than a fully grown adult
THIS IS SICK!!!!

Oh dang I will most definitely get this if I can't snatch the cyberzoic triceratops
I wanna see the gorgooo
I think Dino Scream Reviews will have that one
@@MinmiGamer ye i left a comment on his dasp video too
Cool
I would like to see a gorgasuarus
How big is it compared to the Mattel “tarbosaurus”

the Mongolian predator from the T Rex family has to be in the top 5 rex family figures
There is a new Hammond collection Velociraptor Delta and pyro Rapture figure
Liked this one but I thought it was rather small.
Is it undersized?
David didn’t want to sculpt a new body size for it so he says that it is a sub adult
Bruh the 1:18th scale Tarbosaurus is more like a 1:22th scale
I´m sometimes afraid of changing the Feet or legs that I break something!

They recommend using hot (not boiling) water to make the replacement easier and not crack the plastic.
My Yutyrannus is quite rigid when it comes to articulation.
Is there something I can do so it moves better?
Use a hair dryer to heat up the joints. That could help. Other than that just using the articulation should help to wear it in.
Thanks
Does the Tarbosaurus have smaller arms than the Albertosaurus?
Yes, it had the smallest arms of a tyrannosaur
How can you afford all these BOTM figures I want a lot of them but I can't afford it 😢
It's tough lol. I work numerous jobs and try saving as much as I can. Paying with payment plans like PayPals pay in 4 helps a lot as well with larger purchases.

What are you talking about??? Tarbosaurus was highly different to T Rex, the size might be a bit small but the sculpt is 100% on point
It is way too small.
It's meant to be a sub adult from my understanding However I'm not sure why it's not labeled as one.
Way too small. :/
