When I raced in the 80's, I used to ride home with a guy called Paul Eden, who was the grass track champ years ago in UK. Training, picked an area, one square block, in US,, and would sprint until wiped, turn right, sprint, and do this twice a week for an hour or two. His ride home, he hardly ever drove was about 25 mile in any weather

The big question is what would Patrick Lefevere say if this guy broke his collar-bone at a trivial criterium in Oklahoma?
The American peloton would be shredded if they raced 5 hours with this guy. Look at what happened at the national championships in Charlestown. This should never happen. Things have really fallen off the table in the USA since the loss of the Tour of California.

Once upon a time in the 1980's in a RTTC even one chilly morning in Derbyshire, one lone pro was in the 120 start list.
Lots of top amateurs turned up, I was sure some cream of amateurs would take it, JD said, nope let's see. We both rode, quite fun down the via gelia, the Pro won by minutes ha.

Alfredo's wheel slip affected Dusan's jump, Lamperti was already ahead of Alfredo at that point. Saw it in another video.

First of all, they’re all pros or category 1 …what they failed to mention is a “world tour pro” beat 125 other pros in the title!

My boy Luke grew up racing crits weekly as a junior. It’s just natural to him. A Giro in the legs helps too 😅

Great video. Having the Giro in your legs would def make this race seem like a short training ride. Trackies come off the TdF and do low 4minutes for the 4km pursuit at the olympics. The boost from a GT is off the scale.

For sure. This was very impressive. It's been cool to see Luke's progression over the years too. He is still getting better. Great for American cycling.
